Alex’s POV

I was laying on the couch, with Jack’s arm around my waist as he was behind me. I have realized that Jack and I our completely different, in every way possible. But, I wouldn’t want to be with anyone else other than him. He has flaws, like drinking WAY too much. But I look passed it, because he is just being himself. And I loved him. Yes, we have only been together for about a day, but still. I fell in love with him the moment I seen him. That thing, love at first sight, something I thought never lived, but here we are now. Austin was at work, so it was just Jack and I at the house, which was fine by us, just means more lovey-dovey-shit. I heard my phone start ringing from the table in front of us. I let out a groan, as did Jack. I reached over to grab it and saw ‘Rian’ flash on the screen.

“Let me up. I need to take this.” I spoke to Jack. He resistantly let me up. I got off the couch and turned around, placing a small kiss on his lips before walking away and down the hall into our room and answering my phone. “Hey Rian.”

“Alex? Are you still in Florida?” Rian asked, making me confused right away.

“Yes. Why?” I questioned.

“Zack just showed up here to our dorm, I don’t know how he found it, but he did. Alex, he’s pissed. He want’s Jack. And I don’t want anything to happen to my best friend, you need to leave him.”

“I’m not leaving him!” I shouted defensively, but not loud enough for Jack to hear from the living room.

“If you won’t leave him, then you guys need to leave Florida, and don’t tell anyone where you are going.”

“I’ll talk to Jack about, thanks for the heads up Rian.” I said. We said our good-bye’s and I basically ran into the living room, making Jack jump up from his laying position.

“Alex?! What’s wrong?” He asked quickly as he came over to me.

“Zack.” I rushed out. To say what Rian said scared me, would be a understatement. Zack was a big dude, and he scared me.

“What about Zack?” Jack questioned, sounding confused.

“He showed up at mine and my dorm room. He’s looking for us. He want’s you and Rian’s worried I’ll get hurt. He told me to leave you. I told him no. When I said no, he said that we need to leave Florida and don’t tell anyone where we are going.” I quickly spoke.

“What the fuck is wrong with him?!” Jack shouted as he ran his hands threw his hair and turned away from me. The only time I have seen Jack pisse off was when he rushed into my lecture hall and went off on that jock, what was his name again? I can’t remember. Jack turned back to me and his face softened. “I’ll talk to Austin about it, he will help me think of a place we can go. He wouldn’t sell us out to Zack if he shows up. Do you trust me?”

“Of course I trust you.” I spoke softly.

“Good. Because I’m going to make you a promise right here, right now. Zack is a pretty intimidating guy, yes, I know this. But if he does find us, I will protect you. He won’t hurt you.” He spoke as he took my hands in his.

“But what about you? I don’t want you to get hurt.” I said softly, as I laced our fingers together.

“The guy is in love with me. He won’t lay a finger on me.” He chuckled. I looked him in the eyes. There has been something on my mind, and I need to ask.

“Why me?” I asked.

“What do you mean?”

“You can have Zack, or anyone else in the world, but you picked me. Why? I’m the total opposite of you.” I spoke. He let out a small chuckle and answered my question.

“Because, you are perfect. Everything about you is what I have always wanted in someone. Your innocents is just adorable. Yes, you’re right, Zack is just like me. Too much like me. I could never see myself being more than just brothers with him. But you. We have been together for a day and I can already see myself spending the rest of my life with you. Ever it that means giving up my party lifestyle. I love you, Alex.” He spoke. I couldn’t help but smile back at him. I placed my lips on his and put my arms around his neck. He placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him, so our bodies were connected. He was perfect in every way possible. I pulled away from him and looked in his eyes.

“You would really give up your party lifestyle for me?” I asked with a goofy smirk on my lips.

“Anything for you.” He said, smiling at me.

“That’s good to know. But I would never make you give up your old life for me.”

“Just know, that I would pick you over anyone or anything. No matter what it is.”

“I love you, Jack.”

“I love you, too, Alex.” He said as his smile only grew, if that was even possible. He placed his lips back on mine again and I smiled into the kiss, making him smile as well.
