Lost.

Alex’s POV

One Month Later.

It has been a over a month since I first brought Sara back home, and everything has been going perfectly. Well, everything since that one night when Miles came over and tried to start something, but he was arrested on the spot, and has been in jail ever since. Sara has slowly started going back to her normal self. She doesn’t wear a sweater everywhere anymore, and when she doesn’t when we go out, yes she does get stared at, but I always put a stop to it. We haven’t heard a thing about Brydon since the night of Miles, so that was always a good thing. But Sara and I always got the feeling someone was watching us. But we always just shrug it off.

“Hey babe.” Sara said as she walked into the bathroom and put her arms around my waist and hugged me from behind. Also, she has finally started talking in her normal cheery voice again, which made me even happier.

“Hey beautiful.” I said as I turned around and pecked her lips.

“Whatcha doing?” She asked with a smile that lights up my heart.

“I was just about to go outside to take Baz and Peyton for a walk, wanna come?”

“Sure!” She said as she skipped out of the bathroom to go get ready. I shook my head and chuckled, she was just too damn cute. I finished up my hair in the bathroom mirror and went into the living room, to see Sara was sitting on the couch, with Peyton and Baz both next to her.

“Ready?” I asked, already knowing the answer. I watched as Sara jumped up quickly, being followed over to my by our children.

“I sure am, babe.” She said with a smile as she reached for my hand and took it in her’s. We walked to the front door, being followed by Baz and Peyton, they always knew to stay next to us when we were on a walk, so we didn’t need to put them on chains to walk them. I opened the front door and waited for Baz, Peyton, and Sara to walk out the door. Once those three were out, I locked up the door and took Sara’s hand in mine again. We started our walk down the road, to go to the small park a few blocks away. We always took the dogs there on Fridays.

“So, how are you feeling today beautiful?” I asked her, knowing she was feeling pretty sick yesterday.

“I feel much better! Thank you for taking such good care of me yesterday.” She said as she stood on her tippy-toes and kissed my cheek. I smiled at her, to which she gladly returned the smile.

“You are very welcome.” I spoke, keeping the smile on my face. By the time we finished talking, we were at the park, an Baz and Peyton were chasing each other around the fenced in area. I heard my phone go off, telling me I was getting a call. Sara and I sat on the bench and I answered the phone, seeing the caller ID said ‘Jack’.

“Hey man! What’s up?” I answered the phone.

“Rain, Zack, and I are all outside your house. Where the fuck are you guys?” He asked, sounding annoyed.

“Well, maybe next time you guys should call before just coming over. But, Sara and I are at the park down the road with Baz and Peyton. Come meet us here.” I spoke with a chuckle. Jack replied with a ‘okay’ and we both hung up the phone at the same time.

“Who was that?” Sara asked when I put my phone in my pocket.

“Jack. Him, Rain, and Zack are at our place. I told them to just meet us here.”

“They should really learn to call first.” She said with a giggle.

“I totally agree with you.” I said with a smile as I looked into her eyes and pecked her lips, making her giggle some more. I looked over to Baz and Peyton and saw they were laying down under the tree next to the bench we were on.

“Lex.” Sara spoke softly.

“What’s up?”

“I got that feeling like someone is watching us again….it’s really scaring me…” She spoke as she moved closer to me. I put my arm around her shoulder to comfort her.

“Don’t worry-” I started, but was cut off by a voice, that made us shoot our heads up and look at the person who was standing in front of us a few feet away.

“Yeah Sara, don’t worry. No one is hiding, stalking you, or any of that. Because I’m right here.” He spoke with a evil smirk. I removed my arm from Sara and stood up, standing in front of her and walking closer to the person.

“You have some fucking nerve showing your face around us, Brydon.” I spat, as I could feel my blood boil.

“Haha, I told you, I was going to come for her. And I was going to get her.” He spoke back to me. I couldn’t take it anymore, I rushed him and tackled him to the ground.

“Alex!” I heard the sound of Zack, Jack, and Rain all yell at the same time.
