I had just got off my flight from the UK, all the way over here to America. I was here to see my best and oldest friend, Alex. It has been years since we seen each other and I was ready to have some good old best friend moments. Speaking of Alex, I was currently talking to him on the phone, as I dragged my luggage behind me, through the airport.

“Well, maybe if you turned around, you would be able to see me.” I said to him over the phone held to my ear. I placed a smirk on my cheek as he turned around quickly and his eyes went wide. I laughed and hunu up the phone as I saw he was starting to run over to me.

“Abbie!” He shouted as he ran to me.

“Alex!” I shouted back as I just walked his way. When we finally got to each other, he picked me up and spun me around in a hug. “Lexy! I have missed you so much!” He put me down after a few minutes and smiled his big goofy smile.

“I have missed you, too! This is amazing! I can’t believe you are really here! You are here right?” He rushed out as he put his hand on my face. I giggled and swatted his hand off of me and spoke.

“Yes, I’m here you idiot. Now, let’s go get that ice cream you promised me when I was on the plane.”

“Right this way, my dear other half.” He said as he bowed a bit and grabbed my suitcase and we started walking.

“That was the stupidest thing you have ever done.”

“I don’t know about that. Remember when you made me sneak out with you to go to that party?”

“Yep. And don’t act like you didn’t enjoy the party. It was amazing!”

“Yes, it was so amazing, that my parents didn’t find me sneaking out and give me two months of grounding.” He said sarcastically.

“Oh shut up Gaskarth. You had the best time of your life at that party. Oh, and let’s not forget that, that was the night you lost your virginity.” I smirked.

“It was a drunken mistake! You told me that if I was drunk, you would look out for me!”

“And I did! Till I got distracted by this really hot skater dude.”

“I still don’t know why we are best friends.” He chuckled. By the time we finished our conversation, we were at the ice cream shop, and just got out of the car. “So, what do you want?”

“Anything works.”

“Two chocolate cones, please.” He said to the lady at the stand, and handed her a five dollar bill. She nodded her head and walked away to get our orders. He turned back around and looked at me with a grin.

“The bloody hell you lookin’ at?”

“To be honest, I really don’t know what I’m looking at. I think it’s a undiscovered creature of some sort.”

“You fucking ballock!”

“Hoe.”

“Twat.”

“Bitch.”

“Cunt.”

“Here is your order, sir.” The lady said awkwardly as she came back with our ice cream. I tried my best to hold back my laughter as Alex blushed a deep shade of red and took the cones from her, handing one to me and we walked over to a outside table, and sat down. Once we looked over at each other, we cracked up laughing.

“That was so fucking embarrassing!” Alex complained as he still laughed.

“But funny as hell!”

“Yes, yes it was.”

“Holy shit this ice cream is good.”

“Only the best here in Baltimore!” He said with a huge smile.

“It’s so surreal. I’m actually in Baltimore! With my best friend, who just so happens to be the singer in the best band in the world!”

“Hey, we’re not that good.”

“Shut up. You guys are amazing.”

“No, you’re amazing. And I’m glad you are here. Eleven years is too long not seeing my best friend. Thanks for coming, I love you.”

“Awe Lex! I’m glad I came, I missed you too much not to come. Oh, and I love you, too.” I smiled at him. We continued to talk for a little bit longer, then we made our way back to his car and started the trip to his house. I was glad to finally be back in the precense of my best friend. I missed him so much. I just can’t wait to tell him about how I found a place here in Baltimore, and I will be officially moving here to America within the next month.
