Meggie POV

Don't come Alex.
You don't belong to this dark side of this world.
You shouldn't have to spend the rest of your life running.
Please don't come.

Jacks POV

We got outside the building and I looked around.
"Follow me." I said quietly to Alex.
It was dark so i grabbed hold of his arm so he knew where to go.
We went tonthe back ofnthe building to the tunnels.
I stopped and looked around.
"You have to stay quiet. Noise will equal death." I whispered as we got to the tunnel.
"Zack let us in." I said to him as he was gate guarding duty.
"Who's the dagger?" He asked and nodded towards Alex.
"Never mind who he is just let me in." I growled and he moved out the way.
"If he runs I get to shoot him?" He asked seriously.
"Yes." I said and walked off.
"Wait you both where joking right?" He asked.
"Nope. We don't joke about things." I said.
I stopped and looked at him.
"Which is why you don't run. You don't speak unless you're asked to speak. Anything you see you do not tell anyone else okay?" I said covering the basic rules to him.
He nodded.
"Good." I smiled and we carried on walking.

We got to the meeting room and everyone stopped talking and looked at us.
Alex moved behind me a little since everyone had their guns and knifes on the table.
I saw Meggie and she looked like she was about to cry but held herself together and was probably saving it to shout at me later.
"You have him." Sir said and walked over to us.
I don't know why I felt like I had this need to protect him until he got his bearings with everyone and got some training.
"Yes I do." I said.
"Good." He smiled and walked back to the others.
I walked forward forgetting about Alex.
Meggie moved and went over to him and stood him next to me.
"You got him into this mess. You look after him." She hissed in my ear and walked off.

Alex looked at everything taking the information in.
He was looking at one bit of paper.
"Can I pick this up?" He asked and looked at the others.
"Yes you can." I said and he picked the paper up and sat on the floor and studied it.
After 10 minutes he came over and put the paper on the table.
We all looked at him.
"You fucked up on the camera side. There's 20 cameras round the place not 10. Also you have to think about how your gonna get them there as they do seaches on every single person that goes in. Do you know where the fire exits are?" He asked and looked at us.
We looked at him.
"Seriously? For a group that does what you do your fucking shit." I said and pulled the map towards him.
I looked up and saw Meggie was shocked about this.
I looked at Sir and Kyle and they had a sly look on their faces.
"All together there 5 fire escapes.." He said and looked for a pen which I handed him and he circled them. "Cameras are here here and here." He said and put a triangle round them so we knew what was what.
After he finished he looked at us.

"And you seriously couldn't tell them this Meg?" He questioned and looked at her hard.
We all looked at her.
"Yes Meg why couldn't you tell us?" Kyle said and walked over to her.
She stayed quiet.
I looked at Alex and something change in his face.
He worked Kyle out quicker than anyone else who was new to this.
"Don't touch her." He growled.
"Alex don't." I said.
"What was that dagger?" He snarled.
"My name is Alex. Call me that and not dagger since I've pretty saved all your asses on becoming the next lot of people to be having a visit from the hangman. And I said Do not touch her." He said and walked over and pulled Meggie behind him.
No one has ever stood up to Kyle before, part from me but i was allowed.
Kyle was going to say something but i stopped him.
"He'll make a good profiler." I said and they all looked at me.
"He worked you out very quickly Kyle. He knows more information about this place than any of us put together." I said but Alex interputed.
" It isnt hard work you know? You open your eyes and look. Do ypu know fucking anything?" He said sarcasiclly.
"Well the person who does that is blind then."Kyle said and looked at Meggie.
" Meggie my office now." Sir said.
She went off with Sir and Kyle following her.
Alex didn't like it but he already respected Sir, not Kyle though he can see straight through him.

He came back over and looked at everything.
"Question is how do we smuggle them in before the blow and get out." He muttered to himself.
I thought he was stupid when it came to these sort of things turns out he had more brains than all of us.
"Take a break." I said and touched his shoulder which made him jump. "Can't. Not when they have her in there doing something to her." He said quietly.
"Can I smoke in here?" He asked.
"No you cant and you can't go outside otherwise Zack will shoot you." I said.
"Fuck sake." He muttered and sat on the table.
"When you planning on doing it?" He asked.
"Rush hour." I said and looked at him.
He nodded in approval.
"Good." He said and looked at me.
"How long have you been a part of this?" He asked.
"Since i was 14." I said.
"Have you killed anyone?" He asked seriously.
"Yes." I said and looked at him.
"Guess that explains why shy Jack has gone." He said quietly.
I put my hand on his knee.
He looked at me and gave me a small smile.

"Dagger boy carry on with the information." Kyle said walking out of the office with Sir following but no Meggie.
"Alex!" He snapped. "And not until you tell me where Meggie is." He growled.
He was seriously going to get a beaten if he doesn't stop.
But Alex always did push everyone's buttons and he was good at it as well.
"No! You give us information." Kyle said and got up into Alex face.
He wasn't used to someone standing up to him unless it was me.
"No. What are you going to do about it? Beat me senseless? Kill me? Fucking knock yourself out." He growled.
Kyle got the nearest gun and pointed it to his head.
If this was me I would of backed down straight away but Alex didn't.
"Remember if you kill me you will all get caught and will be be dead in a matter of days." He said knowing this was true.
Kyle brought the gun away from Alex's head but punched him round the face which Alex took surprisingly well.
Alex hands went into a ball.
"Stop it the pair of you!" Sir said loudly.
Kyle backed down but Alex didn't.
I went over and pulled him back.
"Don't fucking think about it otherwise he will kill you." I whispered in his ear.
"She's in the office." Kyle said.
Alex shuggered me of him and went to the office.

"Well he seem to have the brains but his gop runs away with him." Kyle said and sat on the table.
"He just showing he's doesn't like to be walked all over. Especially taking Meggie like you did didn't help matters." I said.
Kyle was going to say something but Alex stormed out the office and grabbed a gun and held it to Kyles head.
"Damn how the tables have turned." Alex growled.
"You don't even know how use a gun." Kyle said.
Alex got the gun so all he had to do was pull the trigger and Kyle would be dead.
"Here's my rule number one. Don't underestimate me." He growled jabbed the gun into his chest hard and threw the gun across the table.
It landed in front of me.
He disappeared back to the office.
"Well he knows his way around a gun." Sir said thinking.
"Right the lot of you going home. Jack you make sure Alex and Meggie get back safe. Kyle you stay here I need to have words with you." He said.

I went to the office and Alex was on the floor cleaning Meggie up.
"He's gonna fucking pay for this." He growled.
"Alex, Kyle means every word he says." I said quietly.
"So do I Jack." He said and looked at me.
I walked further into the room and saw the Meggie had a black eye and a busted lip and she probably had brusies on her stomach and ribs.
"Come on let me take you both home." I said quietly.
Alex helped Meggie up who hissed in pain.
"Can you walk by yourself?" He asked.
Meggie nodded and walked out in front of me and Alex.
We got outside.
"Damn never got too shoot him." Zack said displeased.
"Maybe next time." Alex said.
We walked in silence most of the way.
"When did you learn how to load a gun?" I asked and looked at Alex who was watching Meggie's every movie.
"Just do." He said.

We got back to the beach.
"You can sleep with me tonight if you want." Alex said to Meggie.
She nodded and walked towards the house.
"How did you know all that information you gave eariler?" I asked.
"I'm an escape artist. Everywhere I go it my job to know where everything is." He said and looked at me.
"About Kyle I'm sorry." I said.
"Don't be. It wasn't your actions." He smiled.
"It'll do him good having someone other than me standing up to him." I said.
"Well he'll have the shock of his life then." Alex chuckled.
"I'm going to bed. I'll see you tomorrow." He said and went towards the house.
"Night Alex." I said quietly and went back home.

I got back home and Kyle was sat on the stairs waiting for me.
"Your friend has no respect." He said.
"He does but taking his sister away and beating her up is enough to make anyone pissed off now move out my way so I can go to bed." I said.
Kyle moved and I went upstairs and collapsed onto the mattress.
I didn't hear anything as I was out like a light.
