Jack

Alex was shy, like very shy. He looked really uncomfortable so I was thinking of anything I could do to make it better for him. I looked over at Zack and Rian and I kind of wanted to join them however I wanted to stay with Alex more. He was really cute, I liked the way his bangs flopped in front of his eyes and how he was constantly pushing the caramel hair out of his eyes. He looked up at me, his honey colored eyes briefly locking onto mine before turning his attention to the ground.

"Do you want to go outside," I asked.

"I-I guess," he said quietly.

I grabbed his arm and pulled him through the mass of people. He tensed against my hand. I turned back and smiled at him. I could tell her was uncomfortable with all of this.

"Jack, where you going," I heard Zeke call.

"Outside," I said.

He nodded to me, figuring what I would be doing outside. I'm not saying I wasn't going to smoke but I wasn't going to try to make Alex uncomfortable. We got outside and he visibly loosened up. He pulled away from my hand but smiled at me softly.

"So, if you don't do parties why are you here? Like I don't want to sound rude but..." I said, hoping to not sound rude.

"Rian is Zeke's cousin and he says that I need to loosen up. Parties aren't really my thing. I need to be studying, if I fail this exam my parents are going to be so pissed. I shouldn't have let Rian bring me here, this was stupid," he muttered.

"Alex, he's right. Loosen up a little. Do you drink?"

"Not really."

I gave him a look and I got a blunt off of a guy I had met before here. I lit it up and took a long hit. I passed it over to Alex and he looked at it carefully before denying it. I sighed and put it between my lips. I looked over at Alex who was just looking up at the sky. I decided I had found a way to get him to loosen up.

"Let's go on a walk," I said.

I began walking and he quickly ran behind me, struggling to keep up with my wide gait. I smiled at the boy as I dropped the mostly done blunt on the ground, stomping it out. We soon reached a near by park. I sat down in the grass and the caramel haired boy followed suit. I laid down and stared up at the night sky.

"You know, space is beautiful," Alex said.

"What do you mean," I asked.

"It's so vast and there's so many unknown things about it. Like, there's so much of it that is unexplored and it's so beautiful. The fact that the most beautiful things are the ones that are about to explode is so beautiful, it's almost poetic."

"All I needed to do to get you to talk is to bring you out here?"

"Things are different with you."

"Tell me something about yourself. You're Alex and like space, what else?"

There was one thing I was trying to find out. Did I have a shot with this beautiful specimen of man or did I need to give up while I was here? He was everything I had been looking for. Hell, I was talking to him instead of doing body shots off of some chick and finding some guy to have meaningless sex with. I was happy talking to Alex, I wasn't regretting this decision.

"I'm a music major. I play guitar and I sing a little bit," he whispered.

"Cool, I play guitar too! Can I get your phone number," I asked.

He stuck out his hand, asking for my phone. I happily handed it to him and he typed away, putting his number in. SCORE. I was so happy when he gave me the phone back. I looked over at him as he was staring back at the sky. He was so beautiful when he looked like that. There was only one thing I wanted to do. What can I say, I let my hormones take over. I kissed Alex.

Dun dun dunnnnnn. So, I'm officially no longer a highschooler! TURN UP!! I did almost have a panic attack when I walked though. Luckily my band director was joking with me before I had to go on stage. It was nerve wracking but it feels amazing. Because of that, have a chapter. Jagk, you're up ;)
