We were all five currently sitting in the back lounge. Krys was on my left side, and Jack was on my right. Rian, Zack, and Jack were all playing Mario Kart, and Krys was just sitting there staring into space. I was really worried about her, she hasn’t said very much since we got back to the bus. Her phone kept beeping saying she was getting text messages, but she was ignoring them. They would come in every minute, for about a whole hour. Which tells me they have to be from Cory.

I turned and looked at her right when her phone started ringing. This time it was a call coming thru, and she looked at the screen. She let out a small gasp and answered the phone. Putting it on speak, because she didn’t want to put it up to her ear. “Hello?” Her voice was soft, no more than a whisper. The boys paused their game and we were all watching her.

“Krys. Where the fuck are you?!” The voice shouted into the phone. It had to be Cory, no other person would scream at such a sweet girl like that, at least I hope not.

“Y-you don’t need to know w-where I am, C-cory.” She stuttered out. She looked so frightened. I wanted to just pull her into my side and hold her so she wouldn’t be scared, she had no right to be scared. A good boyfriend should never make their girlfriend scared.

“You fucking tell me where you are right now! I’m going to fucking kill you! You had no fucking right to leave me!” He shouted. When the words left his mouth, my blood started to boil. How can someone be so cruel. I grabbed the phone from Krys and pushed myself up off the couch, storming out of the front lounge and rushing outside the bus. “Krys! Fucking answer me!” I took the phone off speaker and put it up to my ear.

“Now you fucking listen here and you listen good. Never come near Krys again or I will kick the living shit out of you! Do you fucking understand me?!” I was shouting now.

“And who the fuck is this?!” He sounded really confused now.

“You don’t need to know who the fuck I am! Leave Krys the hell alone, you fucking prick!” Before he could say another word, I threw the phone on the ground and stomped on it. I let out a sigh and calmed myself down before going back into the bus and going to the back lounge again. When I got there, Jack was holding Krys as she was crying. “Um, so, we are going to have to stop and get you a new phone. I’ll buy you any phone you want, and we will get you a new number as well.”

I walked over to the couch and sat on the other side of her, she pushed Jack off softly and lifted my right arm up, and putting it over her as she cuddled into my side. I used both of my arms and pulled her onto my lap, letting her cry into my chest. She was so frightened and I wanted to take care of her. No, I didn’t need to take care of her, I want to. Something in my heart tells me that she is meant to be on this bus with us. She’s meant to be happy with us. She’s meant to be happy around people. Happy every second of the day. Happy being around me. I didn’t have feelings for her, I just wanted to keep her safe. She deserved that at least.
