Leikin Pov-
-The next day-

"Leikin," my mom said trying to wake me up. I ignored her as usual and put my face in my pillow and my sheets over my head.

"Leikin," she said louder, shaking me this time. "You've got to wake up, you have school!" I didn't respond. I hated wking up so early. I loved my sleep. Why cant school start at like midnight? I'd be happy to go then.

"Leikin Whitney Motte! Wake up! It will ne your fault when you are late for class because YOU didn't wake up!" She yelled as she ripped the blanket from my hands and pulled me from my sleeping position to a slight sitting position. I hated my middle name. Whitney. I just couldn't stand it. I have no idea why she named me that. Abosolutely no idea.

"Get ready," she said pointing a finger at me. I sighed and went to my closet to pick out an outfit. I got out of my room an made my way to the bathroom to shower. My younger brother, Nick was already there.

"Ya snooze, ya loose, big sis." he said as he shut the door. I rolled my eyes. Nick took the longest shower known to man. He's thirteen, what could he possibly do in the shower for so long....wait, I don't want to know. I went downstairs and got some orange juice from the fridge.

"Aren't you supposed to be getting ready?" my mom asked.

"Yeah, but Nick took the shower."

"I tried to wake you up so you could shower first, but NO you had to sleep."

" I never thought I'd say this, but I should've listened to you, mom," I said finishing my orange juice.

"You can use the shower in my bedroom, but be quiet. Your father was on the late shift last night," she said.
My dad was a doctor and was always working crazy hours. So, he didn't get to be with the family much.

After I got out of the shower, I threw on the outfit I put together earlier. When I was done getting ready, I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. My mom made eggs and toast. Nick came downstairs shortly after. We ate and them my mom drove us to school. When she got to my school, she hugged me.

"Have a good day," she said.

"Bye, sis," Nick said from the backseat of the car.

"Bye," I mumbled as I walked into school.

I went straight to my locker and opened it. I noticed that the guy that sam likes has the locker next to mine. Alli told me about it. I called Sam to talk to her about it last night. She was all tense and bitchy about it though... I wonder why. I should talk to him, like small-talk. No Sam-talk. No Sam-talk.
"Hey," I said. No Sam-talk.

"Hi," he replied. No Sam-talk.

"I'm Leikin," No Sam-talk.

"Zack." Absolutely No Sam-talk.

"I'm friends with Sam," God. Dammit.

"Oh, you are?" I nodded. Suddenly, the bell rang signaling homeroom. Thank God.

**

-Sam Pov-

I stood by my locker and packed my books in my locker.

"Hey," I heard Alex say as he leaned against the locker next to mine.

"What do you want, Gaskarth?" I asked playfully.

"Ok, I want to become better friends with you and get to know you better. I've been irritating you for about a week now and it has just lost its touch," He said calmly. I laughed slightly.

" I guess so, I-"

"YAY! We can have sleepovers and do nails and be bffs!" He exclaimed getting weird looks from people walking by us. We laughed a little bit.

"Uh, maybe not best friends,you'll have to fight Kat, Alli , and Leikin for that spot," I said closing my locker.

"I'm up for it!" I said flexing his "muscles" that were actually just skin and bone. We spent most of the morning telling eachother anything and everything about eachother. I could definitely see this friendship lasting a long time.

-Leikin Pov-

Right after homeroom, I ran to Alli's locker in desperate need to tell her about my morning. I saw her talking to a tall guy. I found him kind of cute.

"Hey," I said

"Hey," Alli replied. The boy waved to me.

"I'm Leikin," I said softly putting my hand out for him to shake.

"I'm Jack," He replied shaking my hand. I almost froze looking at him. He was even cuter up close. I needed to get to know him. A simple handshake couldn't satisfy my need to at least befriend him. I noticed that we were still shaking hands and pulled mine back quickly. Who says love at first sight doesn't exist?

"So, Leikin, why are you here?" Alli asked interrupting Jack and I.

"I met Sam's future hubby!"

" Shut up!" Sam said overhearing us as she walked by.

"It's true!" Alli yelled back.

"So, how'd you meet him?" Jack asked.

"You know about this too?" I asked. No wonder Sam was pissed, I'd be too.

"I'm Zack's friend, he always talks about her," He replied rolling his eyes slightly and laughing lightly. Lord, I think I'm in love.

"Oh. Well, we have the same homeroom and his locker is right next to mine."

"You didn't talk to him about Sam, did you?" Alli cut in.

"I just told him that we were friends."

"Ok, good," Alli replied. Suddenly, the bell rang.

"Well, I have to go," I stated

"Bye," she replied.

"It was nice meeting you," Jack smiled softly.

"The feeling's mutual," I smiled back walking to my next class.

-Allison Pov-

I saw the way Leikin's face lit up when she saw Jack. It was the same eay she looked at her favorite pair of nikes in the mall two years ago. She was in love. There was no doubt about it. Jack and Leikin are so alike, they are bound to be together someway, somehow.
