“Oh,” Alex says as he looks down at the ground. “I didn’t know that he liked a guy. Sorry about calling you a liar.”
“It’s ok,” Devon tells him. “Before Jack told me not to tell anyone. I guess that he’s still afraid too.”
“Do you know why he’s afraid to tell anyone? Before I left, he had me promise not to judge him. I have no idea why he would not tell me. We’ve been friends for years. He should know that I would never judge him because he’s bi.”
“Yeah, but sometimes that little voice in your head tells you otherwise.”
“I guess that makes sense.” There is a pause. Daren almost wants to start talking to Alex since he is Alex Gaskarth, but he’s not sure if they are done talking. Luckily, he makes the right choice and keeps quiet for a little longer. “So, Jack likes you... and you like Jack.”
“Yeah, I’ve been denying him this whole time. I made the excuse that I only let him over because my brother looks up to him so much.”
Alex laughs. “I don’t think that that is such a good idea.”
“Actually, you would be surprised.”
“Maybe there are a lot of things that I don’t know about Jack. I guess that that does make sense. Jack can act his age when he wants to. He just doesn’t like to do it all the time.”
“I used to be the same way. That’s one of the reasons why I was afraid to be with him. I was afraid that everything would go back to the way that they are and my heart would be broken again.”
“Well, I know Jack, so I know that if he cares about you, he wouldn’t break your heart.”
“I know. It’s just fear. I really need to learn to actually face them. So... can I see him? I really need to apologize to him. I treated him like crap, and I want to make it up to him.”
“That shouldn’t take much. he was so upset because he thought that he ruined his chance with you. You giving him another one should get him out of that.”
“Yeah, but I want to do something for him. I don’t know what it is yet, but I really need to make it up to him.”
“You should kiss him!” Daren exclaims.
Devon chuckles. “I was already planning on doing that. I want to do something special for him. I do know one thing. Call him and tell him something like I wouldn’t talk to you, and you’re coming over. I’ll come with you and surprise him.”
“That’s not a bad idea. I don’t know how he’ll take it, but I think that he’ll still like it if you’re going to kiss him. I’ll call him.” Alex takes his phone out of his pocket and dials Jack’s number.
“Hello,” Jack says. “Let me guess, he wouldn’t talk to you.”
“Yeah. I’m going to come back over to make sure that you’re ok. We can have a movie night. You can watch any movie that you want. Just please get out of bed.”
“Ok. You’re not mad that I didn’t tell you that he was a guy, right?”
“No, I’m not mad. I promised that I wouldn’t judge you. I’m just surprised. I never thought that you’d go after someone without boobs. Anyway, I’m coming back now. I’ll see you when I get there.”
“See you.” Alex hangs up the phone. “Well, we better go now.”
“Devon,” Daren whispers to his brother. “I have an idea for what you can do. Get down here.” Devon leans down and lets his brother whisper in his ear.
“Yeah but-”
“It will be fine. Just think of how happy he’s going to be.”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m positive.”
“Alright.”
Devon gets back up and walks with his younger brother and Alex to Alex’s car. Once inside, the taller of the three starts up his car and starts driving towards Jack’s place. When they finally get there, the get out of the car and head up to Jack’s door. Alex opens the door and looks to make sure that Jack’s not in view. When he hears him in the kitchen, he allows Devon and Daren to follow him. They stop and stay hidden behind a wall before they reach the kitchen. Alex goes in first.
“Hey Jack,” he says with a small smile. “I’m really sorry.”
“It’s ok,” Jack says when he wipes his eyes. “It’s not your fault that i’m a loser.”
“You're not a loser.”
“Yes, I am.”
Jack walks out of the opening, and Devon takes this as his chance. He grabs Jack’s wrist, turns him around to face him and down to his level before smashing his lips onto the lips of the Lebanese man. His puppy dog eyes are wide from shock, but as soon as he knows that it’s Devon, he closes his eyes and kisses back. It’s even better than the last time before the shorter man pushed him away. In fact, this may just be the best kiss that Jack has ever had. Daren starts to cheer while Alex smiles at the two. Of course, they start to get grossed out when the kiss becomes more heated. They pull away when they hear Daren exclaim how gross making out is. Devon chuckles and looks at his brother. When he turns back to Jack, he sees that the taller man is just staring at him. Devon smiles. The fingers that are around Jack’s wrist hold Jack’s hand gently.
“I don’t understand,” Jack quietly says. “I thought that you hated me.”
“I could never hate you,” Devon says as as he runs his thumb across Jack’s hand. “I was just afraid that I was going to be hurt again. I thought that something would happen, and you would be taken away from me too. I thought that it would be better to just save myself the heartache. I tried to make myself think that I didn’t need you, but I was just lying to myself, and I don’t want to see you hurt. I really like you Jack.”
“I really like you too.” A tear falls down Jack’s face which he wipes away with his free hand.
“I’m sorry for pushing you away and treating you like crap. Will you forgive me?”
“Of course.”
“Ok, I have one more question for you before I tell you what your surprise is.”
“Surprise?”
“Yep, but first, will you be my boyfriend?”
More liquid streams down Jack’s face. “Yes. How could I say no? I’ve been waiting for you to warm up to me so I could ask.” Jack laughs softly. “I never thought that you would ask me. Hell, I never thought that we would get together because of the way that you shoved me away. That doesn’t matter though because you did ask. Of course, I’ll be your boyfriend.”
“Ok, the next part is your surprise.”
“If you got me something, you didn’t need to. All I really need if you.”
“Aw. Don’t worry. I didn’t get you anything, but Daren said it was ok, so I’m going to go with you.”
“What?”
“I’m coming with you on our tour.”

Sorry this took so long. I'm going to start putting my writing on a schedule. I'm going to try to update this story every Tuesday, and I'm going to actually try. I started it on Sunday, and so far so good.
Yay! Jack and Devon are finally together. Took them long enough. Sorry that this chapter is mostly dialogue and cheesy. I love cheesy stuff, so... yeah.
I don't think that it will be that much longer before Jack finds out what happened to his boyfriend (finally). I think I'm going to give it another two or three chapters before Devon has to tell him.
