Alex's POV

Jack was flat out asleep beside me.
I couldn't sleep as I was too busy thinking and my gift was being a pain.

When I was like this I would write or play my guitar but I couldn't play the guitar since Jack was asleep and I don't think he would like it if I woke him up.
I sat up and quietly got out of bed and pulled some pants on and walked over to the desk and turned the small light on.
I looked over and Jack was still asleep so I carried on doing what I was going to do.
'My head is haunting me and my heart feels like a ghost.
I need to feel something, cause I'm still so far from home.
Cross your heart and hope to die,
Promise me you'll never leave my side.'
I scribbled down.
I sat there and looked at it and carried on writing.

I must of fell asleep at the desk as I felt someone tap my shoulder.
"Alex, wake up we're late!" Jack said quietly and walked off somewhere.
I sat up and looked at him.
He had stolen my clothes.
"Why you wearing my clothes?" I asked and got up and slowly walked over and picked up a baggy jumper and pulled it on.
"Because I can't exactly go to school wearing exact same clothes as I was yesterday. And I hope you don't mind." He said and looked down.
"Knock yourself out." I muttered and pulled a pair of jeans on.
I looked up and saw Jack looking at me.
"What?" I asked as I pulled a beanie on as I couldn't be bothered to do anything with my hair.
"Nothing, just wondering if your normally this grumpy and cute when you wake up." He said quietly.
"Well its a yes to the first and yes to the second one." I smiled and grabbed my boots and put them on.
"Damn." Jack muttered.
I grabbed my bag and went downstairs Jack following me.
"Alex I thought you had already gone to school." Vlad said as we ran down the stairs.
"Nope and we're late see you later Vlad." I said and ran out the door.
"See ya Vlad." Jack said and ran after me.

We had to run all the way too school.
I ran straight into the head which made Jack run into me.
"Fuck." Jack panted.
"Yes it is very much fuck Jack. Now get to your lesson." He said.
We turned round.
"Not you Alex. You're spending the day with me." He said.
I looked at Jack who looked at the head.
"Why?" I asked confused.
"Because you are now get your work and I'll be seeing you in 10 minutes in my office." He said and walked off.
"For fuck sake." I muttered and walked off to my first lesson.
"No bye or kiss then?" Jack asked.
I stopped and rolled my eyes and went over and kissed him.
"See ya later Jack." I smiled and walked off.

I got my stuff and I kicked the heads door and the opened I walked in and saw grandmother.
"Why are you even here grandmother?" I asked and put my stuff on a table and went over to her.
"I need to see if what you say is true." She said.
"Want me to show you?" I asked and raised my hand.
"You can make things up." She growled.
"What I go through is something you simply can't make up and you should know this grandmother." I growled back.
"Alex.." The head said.
"Silence!" I snapped and compelled him.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Taking you away. Clearly this place is no good to you." She said looking down her nose.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. Especially after last time, which by the way still very strong in my mind." I said quietly.
"You where a little shit and in my eyes your still one." She spat.
"I will always be a little shit excuse while I don't beg for your forgiveness." I said sarcastically.
"I do not regret nothing I have done. You don't like it because I am better and stronger than you. You don't like it because as soon as your six feet under I am going to be sitting in the big chair of yours." I said.
"You will not speak to me like that." She said loudly.
"Don't speak to me like it. It works both ways grandmother. Show respect you get it back if you don't show respect then don't expect it to be given back." I said calmly which was a huge shock to me and grandmother.
"Take him." She said to a guard.
He grabbed hold of my arm I gave him the biggest electric shock I have ever given anyone.
It was save to say he was out for the count.
One of the other gaurds moved.
"If you come near me you will be dead do i make myself clear?" I said softly.
He nodded and backed off.
"You see grandmother, unlike you people respect me. They will not live in fear of me. I am going to stand up for them and i will make sure that their voices will be heard. I am not scared of you and I will never be scared of you. You know that and so does everyone else. I want you out of my life. Don't bother calling mam and dad as they have left me. I bet your happy now. Your family is now broken and its all your fault. Not mine, not Erica's, not mam or dad. Yours. I truly hope that you will think about this and realize that your are going to grow into a lonely old person who has no one to blame but yourself. And I know that will happen because I have seen it." I said quietly
She looked at me shocked.
"I didn't want them to leave you, just to talk to you Alex." She said.
"Well they have and now I have no one! And it's all your fucking fault! I fucking hate you! I will spend the rest of my fucking life hating you! Get out of my fucking life and don't fucking bother coming back!" I screamed at her.
I was full of pure rage at this point t and the head worked it out and so did everyone else in the room.
"Alex calm down." She said softly.
"Get the fuck out of my head. Going tell me what to do? I am not them! I am a prince since you've been banging it into my head. And I will be treated like one!" I shouted.
"As you wish." She said quietly and bowed her head.
This meant she knew that I was at my worst when I was like this and the best thing she could do was go.
"Alexander, just keep you head up." She said quietly and walked off.
"I don't need your words of wisdom. It never get me anywhere." I snarled.
Then she walked out.
I picked up the nearest thing and threw I hard against the wall.
I heard the door open and shut but I didn't notice anything.

Jacks POV

I felt really different while sitting in lesson.
Like I was ready to kill someone but I couldn't.
Then the head came into class.
"Jack can you come to my office please." He asked.
"What have you done now?" Rian asked.
"Don't have a clue." I muttered and went to the door.

"I don't have a clue what's wrong with him." The head said quickly.
"Wrong with who sir?" I asked and stopped.
Then I felt a load of sadness go through me.
"Alex, he's proper losing it in my office, he almost killed someone Jack." He said.
I saw his grandmother.
She came over to me.
"You have to look after him more than ever now. You look after him for me." She said sounding like she was going to cry.
I nodded and she left.
I walked quickly to the office and opened the door.
I couldn't see Alex.
"Alex where are you?" I asked quietly and walked into the room.
"Jack?" Alex asked and peered out from the side of sir's desk.
I walked over and sat down next to him and pulled him to my side.
"Let it all out okay. I won't say anything." I said quietly and kissed the top of his head and Alex started to cry quietly.
"I've got you." I whispered and pulled him closer to me.

Alex stopped crying but he was too quiet and he was looking really lost.
I looked over to the head and I went over to him keeping an eye on Alex.
"What happened?" I asked.
"She came in demanding to see Alex. So he came in and they started shouting but Alex soon got the upper hand over her and a load of stuff was said but I don't know what was said." He said quietly.
I smiled and looked at Alex.
"He's stubborn I can give him that. He also is very good at making people listen to what he has to say and he won't be stopped until his opinion has been told." He said looking at me.
"That's Alex for you." I said quietly and Alex came over.
"Here." He said and grabbed hold of my hand and faced it plam up and a flower slowly started to grow.
He moved and walked round the place lost in his world.
Sir looked at him funny.
"I don't know what's going on. I'm still learning about him." I said quietly and looked at my hand and the flower had disappeared.
Alex found something which he didn't like and rushed round and stood in front of us.
"Why kill something so little and harmless? What has it done to you?" He asked and held this dead mouse in front of our faces.
"It was chewing holes in my wall." Sir said.
"But you didn't have to kill it. The world is full of death. It shouldn't be but it is, life is a gift and you shouldn't take a life away from something which was doing something which was natural to it." He said.
I was really confused now.
"No one has the right to take life away from others. This little guy could of had a family. His family could be blaming someone for its death. Then it's family will be broken and then the one who got the blame will be one its own not have anyone there for them." He said quietly studying the mouse.
He put his mouth close to its ear.
"Alex don't." I said.
He looked at me.
"I need to make sure that it's family isn't broken." He said sounding like he was about to cry and he whispered something in its ear and it started to move round in his hand.
"Why take a life? Too many life's have been lost, good people who didn't deserve to die and not been able to return back to living. Life is a gift but being brought back to life is the greatest gift you can have. It means you can start again and start fresh." He said quietly and looked at the mouse.

I looked at sir who looked at me.
"He's crazy." Sir said.
Alex looked at him.
He eyes where no long brown but black.
I got up and stood in front of him.
"It's my job to look after the ones who don't have a voice and that includes humans." He said quietly.
He walked away from me and sat on the floor.
"You go and be free." He whispered to the mouse and let him go.
He watched it go and stood up.
He went over and grabbed a book.
He opened it to a random and put his hand on a page.
A tear started to roll down his face.
"No, not you." He said quietly and dropped the book on the floor.
He went over to the head and grabbed hold of his hand.
Sir snatched his hand out of his.
"Let me look?" He asked softly.
Sir nodded and he grabbed his hand and looked out to the distance.
"No!" He said loudly and ran put the room.

I looked at Sir.
"Go after him." He said quietly.
I ran out the room.
"Alex." I said loudly as I went and looked for him.
