Alex's POV

"Rian. I don't understand why we have to be here any fucking ways. You know I don't do parties." I groaned as I set my stuff on my bed. We had just got to our hotel in Colorado, and Rian was about to take a shower to get ready for the party. We would have been here a lot sooner, but I hated flying, and Rian didn't want to make my anxiety worse than it already was, just coming here.

"We are here to party and have a good time Alex. Plus, my cousin Zeke, throws the best damn parties ever. So, your first part is going to be the best party of your life. Now, go and take a shower, I'll just take one after you." Rian spoke as he grabbed my hand and dragged me into the bathroom, throwing me a nice looking outfit from my suitcase. I sighed to myself and put my clothes on counter and turned on the shower. I stripped off my clothes and got in. I finished up in the shower about ten minutes later, now getting out and drying off with a towel and got dressed. I styled my hair and put some hairspray in it. When I was finished in the bathroom I went out and back into the room I was sharing with Rian.

"Bathroom is all yours." I muttered as I went over to my bed and grabbed my guitar, I never leave home without it. It was the last thing I ever got from my Mom. Rian knew about my past, hell, he's really the only one that knows about my sexuality. My Mom knew about my sexuality as well, but she's no longer around. My Dad over heard us talking about it one time, the next morning, Mom and I woke up to him gone. All his stuff. Everything was gone. He left a note saying he doesn't want to be known as the man with a faggot for a son. Him leaving broke my Mom, as well as me. Mom was always supportive of me, I just wish she was here still.

"Alright Alex. Let's get going, if we leave now we should be there on time." Rian said coming out of the bathroom. I reached beside me and grabbed my lyric book, and placed it in the sliding part of the bedside table. I put my guitar back in it's case and slowly walked over and grabbed my shoes.

"Come on Lex. Pick up the pace." Rian whined.

"Cool it, just be glad I'm even going." I muttered. He let out a sigh in defeat, knowing that it he made me move any faster, I would say fuck it and not go at all. Once I had my shoes on I walked over to the door and Rian opened it up.

"After you m'lady." Rian said bowing his heard.

"Gosh, you are such a nerd." I said with a laugh.

"Says the person that spends all his spare time studying. Okay." Rian chuckled. Rian is a great guy, if he was gay, I would so hit on him. But sadly, he was straight, with a girlfriend. Her name is Cass, she will be joining us in college next year. I have never met her yet, only talked to her a few times over the phone while Rian was talking to her. She seemed like a nice girl, but I don't know if we would be friends, I'm not really open to many people. Hell, the only people I am open to is Rian and my Mom. Now that she's gone, I'm only open to Rian. But, I rather have him be my friend than be friends with everyone else in the school. By the time I was finished thinking, Rian and I were both in a taxi, and Rian gave the address to college dorms the party was being held in. I ended up falling asleep on the ride there, even if it was only a hour away. I was being shook awake softly by someone. I looked over and saw Rian's face had a huge smile on it.

"Come on, Alex. Were at the dorms." Rian spoke. I looked out my window and say a huge group of kids around with red cups in their hands.

"How the fuck do they get away with this Ri? Our college would murder us." I said looking over to my best friend with a shocked look, due to there being so many people. Rian chuckled and opened his door after paying the taxi driver. I followed Rian's actions and opened my door and got out as well. The taxi drove away and Rian walked over to my side. I looked at him with wide eyes and he could tell me anxiety was starting to make itself known. Rian laced his arm with mine and I pressed into his side.

"Just calm down Alex. Everything is going to be perfectly fine. I'll be by your side the whole time." Rian reassured me. I took a deep breathe and nodded my head. Rian smiled at me and we started to walk around the huge group of people. Rian still had his arm laced around mine making sure that he didn't lose me. We sat down together on the steps that enter into the dorm and a person came and sat next to us.

"Well if it isn't Dawson himself!" The person spoke.

"Zeke! What's up man!" Rian said unlacing his arm from me and side hugging the guy.

"Nothing much, who's this guy with you?" Zeke asked.

"This is my best friend Alex. Alex, this is my cousin Zeke, the one who threw this party." I nodded and waved shyly.

"Not much of a talker is he?" Zeke asked with a chuckle.

"Nope. But he's a good guy." Rian said with a smile.

"Zeke!" Two guys in front of us said. One had lots of muscles. And the other one was a bit taller, with black hair, that had a blonde strip in it. Rian and I watched as Zeke got up and bro-hugged both the guys. I quickly took out my phone and sent a short text to Rian.

To: Rian.
Holy shit. Skunk haired boy is cute as fuck.

I pressed send and heard Rian's phone go off. He reached into his pocket and took out his phone. I watched as he pulled up the message and let out a little chuckle and smirk as he looked over to me.

"Rian, Alex. This is Zack and Jack. Good friends of mine from Cali." Zeke said turning to us.

"Hey guys." Rian said standing up and shaking both their hands.

"Sup Rian." Zack said. I looked to the skunk-haired boy and saw he was looking at me and biting his lip. I quickly put my head down and tried to ignore them. I heard Rian sigh, next thing I knew my arm was being pulled, and I looked up and saw Rian was pulling me off the steps.

"Say hi asshole." Rian jokingly whispered into my ear. I sighed and looked up to both Zack and Jack.

"Hi." I muttered softly.

"He's so shy. It's pretty adorable." Jack said with a smile. I put my head down, feeling a blush come on my face.

"Yeah, that's Alex for ya." Rian chuckled.

"So, what's a person like you doing at a party anyways?" Jack asked. I felt Rian elbow me in the side softly. I looked up to Rian and he nodded his head to Jack. I looked over at the boy and saw he was looking at me.

"Oh, you mean me?" I said with a blush.

"Yeah. You." Jack giggled. Yes, he fucking giggled. And holy shit was it cute.

"Oh...uh..um..Rian...made me come..." I stuttered out as I put my head back down.

"Rian! Come inside and take shots with me!" Zeke said next to Rian.

"Hell! I'm coming too!" Zack said with a laugh.

"You wanna take shots Lex?" Rian asked me. I shook my head and told him no. "Well, do you wanna come in or do you want to stay here?" He asked looking at me.

"I can stay here with him." Jack jumped in quickly. "I mean, if that's okay with him that is. So he's not alone and shit." He spoke. I looked at Jack and he had a smile and a blush on his face. Gosh his smile was cute. I looked back at Rian and I watched as his face turned into a smirk.

"I'll be inside in the kitchen if you need me, Lex. Just text me if you do." Rian said patting my back and walking off with Zack and Zeke. I sat back down on the steps and looked at my lap. Hoping not to make eye contact with anyone. I felt someone nudge my side, and I looked over and saw Jack really did stay with me.

"So your gay?" Jack stated, but more in a questioning way. My eyes went wide, how could he know? Did Rian tell him? Is he going to hit me?

"Uh..um..." I stuttered. Jack chuckled.

"Don't worry about it, Alex. I'm gay as well." Jack said with a smile. I let out a sigh and looked at him.

"How did you know?" I asked quietly.

"I don't know. You just have that vibe about you I guess." He shrugged.

"Oh." I muttered looking back down at my lap.
