Noughts and Crosses

Alex's POV

We walked to where Kyle was.
Like normal I had to wear a hoodie with the hood up while Jack just wore whatever he wanted and also on look put duty since I couldn't do that as I had to keep my eyes firmly to the ground.

"What fucking took youi so long!?" Kyle hissed.
"Call it traffic." I said and walked in the building with Kyle and Jack following.
"You don't get traffic when you walk!" Kyle said.
"You do when you're in the Noughts area and stuck behind old people now quit your fucking moaning." I said and followed Kyle up the stairs.
We walked into the room and saw loads of blood.
"Fucking hell Kyle what the fuck did you do!?" Jack said and looked at him.
I went and looked round the place while they have their tiff.
I heard something.
"Guys!" I said loudly and they came and had a look.
"What?" Kyle asked.
"There's someone in this room." I said quietly and got my gun.
Jack got his baseball bat at the ready and Kyle had a knife.
I opened the door and saw a child.
I looked at Kyle.
"What the fuck have you done?" I growled.
"I swear I didn't know the kid was in here. I thought it was just her." He said quickly.
"What the woman you have fucking beaten to death and left a kid without its mother fucking smooth one you fucking plank!" I said loudly and turned round and looked at the child.

I got down to it as level.
"You not going to hurt me are you?" She asked.
"No sweetie I'm not. Neither will these two." I said and turned round and glared at them.
"What's you name then?" I asked.
"Poppy." She said quietly.
"That's a pretty name, I'm Mike." I said giving her a false name even though she was only little.
"Tell me how old are you Poppy?" I asked again.
She held 3 fingers.
"You stay here while I go and talk to these two." I said and got up and walked to the nsitting room with Jack and Kyle following.
"You have left a fucking 3 year old without her mother. What the fucking hell where you thinking Kyle!" I whispered shouted.
"I didn't fucking know she had a kid. She worked me out so I had to kill her and its has to be the same for the kid." He said.
"Well that was sloppy of you. And you are not killing the kid that is one thing I draw the line too." I said.
"If you don't then I will." He growled and barged passed me and went to the kid.
"I can't stay in here not if he's going to kill her." I said and looked at Jack.
"You have to Alex. I'm sorry." He said and walked off to help Kyle.
I heard the kid scream then it stopped and then Jack and Kyle ran out.
"Alex run!" Jack said and grabbed my arm and we ran all the way home.

We got home and I ran straight upstairs and threw up.
I finished and walked out the bathroom and listened to what Kyle and Jack was saying.
"Why did you kill them?" Jack asked seriously.
"The mother worked me out I dunno how but she did and the child saw everything which happened." He said.
"So you took an innocent child's life because she saw what you did! Fucking hell Kyle she was 3 years old she can hardly remember what day of the fucking week it was!" Jack said loudly clearly pissed off.
"What are the fucking rules Kyle!? Never involve children and never fucking kill them! What the fucking hell is wrong with you!? Don't you have a heart or a soul!?" Jack questioned.
Kyle stayed quiet.
"No I fucking knew I didn't have one! That died when Lucy died along with the brother I had." Jack said and got up.
"Jack I'm still you brother.." Kyle started but was stopped by Jack.
"No! The Kyle I know wouldn't of killed an innocent fucking 3 year old! He would of been more careful and not go with someone who had kids! You would be heart broken by what you have just done! Especially after what happened!" He said.
"I told you not to bring that up!" Kyle said loudly.
"But its true Kyle! You would be like Alex, you would be crying your eyes out because of what happened to you. You can deny it as much as you want but its true." Jack said.
"Time and things changes people Jack. In my case it's for the better." He said. "Your wrong Kyle, in your case it got worse." Jack said quietly and I walked in.

I was lead down with my back to everyone trying to get what happened out of my head but it wasn't leaving.
"Alex I know..." Kyle said but I sat up and looked at him.
"No you fucking don't know Kyle! That kid was doing no harm to you. She just wanted her mum like a fucking normal 3 year old. You took that from her and then you took her life. Your more sick in the head than what I thought you was." I said and lead back down and Jack joined me.
"Why are you even so touchy about this? It wasn't even your kid." Kyle said.
"Kyle just fucking drop it." Jack growled.
"Why?" Kyle challenged.
"Just fucking drop the subject for once in your fucking life Kyle! Not everything needs an answer." Jack snapped.
Kyle got up and went out the room.
"Thanks." I said quietly.
"Just remember that i have ypou back." He said and kissed my back.
I slowly fell asleep hoping tonforget this day.
