This was it. This was the moment I have been waiting for all night. I was finally going to ask the question I have been wanting to ask for the past month. I’m pretty sure everyone in this house tonight has been waiting for this moment. As they all knew it was coming already. To say I was nervous to ask, would be a huge understatement. I was petrified to ask. I took a couple steps back from Alex and let out a deep breath before putting my hand in my pocket, pulling out a small velvet box.
This was it. The time has finally come. I got down on one knee and looked up at Alex, he had his hand over his mouth as he let out a gasp. Miracle was just resting her head on his shoulder, which I found really cute. I opened the box and spoke.
“Alexander William Gaskarth. We have been together for a little over four years now, and I know we are still pretty young, but I can’t even think of a life without you. I want all three of us to officially be a family. I want us to be able to talk to one another if something goes wrong. Miracle deserves to grow up with a family that is whole. She deserves everything, just like you. You both deserve the whole world and I want to be the person who gives that to each one of you. So what do ya say? Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?” I bit my lip. I was so nervous and eager to hear his answer.
“Here Alex, let me take Miracle.” Rian said as he walked over and took her from him. He tried to protest, but Cass glared at him from behind Rian. I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit. His protectiveness over our daughter was so cute. He looked down at me, and looked me right in the eyes. I knew for sure my eyes were the look of hope, because that’s all I could think of right now. I really hoped he would say yes, this silence was killing me.
“My answer is yes.” He whispered as he nodded his head and wiped a tear with his sleeve. I couldn’t help the ever growing smile on my face as I stood up and placed the ring on his finger. I wrapped my arms around him and everyone cheered and clapped for us. We pulled away from the hug and he smiled up at me. “Can I go get Miracle now?” I chuckled and shook my head.
“Rian and Cass have her, she’s fine. But you know what you can do?” I asked. He looked at me with a questioning look. “This.” I said before placing my lips onto his and pulling him closer in my arms for a deep, passionate kiss. It was finally official, I was going to get married to the best man in the world, and I couldn’t wait.
When we pulled away from the kiss, a slow song came on. I looked down at Alex and smiled. “Can I have this dance?” He giggled a bit and nodded his head. I took his hand in mine, leading him to the middle of the dance floor, which was really just the middle of the living room. I brought him close into my arms and put them around his waist, as he put his around my neck. “Y’know I love you, right?”
“Y’know you tell me that everyday, right?” He smirked at me, as other couples joined around the room to dance.
“I would tell you every second of the day if I could.” I placed my lips onto his for another kiss. I pulled away and stared into his eyes. “I love you and Miracle both, more than I will ever love anyone else in this whole world. You two are my world.” I whispered. He smiled at me and brought our lips together in another passionate kiss.
