Kaitlin

Today I was going to my best friends concert. We have been best friends since basically when we were both in dippers. Alex has been on tour for about three months, and today was the last day of the tour. He was finally going to come back home and play his last concert here at the place we grew up. Baltimore, Maryland. Alex and I currently lived together in a apartment, we planned that to happen since we were about the age of fifteen.
I had just pulled up outside the venue, and sent Alex a quick text to let him know I was here.

To: Lex
Hey Lexy-boy. I'm out front. Come get me you whore.

I waited for about thirty seconds before getting a reply.

From: Lex
Alright, on my way out to get you my lil' slut.

I giggled at him text and walked over to the line of people, but skipped everyone and waited in the front, as I got glared at by every fangirl behind me. I waited a total of three minutes till I finally saw the door open, and out popped Alex. He spotted me and smiled at me, as he walked over to me and picked me up and spun me around in a hug. There was also millions of screams behind us so we had to hurry inside before Alex got tackled by one of the many fangirls standing behind me. We walked into the venue and made our way to the dressing room that all four of the boys were using.

"It's been forever since we seen each other, Kate!" Alex said with a excited tone.

"It's only been three months Lexy." I laughed.

"Yes! I know! But three months without my best friend feels like forever! I have missed you so much!" He spoke as he brought me into another hug. "How are you and your girlfriend, Maya, doing?"

"We are doing great! We had a date last night and it went perfect. She's so perfect Alex, you don't understand." I said as I gushed about the girl with dark-green, and long hair. Maya and I have only been together for about one month, but I feel like I have found the one.

"That's great! I can't wait to finally meet her! Have you been keeping my dogs well fed?"

"Of course! I love Peyton and Baz just as much as you do!"

"I know. I know. Just making sure my kids are doing well." He laughed as we took seats next to each other on the couch in the dressing room.
We continued to talk and catch up with each other for about another ten minutes, till I saw the bathroom door open, and out walked Jack. He looked over at the couch and smiled when his eyes met mine.

"Hey Kate!" He spoke as he walked over and gave me a little hug as I was still on the couch. "My girlfriend on her way yet?"

"Yep. Bree just texted me and told me that she will be here in about five minutes, you should go to the door and wait for her." I replied to him. Bree's real name was Breanna, Bree is just her nickname. Bree, Alex, Jack, Rian, Zack, and I all grew up together. Jack and Bree have been together since we were teenagers, they were practically made for each other. They are both the trouble makers of our little group.

"I will go do that right now!" He said with a huge smile. "Oh, by the way Lex. I was texted by Matt, and he told me to tell you that he needs you side stage so that he can get your wiring set up and shit."

"You mean my in-ears, Jack?" Alex asked with a chuckle.

"Yeah. Whatever it's fucking called. Anyways, I'm going to go and wait on my girlfriend. Meet you guys in a few minutes." Jack said before leaving the dressing room and leaving Alex and I in the room alone.

"Well, let's go. I have to go get ready for this kick ass concert." Alex said as he got up from his seat and held out his hand to help me up, which I gladly accepted.
We walked out of the dressing room together and made our way to the side of the stage, where we were met with Zack, Rian, and Matt, who is All Time Low's tour manager.

"Hey Kate." Rian said as he gave me a quick hug.

"Hey Ri." I said smiling as I returned the hug.

"Kate!" Zack said holding open his arms. I laughed and walked over to him as I gave him a quick hug as well.

"Hey Zacky." I laughed. I turned around and saw Matt helping Alex get set up to go on stage and perform, and I quote, his kick ass concert. I walked back to his side and sent him a smile, which he gladly returned. I heard the sounds of laughter and running feet, and I looked over and saw Jack and Breanna running over to us. They both hid behind Zack and Rian and tried hard to keep their laughter in. "Okay, what did you idiots do this time?"

"Jack and I may have messed with the security guards a little bit." Bree giggled as she took Jack's hand and walked over to us.

"And by a little bit, we mean a lot." Jack laughed.

"You guys are are stupidly dangerous when put together." Alex sighed.

"Didn't we figure this out back when we were kids?" I asked. He nodded his head, as well as Rian and Zack did. Bree and Jack looked at each other and just laughed before Jack bent down and placed a little kiss on her nose.

"Okay boys. Time to hit the stage!" Matt said as the boys were handed their instruments. Their starting video just ended and Jack, Zack, and Rian ran on stage. Before I knew what was happening, Alex picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and ran on stage with me.

"Lex! Put me down! You know I hate being on stage!" I spoke as I tried to get out of his grip. He finally stopped running and I noticed we were in the middle of the stage, right in front of his microphone. He set me down and put a arm around my shoulder.

"Everyone! I want you to meet my best friend, Kaitlin! She has been my best friend for basically my whole fucking life. You all know so much about me, and I thought it was finally time to let you guys meet my favorite person in the world!" He said to the crowd, as they cheered.

"Hey! I thought I was your favorite person in the world!" Jack complained into his own microphone.

"We both know that that's not true. Besides! I'm not even your favorite person in the world! That's Breanna!" Alex replied to Jack.

"That's true. She's way more awesome than you ever will be." Jack said with a laugh. I looked back at the crowd and quickly hid my face in my best friends red leather jacket he was wearing.

"Okay, so Kaitlin might be a little shy. But I love her anyways." He laughed. "Okay Kate, I know you want to get off stage now, so go ahead." When the words left his mouth I quickly ran off the stage and ran side stage with Breanna who was laughing at some goofy faces Jack was making at her from his spot on stage. "This first song is called Return the favor! And it goes out to Kaitlin, because I know it's her favorite."

I watched as they played their show, and Breanna and I rocked out together. Once they finished their third song, Alex looked over and sent me a smile. Yeah, he was a pretty good best friend. It's a thing, I guess.

I wrote this for my best friend Kaitlin, who I am currently Skyping with right now.
We don't get to talk much anymore since I moved, and it's always nice to be able to talk with her.
I recently got her into All Time Low, and her current favorite song by them is in fact Return The Favor.
