It’s been four months since Alex and I got back together, and he just got released from his graduation. Today was a pretty special day for our little family. With Alex graduating, and it also being Miracle’s one year birthday. After this, we were all going over to Rian’s house for a party that him and Cass had been working on since the morning, half of it was going to be a graduation party for Alex, and the main of it was going to be a birthday party for our little princess.
I stood in the hall next to Alex’s parents, who I never really forgave, but put up with them. We were currently waiting for Alex to walk through the doors, with all the other students. I finally seen him walk out and I set Miracle down. I pointed Alex out to her and she took off running to him. I chuckled when he saw he and picked her up and spun her around.
I went up behind Alex and put my arms around his waist as he held Miracle in his arms, with a huge smile on his face. “You did it, babe.” He turned around in my arms and looked me in the eyes.
“You two are the only reason I was ever able to do it. Now, we just need you to graduate from college.” He giggled.
“Oh trust me, I’ll be doing the same thing you just did in a couple of months.” I smiled down to him before placing a peck on his lips. “Now come on. We have to get you and the birthday girl to the party.” He nodded his head and put Miracle on the ground. She grabbed on to one of my hands, and one of his as we began walking. It was moments like these that I will remember forever.
“The graduate and birthday girl are here!” I shouted as we entered the house. I looked around and saw everyone in the room. Zack, Rian, Cass, our high school lacrosse team, even our old coach, also my college lacrosse team. “This is amazing guys!” I said as I looked around more and smiled.
I set Miracle on the ground and she basically ran her way over to Vic. He was her new favorite person. Alex and I laughed as Vic acted like he was running away from her, it was a cute sight to see. I loved how everyone got along so well, and that Miracle loved them so much.
“Okay, I think we should have Miracle’s party first. That way she can open my gift first.” Kellin said. Alex and I nodded and laughed.
“Miri, come here babygirl.” I said as I squatted down. She giggled and ran over to me. I picked her up and put her on my shoulders, as I walked to the middle of the living room and sat down, bringing her down on my lap. “Time to open gifts sweetie.”
“You guys better not have spoiled her too bad.” Alex said as he sat down next to us. I looked around the room and saw the guilty looks on everyone’s faces. That’s okay if people spoiled my baby, I got her a huge teddy bear, huge doll house, oh and can’t forget the barbie jeep at home. Of course, Alex didn’t know about any of my gifts, he would have scolded me so bad.
