I sat beside Jack who had Miracle on his lap. We were about to open gifts, and I knew that everyone spoiled her rotten. Gift after gift, my jaw dropped more and more. I never thought a child could be have so much and stuff so elegant at one! She received:

• Three dollhouses
• Four gigantic teddy bears
• Dolls out the ass
• A Dora CD player
• Webkinz
• Clothes
• Fake jewelry
• Binkies
• Diapers
• New equipment
• A Barbie Jeep

The last gift was from me. I knew that I had topped everyone off though which I took as an award. I handed her the box with holes all through it. Jack looked at it like I was nuts. "What the hell is in that, Lex?"

"You'll see. Here, open it, Miri," The box was placed in her hands, and the minute she pulled the top off, the head of a snow white, baby kitten popped out. The kitten, who was a girl, let out a shrill cry. Miracle gasped at the sight.

"Kitty! Kitty!" she yelped. She picked the cat up and set it on the ground. The cat could barely walk, so when her feet hit the ground, it stumbled over. Jack looked at me with widened eyes.

"You got her a cat?"

"Yup! Beat you all!" I stuck out my tongue to tease them. "So," I turned my attention back to Miracle, "what do you want to name the kitty, Miri?" Miracle looked up at me with her chocolate orbs.

"Boo! Boo! Boo!" she chanted. Yeah, we both knew that she would chant that any other time, but Jack and I gave each other a look that indicated it would be the perfect name for the kitty.

"Okay, Miri. Her name can be Boo."

Both parties were magnificent. I ended up getting a new video game system along with three hundred bucks from my folks. After the party was over, I walked upstairs and got in bed with Jack. I laid back with a huff. He looked over at me. "What's wrong, baby?"

"Jack," I looked to meet my eyes with his, "tonight was a great night. And, I never thought I would get to have any of these moments." Jack sat up.

"Babe, tell me what's wrong. You can tell me."

"Jack, I... I want to go out of state for college."
