What Can I Say

You did this

"I need to see her," I announced as we sat in Rian's downstairs room.

"She might not want to see you, did you think of that," Rian snapped.

"What the fuck is wrong with you Rian?"

"Just give up with her, it's not worth it."

"I love her and you're saying it's not worth it? Seems pretty worth it to me."

"Whatever, do it, I don't even care anymore."

I packed my guitar up, putting it where it typically goes. I walked out of his house, there was so much I wanted to do for her, she deserved so much more than what I had given her. I would do anything just to see her smile again. I mean, yeah I wanted her to be happy but I wanted her back so bad. I know that's a lot to say but it was completely honest, I did care more about her happiness than my own but I'm still human.

I walked into the grocery store, desperate to find something for her that would begin to show just how sorry I was for absolutely everything that had happened. I know she was the one who broke up with me but I still felt guilty for the entire thing. I found a bouquet of her favorite flowers and her favorite flavor of ice cream.

As I walked to the counter the woman smiled to me. I was looking through my wallet trying to find my card so I didn't have to worry about it later. Once I had that pulled out I made eye contact with the clerk once again.

"How badly did you screw up," she joked.

"Well, we aren't together anymore," I muttered.

"Oh, I'm so sorry."

"It's fine, I'm trying to make it better."

I paid and collected the bag, walking out of the store. I sighed, hoping this was enough to win her back. I got in my car, driving to her house. There was no way that Rian was correct, she would take me back, right? As I got closer to her house I was relieved to see that she was home alone. I gathered the bag and walked up to the door, knocking carefully. She answered the door, her hair a mess and a hoodie reaching down to her mid thigh.

"Oh, um, hi," she said softly.

"Hey Shay," I smiled.

"What's with the flowers and all of that?"

"I wanted to get you back Shay-leigh."

"Oh, um, I'm, kinda, uh, seeing someone..."

Her voice trailed off and she broke off eye contact. She was seeing someone? Who was she seeing? I heard footsteps travel down the stairs towards the door. I saw Trent wrap his arms around her waist and lay his head on her shoulder. His hair was just as screwed up as hers. Trent, really?

"Alex, you remember Trent right," she asked softly.

"Yeah, uh hey Trent," I said.

"Hey, Shay, let's go back upstairs," he whispered into her ear just loud enough for me to hear.

"Bye Alex," she giggled closing the door.

Rian was right, I should have never come here. I really needed to listen to that boy more often than I do.

Notes

Filler chapter cause I haven't updated in forever and I'm sick (kinda) today (it's a long story as to how I'm sick but not really). Don't worry, this is going to pick back up soon, especially on all my stories. I've been super busy with everything lately and that's why my u[dates are very rare right now.
