Noughts and Crosses

Alex's POV

It's been a month since I've been stalking them and getting as much information I could on them.
So far I wasn't getting very much.
Mother been going out more meeting her Nergo lover while dad has also been going out more.
This meant I was home alone most of the time.
Meggie was home but I never saw her anymore, she just hides away in her room.

I was sat in the kitchen thinking and trying to do some school work when dad walked in.
"... I don't care Rian. We have to find where they're hiding. Even if it means you become them. We need to know what they are planning and thinking." He said.
Shit this wasn't good.
"We'll talk more about this in our usual place." He said.
I didn't know what Rians response was.
"Okay maybe not there then. How about the Silver hotel?" He asked and looked at me.
I looked down making it look like I was doing school work.
"Okay I'll see you at 9 then." He said and hung up.
"Do you know where your mother is Alexander?" He asked.
Yes I do but I wasn't going to say.
"I dunno where the bitch is." I said and got up and left the room.

I went to my room and got hold of my phone.
I rung Jacks number.
"What?" Jack muttered sounding like I just woke him up.
"We have a problem. And I have a lead, so you know what this means." I said quietly.
"Alex its 11 in the morning, what the fuck do you Noughts do to be up at this time of the morning?" He said.
"I don't care what time it is this is a emergency Jack unless you all want your arse on the hangman's lose." I said.
"Kyle get up, its an emergency." Jack said.
I couldn't here what he said but I'm guessing he was up.
"Kyle seriously wake up we could have a problem on our hands." Jack said.
"Fuck off you foul little weasel!" He said loudly.
I couldn't help but chuckle.
"If you end up dead don't blame me." Jack growled.
"Um Jack I'm still here by the way." I said as I didn't really want to hear them to aruging.
"I know you are." Jack snapped.
"Don't fucking snap at me!" I growled at him.
"I'll do whatever I want to do with you." He growled back.
"Whatever, meet me at the tunnels in half an hour." I said and hung up before he could say another word.

I got dressed and went out.
I met Jack and Kyle outside the tunnels.
"What's your reason to waking me up." Kyle growled.
"I'm not talking until we get inside." I said and looked around.
We went inside.
"Open that fucking mouth of yours before I blow your face off." Kyle snarled.
"He normally this grumpy when he wakes up?" I asked and looked at Jack.
"Yes just spill the beans Alex." Jack said sounding pissed off.
"That Rian dude." I said and looked at them.
"What about him." Jack asked.
"My old man wants to rat us out and he's gonna send Rian into here and tell every bit of information to my old man. We all are gonna be fucked." I said.
Kyle looked at me.
"You know this because?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes.
"I've told you a hundred times now. My father is a political leader for Noughts. He walks around the house talking about his business or he's in his office. Since I'm always in trouble I look through his files or listen in conversations he is having ." I said.
"Also Jack we're going on a stake out." I said and looked at Jack.
He groaned.
"I could do it by myself if you want me too." I growled.
He just looked at me hard.
"It's too early for this shit." Jack said and turned round and walked off.
"Meet me at our normal place at 7. Make sure you don't stand out as much as you do now." I said.
"I don't stand out." He said and looked at me.
"Really? I only know one person with a big blonde patch in their hair and that person is you." I said.
Jack just scoffed.
"Wear this when we meet." I said and threw one of my beanies to him.
"Sure." He mutter and pulled it on and walked off.

Kyle looked at me.
"I know you two are fuck buddies." He said.
How the fuck did he know.
"No we're not." I said.
"Don't lie to me Alex." He said.
"What if I am? What you gonna do about it?" I asked.
" I know you are. I know you're gay Alex. But I'm willing to keep it a secret as you have proved yourself here and the fact Jack really likes you." He said.
I was shocked what came out of his mouth.
"Look, your valuable to us. If we lost you we are fucked good a proper. I am also looking out for my little brother. If you hurt him there's a bullet with your name on it." He said seriously and left.
Hm. This is gonna be interesting when I tell Jack.

I got changed into dark clothing and went down to the beach.
I got down there and Jack was waiting.
"Late." He said quietly.
"Look I have to keep an eye out as well you know." I said and we climbed over the fence and went off.
I had my hood up and Jack was wearing my beanie.
"Your darling brother knows what we are." I said quietly.
Jack looked at me.
"How the fuck did he work that out? I didn't even tell him." He said looking round the place as he was unsure about it.
"We need to cross." I said and grabbed his arm and dance around the traffic.
"Your fucking mental." Jack said and looked at me.
"A day with me is never boring." I muttered and looked at the building.
"Go round the back, up the fire exit. If I know my father he'll be on the third floor room facing this way." I said and looked at Jack.
"I have to climb the stairs?" He asked.
I moved closer to him.
"Your the Cross out of us. People round here aren't stupid and know Crosses from Noughts. You go up the fire exit and wait there until I open the door. Stay in the darkness and don't get caught." I said and quietly and went indoors.

I got the room and let Jack in.
"Took your fucking time." He said.
"Shut the fuck up will you." I muttered and pushed him into the room.
I shut the door and Jack just looked at me.
"Is this going to go anywhere?" He asked and rested his hands on my hips and pulled me closer to him.
I reached up and brushed my lips against his.
"Maybe. Maybe not." I said quietly.
"Make that a maybe." He said and kissed me hard.
"Okay. But after we've done this. We may not get another chance." i said and pulled away.
But Jack just pulled me even closer to him.
"Jack we have to do this." I said but Jack kissed me hard.

Things where getting heated.
"Not yet." I whispered and pulled back.
"But I can't wait." Jack muttered.
"But you have to. Then you can do whatever you want with me." I said quietly and kissed him and walked off over to the window.
I sat down and watched.
Jack sat behind me and started to kiss my neck.
I moved my head to the side so he could get to my neck better.
"Stop Jack." I muttered.
Then a light came on in the hotel.
I sat up quickly which made Jack get of me.
"Pass me the thinging." I said.
Jack gave me pack of condoms.
"Nice to see you come prepared but I don't need these yet." I smirked.
Jack took them out my hands and gave me what I really wanted.

I sat there and watched my old man and Rian.
He went over and him kissed him.
"Well... I did not expect that." I said.
"Expect what?" Jack asked and took the binoculars of me and looked.
"Now what's was one them annoying rules we have to follow?" Jack asked and looked at me.
"No homosexuals." I said quietly.
I took the binoculars off Jack and looked more at them.
They had each others tops off and it was getting heated.
"Can't even watch any more of this." I said and threw them at Jack gently and walked away from the window.
Jack took pictures as I sat on the bed.

This was more fucked up that what I had in mind.
It was also going to be hard work.
"Fuck sake." I muttered and flopped back onto the bed.
"What's up?" Jack asked and walked over and sat on me.
"This is gonna be harder than what I first thought." I said.
"I'll help you." Jack said and kissed me.
"How? I can't think of any plan on how this could work." I said and ran my finger up and down his back.
"Let me help you. You don't have to do this alone." He whispered and looked me in the eye.
I thought about it.
"Stop thinking so much. I can hear your brain ticking over here." Jack chuckled.
I sat up and kissed him hard.
"If he's breaking the rules then so are we." Jack said quietly and pulled my top of me.
"I don't give a shit about the rules. I've broken them all." I said and undone the buttons on Jacks shirt and pushed it of him.
"Well everyone is meant to look up to your family." He said bitterly.
I stopped and sat up and pushed him of me and got of the bed and pulled my top back on and went and sat on the chair by the window.
"Alex I didn't mean it like that." He said.
"Yeah you did." I said sadly.
I got really annoyed because of that and I was ready to snap.
So like normal I did.
"You have no fucking clue what it's like to be me Jack. You think being a Cross is hard? Try being me for one day. The abuse I get, the fact everywhere I go I have people saying that I'm that scums kid. Does your parents love you Jack?" I asked and turned round and looked at him hard.
Jack nodded and looked at me confused.
"Mine don't. Their love is politics and not their kids. Unless your Meggie and then your perfect. Unless you spend a day in my shoes I suggest you shut the fucking hell up !" I said loudly.
"Abuse?" Jack asked quietly.
"Don't act like you care!" I snapped and turned around and looked at what was going on.

Jack took the binoculars away from me and sat in front of me.
"Move Jack." I growled.
"No. I'm calling this off Alex. We got information we need your not in the right frame of mind to do this. You need to go home." He said quietly.
"That shithole isn't my home." I snapped and got up and started to pace.
Jack got up and grabbed my arms and stood in front of me.
"Then come home with me then." Jack said quietly.
I looked at him shocked.
"Why?" I asked quietly.
"Because your not happy. And I know someone who would like to see you as well." He smiled.
"I haven't been happy for a awhile Jack." I said quietly and packed the bag back up.
"You put my hoodie on and wear the hood up. I'll meet you downstairs. Go by the fire exit I'll join you in a second." I said and put the beanie on and Jack walked out and pulled the hood up.
I looked round and made sure everything was picked up and met Jack in the alleyway.

"You have to keep your head down. Take this and put the hood up." He said and took the hoodie of and gave it to my and I put the hood up.
"When we get there you have to ignore Kyle. Maybe dad as well but don't take any notice of them." He said and looked around.
We got to this really small looking house and Jack went in.
I stood at the door awkwardly.
Jack came over to me and dragged me into the house...
