Toxic valentine

Jacks POV

Fuck I couldn't find Alex.
I went over to Zack and his group of friends.
"Have you guys seen Alex?" I asked quickly.
"You've lost him already? Jesus Jack can't keep anyone can you?" Austin said.
"Now is not the time to joke Austin. Have you guys seen him?" I said.
"Sorry Jack we haven't but we've heard that he's completely lost it though and the last place anyone saw him was by the river with some dead animal talking to it about how life is a gift or something." Zack said.
"He's a fucking nutter if you tell me." Brendon said.
I punched him hard round the face.
"No he's not! He has powerful gift that none of you can understand let alone cope as well as he is doing so shut the fuck up about him!" I said loudly.

I ran too the river and Alex was sat there looking round.
"Alex you had me worried." I panted and I sat next to him.
"Well that's a first someone has worried about me." He said quietly and looked at the dead deer on his lap.
"He won't wake up. Why won't he wake up?" He said and started to cry and started to whisper in its ear and looked to see if it would wake up.
I put my hand on top of his.
He looked at me.
"Somethings aren't meant to be brought back. Their time has come and they can't be brought back. No matter how hard you try somethings are better left dead." I said quietly.
"But how can something so beautiful stay dead?" He asked and looked at the deer again and started to run his hand down its neck.
"Even beauty can't stop you being dead. We all will die at some point, some sooner than others." I said.
"But its not fair that such beautiful things should die." He said quietly.
"Life isn't fair Alex." I said and looked out to the river.

We stayed by the river for ages.
Alex nursing the deer and I was just staring out to space.
I saw Alex shiver.
"Come on, let's go back to school and get you a hot drink." I said quietly.
"I can't leave it here. Something might come and do something to it." He said sounding really upset about it.
"Lex, your freezing cold. Your going be getting ill if you don't come indoors." I said and kneeled beside him.
He looked at me.
"You called me Lex. No one has called me that." He said looking down.
"Well, let me call you that and only me." I smiled.
He nodded and ran his hand down the deers neck one last time and move it gently to the side of himhim and got up.
I got up and pulled him into a hug.
"Jesus Alex your freezing." I said and picked him up bridal style and walked back to school.

Everyone looked at us when we walked through the corridor.
"Stop staring." Alex said softly and everyone stopped and carried on what they was doing.
I took us to the food hall and sat him on the table and took my coat of and put it over his shoulders.
He looked at me and smiled and pulled the coat round him more.
"Coffee or tea?" I asked.
Alex looked at me.
"I'm guessing tea?" I chuckled and Alex nodded.
I smiled and kissed the top of his head and walked over to the tea machine thinging we had and got Alex's tea.
I handed it to him.
He took it and started to mess with it.
He smiled at his amusement.
I smiled and studied him.
I didn't get very far with it as the head walked in.
Alex didn't notice him and carried on whatever he was doing to his drink.
"Where was he?" He asked.
"By the river. Nursing a dead deer trying to bring it back to life." I said quietly and looked at Alex.
"I'm going to do a whole school assembly tommorow and tell them about Alex." He said and Alex looked up.
"I'm won't say who you are. But I am gping to tell them about your gift and if anything like today happens again then they will have to look for Jack or me." He said.
"They think im crazy." He said sadly.
"Because they dont understand you, once they know then they wont think your crazy." I said.
Alex reached over to me and put his hand on my cheek and showed me something. He pulled his hand away and picked his tea up and started to mess with it again.
"Its not going to happen here. They were immature. Nothing like that is going to happen here okay." I said and pulled him to my side.
Sir looked at us and I shook my head.
He smiled.
"Go home you two. I'll see you two tommorow." He smiled and walked off.

We walked back to Alex's after we went back to mine and picked some clothes up.
We walked inside.
"Vlad where are you?" He asked quietly but his voice still carried round the house.
Vlad appeared from the kitchen.
"Alec what is the matter?" He asked.
"They've left Vlad. They're not coming back." He said sounding like he was about to start to cry again.
"Alec, I'm so sorry." He said quietly and walked forward and pulled him into a hug. He said something in Russian in Alex's ear.
Alex pulled back and nodded.
"Um. I want some space, so make yourself at home." He said quietly and walked out the room.
I looked at Vlad.
"You want to help me with getting tea sorted." He smiled.
I nodded and followed him to the kitchen.

"You seem to know a lot about Alex." I said as I looked out the window and saw Alex looking at the tree.
"I know the boy better than he knows himself sometimes." He said.
"Can you explain to me why when he goes of on one he goes on about bring things back to life? And talks about their family being broken up and someone is going to be left on their own." I said.
Vlad stopped what he was doing and looked at me.
"This is new to me. Normally if he lost it he would be taking it out on anyone. But this, this is new so I cannot help you on it. But your a smart boy so you can work it out." He smiled.
"What did he mean when he said they've left him?" I asked.
"Alec's relationship between his family has never been good. It got worse after what happened. He's parents went away more, the last 4 years its just been me and Alec most of the time. I guess they've completely given up on him. The poor boy does not need that." Vlad said and looked out the window.
"I've been with many masters. I can say Alec is the nicest one I have been with. He'll always stick up for me if she comes round and braking her orders. He will make a good ruler one day." He smiled again and went back to work.
"I'll be back in a second." I said and put the knife I was using down.
"Take as long as you need sir, I have it under control. " He chuckled.

I went outside and sat under the tree with Alex.
Alex was smiling a little.
"He might be an asshole but he's pretty much the only family I have." He said quietly.
"You heard what we said?" I asked.
"Yeah, mind reading has its good and bad sides" He chuckled.
"Come help us with sorting the food out." I said getting up offering him my hand.
"I know nothing about sorting food out." He chuckled.
"Let me teach you then." I smiled.
Alex rolled his eyes and put his hand in mine and I helped him up.
"If I cut myself I'm blaming you." He said and playfully hit my chest.
"Get to kiss iot better then." I smiled.
Alex reached up and kissed me softly and pulled back and looked at me.
He smiled and I dragged us indoors as I was cold.

"Alec, you don't do it like that but you do it like this." Vlad said and he tried to show Alex how to do something.
"I don't get it." He chuckled.
"Here let me show you." I said and stood behind him and put my hands over his and guided him on how to do it.
He looked at me and smiled and looked back to what we was doing.
"See its not that hard." I said quietly in his ear.
"I'm trying to consintate here." He chuckled.
Vlad muttered something in Russian which made Alex laugh and reply back in Russian.
"You love it Vlad." He smiled.
A load of Russian came out his mouth.
Alex just shook his head.

We had our food and me and Alex was upstairs.
"Do you think I'm crazy?" Alex asked and looked at me from the floor since he was sat on the floor and I was sat on the bed.
I rolled onto my front and looked at him.
"A little. But I don't care, your different and I like that I like different." I said and rolled onto my back with my head hanging of the bed.
Alex looked at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing. Just thinking." He smiled.
"About what?" I asked.
Alex moved so he was sat in front of me.
"You." He said quietly and kissed me.
"What about me?" I asked again.
"That you will have to wait until the month is up and then I'll tell you." He said and kissed me again.
