Noughts and Crosses

Alex's POV

I knew I had a meeting with the Crosses but I knew mother was going out.
I listened out and as soon as the front door closed i pulled my hood up and went out to the darkness and followed her.
I kept my distance but made sure she was in my sight.
She got to where she needed to be.
I looked around the place.
He was a Nought by the look of things.
She looked around and I hid more in the darkness.
My phone started to go off.
I answered it. "Not now." I muttered and looked.
"Where the fucking hell are you?" Jack asked loudly.
"Following a lead. I'll be there in half an hour." I said quietly.
"Better make it 20 Alex." He growled.
"Fine." I said and hung up.
I looked at mother.
She was with her new man friend and I took loads of pictures.
I walked passed and took a closer picture of the two.
After that I had to run to the meeting.

I got there and everyone looked at me
" you're late." Kyle said.
"I was following a lead. A personal matter." I said.
"And that gives you the right to be late?" He asked.
"If it too bring my old man down then yes it might give me the right to be late." I said back.
Kyle didn't like that answer. He still thinks I'll back down to him but he has another thing coming.
"Yes my sister is okay thanks for asking by the way since you pretty much put her in the hospital." I growled.
Kyle just glared at me.
"What do you want? I could be following my lead and finding a way to bring them down instead of being here." I saidsaid.
"Can you hack into computers?" Jack asked.
"I might be a genius but sadly my talent isn't that good." I said.
"So that's a no?" Kyle asked.
I sarcastically clapped.
"Well done dumb dumb." I said.
That annoyed the shit out of him.
"But depending on what it is I could have a go." I said.
"Try hacking into this." Kyle said and shoved a laptop towards me.
"What you after?" I asked and looked at him.
"Information about a Cross who is working for both Noughts and Crosses." He said.
"Do you have a name? If so I probably be able to help with that. There's always a plus side to being a politicatial leaders kid." I said.
"His name is Rian Dawson." Kyle said.
I looked down and thought about every name I know.
"Hurry up!" Kyle snapped.
"My brain is full of names. I'm sorry if that name is not in the top of my head. Give me a few seconds." I said and went back to thinking.
I clapped my hands which made everyone jump.
"Bit jumpy aren't we?" I asked smirking.
They all looked at me with their guns pointing towards me.
"His name does ring a bell. But I can't remember much about him as the last time I've seen him was when I was like 10 or something. But I think he's still in contact with my old man and they have serect meetings somewhere." I said.
Kyle stood there thinking about something.
"Jack Alex I'm trusting you two to find information and carry out a stake out when you get that part of the information. Alex you carry on whatever you doing before you came here." He said and looked at us.
"As you wish." I said.

They where talking about something but I was zoned out looking at this plan they had and thinking about mother and that new man.
There was a picture of a woman and a man.
I got my phone out and got the clearest photo up and studied it and compared it to the photo on the board thing.
I took the picture off and went out the room and sat by the cells that where in the tunnel and proper looked at the photos.
I heard someone walk into the room.
I pointed my gun at them and looked up.
"Don't shoot." Jack said quietly.
I put my gun down next to me and went back to looking at the pictures.
"Your mother and her mystery man." Jack said.
"Yeah. Who took this photo?" I asked and handed him the picture.
"Um, Eddie I think." He said and looked at the picture.
I took the picture of him and walked out the room into where everyone else was.
"Which on of you is Eddie?" I asked.
Part from Sir,Kyle and Jack I couldn't tell the difference from the others as they where all black and looked the same.
Someone walked forward.
"Did you take this picture?" I asked and they nodded.
"Speak." I said.
He was probably higher in the ranks than me but everyone respected me just as much as they respected Kyle and Sir.
"Yes I took the picture." He said.
"Where?" I asked.
"In some posh Nought street. No offense." He said.
"No taken." I said and thought about it.
"Did you get the name of the street?" I asked and looked at him.
"No I didn't. But they went into a super posh hotel. It was proper fancy and everything. The man must be proper rich or something because none of us can afford it." He said.
I pulled and face and started to think.
"Would you say he looked like someone who is in politics?" I asked.
Eddie thought about it.
"No. He looked a really well of Cross for some reason." He said.
I only heard one word in that whole sentence.
Cross.
"Did you say Cross?" I asked shocked that she would go for a Cross.
"Yeah. Why? Why are you so interested in this?" Kyle asked and walked over to me and stood right in front of me.
"Because its helping in my lead that's why." I said.
Kyle looked at me funny.
"It will destroy them. It will destroy everything. Trust me, just let me follow my leads and let me plan everything out then I'll fill everyone in with the details." I said and turned round.
"We need to know now Alex." He said.
I took a deep breath and looked at him.
"No. This is something I have to do alone considering I share a house with them. You have to trust me on this Kyle. The end result with all of this will literally be a new start for Noughts and Crosses. But your gonna have to take the gamble and trust me." I said.
"Trust a dagger. I might as well be shot on the spot." He snarled.
I got my gun and pointed it towards him.
"You either trust me or you can spend years trying to get information to bring him down because you was too stupid too use your resources that are right in front of you." I said.
"If you fuck up?" He asked.
I turned around and walked away.
"I won't. I want to destroy them just as much as you do." I said loudly so he could hear me.
With that I walked out and went home.

Jacks POV

Alex walked out and was probably going home so I'll catch up with him later.
Kyle looked at me hard.
"Do you know what he's planning?" He asked.
"No. This is one thing he's keeping away from me." I said.
He looked at me.
"We're having words when we get home." He said quietly and poked my neck hard.
"Your a fucking slut Jack." He whispered and went back to whatever he was doing.
If only he knew.

Everyone left and me and Kyle where going home.
He spun round and hand me pinned up against the wall.
"Where were you last night?" He growled.
"Fucking some guy." I growled back.
"Fucking Alex?" He asked.
"No. Some stranger who was fucking shit if you really wanted to know." I said.
Kyle seemed to of backed of from that.
"Why was he so interested in that photo?" He asked and let me go and we walked home.
"I don't know. I don't know what's going on in his head or life. I don't want to know either Kyle. All I can tell you is that he hasn't got it easy. He means what he said about destroying them. He doesn't care who's going down with him either." I said and stopped.
Kyle stopped as well.
"I do know he will not take us with him. He hates them just as much as we do." I said and walked off.
"Where you going?" Kyle asked.
"I dunno." I muttered but I knew exactly where I was going.

I got to Alex's and climbed up the drain pipe as I was fed up with being attacked by the roses.
His door was shut which wasn't normal.
I looked in and saw him pacing the room looking like he was talking to himself.
I watched him a little longer until he calmed down and sat on the bed before I knocked on door.
I knocked on the door quietly and Alex looked up and saw me and smiled as he got up and walked over and unlocked the door.
"Was wondering if you was going to show up tonight." He said.
"Why wouldn't I?" I asked.
"Dunno. I'm just pushing everyone away at the moment." He said quietly.
I put my hand on his cheek and rested it against it and he looked at me.
"I'll keep on coming back." I whispered and kissed him.
I felt him smile and he wrapped his arms round my neck and pulled me closer to him.
We both pulled back and Alex just rested his head against my shoulder.
I put my arms round his waist and pulled him closer to me and just held him.

We had moved to the bed and Alex was leaning against me.
He was deep in thought and was muttering to himself but I couldn't hear him.
Alex was falling asleep.
"Lie down." I said quietly.
"But your comfy." He muttered but moved.
"I need to go home otherwise mum will be asking questions." I said and got of the bed.
"Stay." He said and looked at me.
"I can't. Sorry. I'll see you tommorow." I said and kissed the top of his head and left.

I got home and everyone was in bed and I quietly went upstairs.
I got to my room and and collapsed on my mattress.
"So you do remember where your home is then." Kyle muttered.
"Have lived here all my life so yeah I do know where my home is." I said and rolled over so my back was too him.
"Whatever." He muttered and went back to sleep.
I couldn't sleep as Alex was on my mind.
Friends with benefits was the best we could do in this time.
Saying we loved each other would lead to a game of cat and mouse with the hang man.
Whatever Alex had planned I hoped it changed for the better.
