Meggie's POV

"The bomb planted?" He asked.
"Yes." Someone said.
I looked round the room and saw Jack and Kyle.
I hadn't seen Jack since he was the same age as Alex.
Jack had lost his shyness and was more out going than everyone else. Kyle was still a bastard as I remembered him to be.
But they did look a like.
Like me and Alex there was a year or so between them so they looked identical.
"Kyle!" The boss said and looked at Jack.
"I'm Jack sir." He said correcting him.
"Sorry, you two shouldn't stand close to each other." He said quietly to himself.
He looked at Kyle and said something to him I wasn't listening.
"We need to stay hidden. No going after anyone." He said and looked at me.
"I can't just let my little brother get killed." I said and looked at him hard.
He back handed me round the face.
"I don't care if he's your 'little brother' you are not going to go after him." He snarled.

We went off and waited in the darknes round the house.
Jack was stood next to me.
"Jack I need you to do something for me." I said quietly and pulled him away from the others.
"What's that?" He asked.
"If I go in and get Alex will you take him home for me?" I asked.
He thought about it.
"I know its a lot to ask of you but I can't stand here and watch him get blown up because of us. I know you know he's as innocent as the rest of them in that place but he doesn't need to pay for it like they do." I said quickly as we was running out of time.
"Jack he's your friend! You can't do this to him!" I said panicking.
"Fine I'll help you. But if Sir asks questions about it I'm taking you down with me." He snarled.
Christ he was a lot like Kyle but at the same time he was completely different from him.
"Do whatever you have to do Jack." I said and ran off and Jack went back to where he was meant to be.

I ran into the building.
Everyone was too drunk or high to notice me.
"Where the fucking hell are you Alex?" I muttered to myself.
I looked round and saw Alex by the bag.
"Shit no." I muttered and ran over to him.
I grabbed his arm.
Fucking hell Alex I told you not to come to this party.
"Alex we have to go." I said loudly.
"Why's there a bomb?" He asked confused and looked at me.
"I'll explain later but we have to go!" I said and tried to pull him away but he was being fucking stubborn about moving.
"Alexander move it for fuck sake." I said and gave him a really hard tug away from the bag.
"Are you able to run?" I asked and looked at him for the first time.
He wasn't stupid even when he was drunk he knew me better than I knew myself and could properly tell I was panicking.
He looked at me blankly.
"Your fucked aren't you?" I asked seriously.
He nodded.
Fuck sake Alex this is all I need.
"Don't tell mother or dad." He said quietly.
"If you don't fucking move it we won't live that long now move!" I said and dragged him out the house and away from the house.
"Alex look at me." I said and grabbed his face with both hands and moved some hair away from his eyes.
"Look at me." I said quickly and looked round I knew I was being watched.
He looked at me.
"You need to go home. Don't answer the door. Don't ask questions. Just keep your head down and go straight home." I said quickly.
"What about you?" He asked quietly.
I seriously didn't know the answer to this question.
"I'll be fine, I promise. Now go home. Don't look back okay. I'll see you tomorrow when you wake up." I said and kissed his forehead and ran of into the darkness.

I turned round and watched Alex.
"Go home Alex." I whispered quietly to myself.
Then the house blew up.
Alex jumped onto the ground.
"Alex." I said and went to move forward but someone hand went on my shoulder.
I looked to see who it was and it was Jack.
"Go otherwise they'll be asking questions." He said and looked at Alex.
"What about you?" I asked.
"I said I needed to be at home." He said.
Jack was the baby out of us and he got away with alot of stuff.
"Thank-you Jack." I said quietly and ran off and caught up with the others.

"I know what you was doing Meggie." Kyle said slyly.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Saving that waste of space of a bother of yours." He said.
I punched him hard in the face.
"Don't you DARE speak about him like that! I could say exactly the same about Jack!" I growled and kicked him hard.
"Don't you bring Jack into this." He growled.
"Then don't bring Alex into either!" I snarled and walked off.

Jacks POV

I went over to Alex quickly.
I looked at the damage. I knew there was doing to be a few deaths but nothing to serious as the bomb wasnt even that powerful.
This was just a practice test.
I grabbed Alexs arm.
"Get up Alex. We have to go now!" I said quickly.
"Whats happened?" He asked confused.
Cant really blame him on that thinki wpuld be confused as well if the house i was partying at was just to blow up.
"I cant say but we have to go before they find us." I said quickly and dragged him onto his feet.
Damn he was really light compared to the people ive been doing this to in training.
"Before who finds us?" He asked.
Christ why must he ask so many questions.
"It doesn't matter Alex just fucking move it." I said and dragged him of to the darkness just as the sound of sirens filled the air.

I took us though the back streets.
We was less likely to get caught. I still had hold of Alexs arm as I could afford to lose him as Meggie would just fucking kill me and the fact he probably didn't know this side as well as I do.
"Let go Jack your hurting me." Alex slurred and tried to push my hand of his arm.
"I'm not even holding you that tight." I muttered.
"Let me go." He said loudly.
I stopped and put my hand over his mouth.
"Shut the fuck up Alex. There are people here who you gladly kill you so just shut the fuck up!" I whispered shouted at him.
He looked at me and I could see some fear in his eyes.
I suppose he still thought I was that shy little boy who you had to force to speak. That little boy died a long time ago.
"Just be quiet okay. Not another word. Got it?" I asked.
He nodded and I slowly removed my hand from his mouth.
He didn't say anything not like some people.
We carried on until we got to the fence which lead to the beach on his property.

Alex did not look very impressed.
He snatched his arm out of my hold and turned round and looked at me hard.
If looks could kill I think o would be dead.
"What the fuck was that all about? Why was there a fucking bomb in that house!?" He asked quickly and loudly.
Yeah he was mad. He always did lose his temper quick and to be honest so do I now.
"I can't say Alex. They have me sworn to secrecy." I said quietly.
"Who? Who does Jack?" He asked and staggered over to me.
I couldn't laugh as this was serious.
"I'm not saying Alex. Go indoors and forget what has happened tonight. If you don't they'll be after you." I said as a warning and backed off into the darkness.

I watched him.
He stood there and thought about what has happened or whatever came to his head and he staggered of back to the house.
I kept my distance but followed him making sure nothing happened to him.
If I knew Alex house well as I thought I did and if he hasn't swapped rooms I could climb up something and get into his room.
I went round the house making sure I stayed in the cameras blind spots and climbed up the climbing rose thing which was going up the house.
Alex's room had a balcony so I climbed on that and stood in the darkness and waited for him to come into his room.
I didn't have to wait long before his light turned on and he staggered over to his bed turned his TV on and just flopped onto his bed.
I knew Alex didn't lock the door so I quietly opened it and walked over to the door and closed it quietly.
I went over to the bed and picked him up and put him under the covers and pulled the covers over him.
I watched for a minute or two and went off.

I was out of his property and was slowly walking home when I bumped into Meggie.
"Is he okay?" She asked.
"Passed out asleep." I said.
She chuckled.
"I'll be seeing you tomorrow Jack." She said and walked off.
"He'll want answers." I said with my back still to her.
"What?" She asked.
"He'll want answers he's not stupid Meggie. He knows something is wrong with you. That's what happens when your close to your siblings." I said and thought and me and Kyle.
I know I said I wasn't close to him, I'm not, not as close as Meggie and Alex but I was close to him.
"I know he does Jack. What was I meant to do? He had no one else to be close to." She said and walked off.
I guessed she didn't want to be close to him. But it was the case of having to be close to him I got home and mum and dad had gone to bed but Kyle was still up.
"I know you helped the Meggie girl." He said.
"You know as well as I do Alex was a friend and still is a friend." I said and went and got a drink.
"Friends gets you killed." He said.
"How do you know? You've never had a friend in your life!" I said and barged past him.
"Okay I give you that but don't get close to him Jack. He's trouble and you know it." He said.
"It's my choice who I do or don't get close to. Maybe he is trouble you and I both know I like the bad ones." I winked .
He knew what I meant as well.
"Now have you finished with your pet talk as I'm tried and actually want a good nights sleep." I said and walked out the room.
"Just don't get caught Jack. If you do then the hangman will be looking for you." Kyle said.
"Haven't been caught yet." I said and went upstairs.
"Give it time then you might be." He said sadly.
I scoffed and just collapsed onto my mattress which was my bed since Kyle had the bed in this room.
I heard Kyle come in and pulled my duvet over me.
"Night Jacky." He whispered and climbed into his bed and was fast asleep quicker than anything.
