Alex's POV

I don't know why I was opening up to Jack so much. It's very rare for me to open up to anyone other than Rian. I told him my parents would kill me if I failed this upcoming exam, not that they are my real parents, but they treat me like their real son. Plus, they are nice people. Jack asked me for my number so I put it in his phone and handed his phone back to him. I looked back up at the night sky, taking a minute to look back over to Jack, to see him looking at me with a smile on his face. I gave him a smile and turned my head back to the beautiful night sky. Before I knew what was happening, Jack moved so his face was in front of mine. Our eyes locked for a good minute, then he placed his lips on mine. I took it by shock. I mean, yeah, I would be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about kissing him first, but still. I kissed back after a minute, then pushed him away from me when my head wrapped around things.

"Alex...I'm sorry...I didn't-" Jack tried to make his words come out. I chuckled and shook my head holding my hand out to get him to stop talking.

"Trust me, I wanted to kiss you as well. But I didn't, because we just met. We have to get to know each other a little bit more before anymore of that." I said with a small laugh. His face turned into a huge grin and laughed as well. I looked back up at the sky, watching all the stars.

"So, tell me a bit more about your self." Jack broke the silence after a few minutes.

"Well, when I said my parents would kill me if I didn't pass this exam, earlier. I should say that they are not my real parents." I spoke softly.

"What do you mean?" He asked sounding confused.

"My Dad left my Mom and I when I was 15. He over heard me and her talking, I was coming out to her, about being..well...what I am." I spoke. "He just up and left us over night, he was kind enough to leave a note. But I don't want to get into that right now."

"And what about your Mom?" Jack asked quietly.

"She supported me for who I am. But, she pasted away about a year after my Dad left. Cancer." I continued my quiet tone.

"I'm sorry." Jack whispered.

"It's fine." I said. Just then I heard my phone go off, I sat up and reached in my pocket for it. I saw I had a text from Rian.

From: Rian.
Where are you? Are you okay? Please text me back when you get this!

I love this guy, he is always so worried about me. I have always looked at him as a brother, well, once I got past the 'holy shit, you're so sweet, marry me.' phase. I quickly typed a reply to him.

To: Rian.
I'm with Jack. We are at a little park down the road. We are on our way back now. Meet you when we get there.

I put my phone back in my pocket and looked over to Jack.

"So um, Rian is worried about me, and shit. Do you mind if we head back to the party?" I asked softly.

"Sure. Come on, let's go." Jack said as he jumped up and held his hand out to help me up. I took his hand and he pulled me up with him. We started walking in silence, that is, until I broke the silence.

"So, you know some shit about me, what about you?" I asked looking over to him.

"Well, I'm 20 years old. How about you?" He asked with a smile.

"21." I returned his smile.

"That's cool. Well, some more things about me is that I play guitar and I love to party. Zack is my best friend, has been since fourth grade. Uh, I'm pretty popular at my college. I grew up in California, and now I go to the University of California for music. Which reminds me, where are you and Rian from?"

"We grew up in Baltimore. Maryland that is. Which is the university we go to as well." I spoke.

"Holy shit that's far away. How are we going to see each other again?" He asked me with what looked to be a upset look. This was something I haven't thought about yet.

"Um...we could Skype? We could meet up when we are on break? I don't know." I said trying to think of times we could meet.

"I'll text you my Skype later. And yeah, I could fly to Baltimore to see you when we both have break. Hopefully they are at the same time. If not, I'll rush into your class and drag you out just so we can hang out." He spoke with a smirk. I laughed at him, making him laugh as well. We continued our conversation for another ten minutes till we got back to the dorms and walked inside.

"Do you have any idea where Rian would be?" I asked Jack as I stood close to his side, feeling anxious.

"He was doing shots with Zack and Zeke before we left right?" He asked looking over to me. I nodded my head and he took my hand and led me around the mass of people and into one of the dorm kitchens. When we got there I saw a worried Rian.

"Hey Rian." I said as Jack let go of my hand so I could walk over to him.

"Holy shit dude, you scared me. Are you okay?" He asked seeming more relieved.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just hanging out with Jack." I said with a nod of my head. "And he may or may not have got me to give him my number." I whispered into his ear. I looked at him and his once worried face turned into a huge grin. I smiled and looked over to Jack, who was grabbing a beer. He looked over to me and gave me a smile. He walked over to Rian and I with three beers in his hands.

"One for you." Jack said handing Rian a beer.

"Thanks man." Rian said taking the beer.

"One for me. And one for you." Jack said holding a beer out to me.

"I told you Jack, I don't drink." I spoke.

"Come on. Loosen up Lex!" Rian said as he cracked open his beer. I looked back over at Jack and he had a smile on his face as well as his eyebrows raised. I sighed and took the beer from his hands.

"All I know is, I better not fucking regret this in the morning." I muttered as I opened the beer and took a sip. "Holy shit this is gross." I spoke making a very, un-attractive face. Making both Rian and Jack laugh at me.
