What Can I Say

"But it's not fair," I argued.

"I don't think so either but it's stuck. Can't believe they fucking cheated," Alex agreed.

"I was at that show, you guys were way better than any of the other bands, and I'm not speaking out of bias. You guys had a cleaner sound and it's obvious the crowd responded to you so much more than the other groups. I want to go slap them."

"Shay, it's okay, it doesn't really matter. I mean we are coming out with an album remember? They probably aren't so who really won in the end?"

"I guess you're right. You just should've got what you deserve and it sucks that you didn't."

"It's life, that's all it is."

I sighed and played with the straw of my smoothie. I looked at it and sighed absentmindedly. Alex stood up, picking up the trash from the cheese fries we shared. slung my purse over my arm and stared at him, his back still to me. His black skinny jeans clung to his legs and he was wearing a plain gray t shirt. His hair looked like slightly organized sex hair. He was wearing converse again and I couldn't help but lower my eyes and smile. For someone who wasn't capable of emotions I felt something. It didn't matter, I swore that I would never hurt Alex and I meant to live by those words.

He smiled at me when he walked back and nodded for me to follow him. I smiled at him and quickly took my place at his side. We were walking to the Halloween store because, not only was it our favorite holiday, it was also September so they were open now. We were immediately greeted by the smell of fake fog and plastic when we walked in, I couldn't help but feel a bigger smile stretch across my face.

"You're so in love with the creepy," he smiled.

"Halloween is the shit. Don't even with me idiot," I laughed.

"You're the idiot."

I slapped his arm jokingly and continued to walk around the store. I enjoyed the creepy undertone that it held. I couldn't help but look through the costumes, wanting to be everything that was in here. I looked over at Alex who was looking through the same stuff that I was. He snickered and picked up one of the plastic bags up and threw it to me. There was a scantly clad woman on it who seemed to be having a hard time keeping herself in her dress. I think she was supposed to be a Viking.

"You can wear that," Alex said, smiling.

"I think you'd look better in it. I'll wear it if you wear it," I said.

"I'm what size, a large?"

"You are not serious are you?"

He picked up a large and walked to the changing rooms. I waited outside the room, waiting for him to come out. I'm the only person that he would do this with, all the guys would just laugh at him but I would encourage him and let him have his moment. He came out a few moments trying to pull the short skirt down, trying get more coverage out of it. I couldn't help but laugh at his uncomfortable face, he did look quite hot dressed like that though. Had I believed in love I would be all over him.

"How do you girls do this," he asked, trying to get more clothing out of the outfit.

"Very carefully, the back isn't done right," I said.

I walked behind him and quickly tied the back up, helping slightly with his problem that was the entire outfit. I couldn't help but laugh at his discomfort, it was quite amusing to witness. I was so glad that no one was here to see us because they would definitely have some questions.

"Well, do I look hot like this," he asked.

"Honestly, yes. If you legitimately wear that I will let you pick out what I will wear. I'm dead serious," I told him.

"You're on sweet cheeks. You are going to hate me."

"I don't believe in hate buddy boy."

Alex dressed in sexy women's Halloween costumes, what is up with my mind? I really hope y'all enjoy this, I was out all day and went to a waterfall and it was really nice. This weekend was awesome and I'm kind of sad that it has to end but it must. Also, it's Halloween season so I'm stocked.
