I looked over Jack who stood beside my lined up balloons. He had a balloon with a question mark on it. At first, I didn't realize what he was asking; however, when it hit me, I gasped and covered my mouth. He did all this as a promposal! I couldn't believe that he did this for me! I began to cry like a little girl. I opened my arms wide to pull him into my arms. "Yes!" I wailed. "Of course I will go to Prom with you!" Jack squeezed me in his arms with chuckles.

"I am so glad you're going to come with me, baby. I am so glad." He kissed my head gently. I pulled away and admired his handsome face.

"You did all this for me? You did all this to ask me to prom?"

"I would have done more, trust me. But, I kinda had short time."

"I think this was enough, handsome." I kissed his lips gently. I cupped Jack's cheeks as we gave one another a passionate kiss. "Now," I sighed, "let's go lay by the shore and lay down." I took hold of his hands and walked over to the shore with Jack. We lied down together, my head on his chest while he pet my back. As we laid together, I began to sniffle a little. I was beginning to get emotional once more, but it wasn't in happiness. I was thinking very negatively -- specifically towards myself. Jack looked down with a frown.

"Alex, Lex, what's wrong?" he asked lightly. I looked up at him with puffy eyes; they were already puffy from my agreement to the Prom, but now, they were even puffier because of my crying.

"D-Do you think I am fat?" I whimpered. Jack let out a breath; I think he was waiting for this moment to when I would get to the 'I am fat' stage. He cupped my cheek.

"Alex, you're not fat. You're the most beautiful man I know. You're like an angel in my eyes. You're only big because you're carrying our beautiful little girl, and how big you are only shows that she is alright and very healthy." Jack laid me down on the shore. Was he really turning this into sex? Jack got on top of me, and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Jack, I-I don't want sex right now." He cocked up a brow.

"Who said I was going to have sex with you?" Jack pulled out from under my hold and went down to my stomach. I was beginning to breathe a bit heavily; didn't I tell you I was pretty sensitive lately? Jack pulled up my shirt to show off my swollen tummy. I hadn't been able to look at it happily lately. I guess it was because of me feeling so self conscious. Jack rubbed his hands all over my stomach. I could feel the baby kick against my stomach which made me giggle a little. Suddenly, Jack got all the way onto the ground beside me and laid down. His head rested against my stomach. My heart literally stopped.

Jack was massaging my gut slowly. I was watching him with my head cranked forward a bit. I ran my fingers through his hair. "Jack, baby, what're you doing?" He didn't answer me. In fact, he began talking to his daughter.

"Hey, you," Jack began in a whisper, "daddy is so sorry I haven't been with you lately. Things have been rough, but now, I'm here, and I promise not going anywhere. Your dad has been doing so much trying to carry you and handle my crazy butt. I know, though, that when you're born, I am not going to be able to keep my eyes off you. You're never going to leave my sight. You're going to be such a beautiful baby. I know you're going to look just like you're handsome daddy," Jack looked up at me with a smirk, "and she may look a little like you, too." I gasped and shoved him slightly at his playful insult.

Jack went back to my belly. He cupped my lower abdomen and continued talking to our daughter. "I already have a name for you, you know? And, I hope daddy likes it when he hears it." Jack rested his ear right against me. "Melody Autumn Gaskarth-Barakat." I hiccuped a sob. That name was so beautiful and creative; of course, I would want that name for my daughter.

"I love it, Jack." I whispered to him. I heard him laugh, and I could also hear the smile that was plastered all over his face.

"I love you, Alex," he whimpered. He then leaned down, placing a kiss against my stomach. The kiss caused the baby's foot to lift my stomach a little, as if the baby was kissing Jack back with her foot. I laughed through my tears along with Jack. "and I love you, Melody Autumn."

Jack and I went back to his place after our lake date. We laid in his bed while the movie What's Eating Gilbert Grape played. He had a blanket over us while a bowl of popcorn sat in the center of us. I was stuffing my mouth with fist fulls of popcorn while I cried and cried at the part of the movie where the mother passed away. Jack couldn't help but laugh at me; this pregnancy had made me super emotional. I think beat out mama in the emotion department, and that was pretty hard to do.

Once the movie was over, Jack shut off the TV and got out of bed. He walked over to the closet. I peeked up and frowned. "Baby, what are you doing?"

"Getting my shoes on. I got to take you home, remember?" Frowning, I shook my head.

"No, I'm... I'm staying here for the night. Please?" Jack looked at me with widened and surprised eyes.

"You want to stay?" I only responded with a quick nod. Jack threw his shoes to floor and hopped on to the bed. He smashed our lips together, and I moaned against his lips. He wrapped his arms around my neck to pull me closer. When he rubbed his hands down my curves, I spat out, unable to catch myself,

"Oh, fuck, marry me, Jack!" I covered my mouth in surprise and embarrassment. Shit, that wasn't supposed to come out. Jack pulled away slowly, looking at me with the widest of eyes and a tense face.

Fuck, what have I done?
