Somewhere In Neverland

Wendy’s POV

We pulled away from the kiss, both of us having huge smiles on our faces, I should have believed him. He’s too nice of a guy to hurt someone on purpose, well, unless your name is Nate. That was crazy. How is Nate even out of jail? Guess I will have to call and find out. Alex and I were walking side-by-side, hand-in-hand. I looked up from the ground once I was done with all my thoughts, I saw my house in view, we were only a couple houses away. I saw Jack, Rian, Zack, and Kara in the driveway. Kara. Oh no. I quickly let go of Alex’s hand and ran as fast as I could to my driveway, everyone looked up when they heard my footsteps, Jack stood up and let go of the crying girl. I quickly got on the ground and brought her into my arms.

“Kara, I am so sorry. I didn’t mean anything I said. I was just upset. I love you so much.” I spoke as I felt tears trail down my cheeks. How could I say that stuff to such a perfect sister? None of this is her fault, she was just trying to help me. I understand that now.

“Please never leave me again.” Her soft voice came after a minute’s time.

“I promise. I am so so sorry.” I spoke as I tightened my grip on her, to which she put her arms around my neck and tightened a grip around me.

“Well, looks like nothing can break a sister-bond.” Rian spoke. I looked up at the four boys who were standing over us.

“Guys, thank you so much for taking care of her when I fucked up….I am so sorry for being a bitch, I should have just got over it and forgave. I’m so sorry…” I spoke quietly.

“Don’t call yourself a bitch. You were doing what you thought was best, you were trying to protect Kara. We understand.” Zack spoke.

“Oh, and don’t make my little sister cry again.” Jack spoke with a smile.

“Last time I checked she was my little sister.” I spoke with a small laugh. I looked over to Alex with apologetic eyes. He walked over to Kara and I and sat next to us. He put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him, as I put my head on his shoulder. I felt so much safer in his arms.

“So, does this mean Alex gets his girlfriend back? And we get our friends back?” Jack questioned. All eyes were on me.

“You guys still want me in your life after I put you all through hell?” I asked quietly.

“Of course! We love you guys!” Rian said with a huge smile. I pulled out of Alex’s grip and locked eyes with him.

“You still want to be with me?” I asked, keeping my soft tone.

“More than anything in the world.” He spoke, looking deep into my eyes. “I can’t think of anyone else in the world I want to spend the rest of my life with Wendy, you have flaws, I understand. They just make you even more perfect. Wendy, I’m in love with you.” He continued. I was right, this boy is perfect. Every way possible. But did I really love him, yet? If I let myself be this open, I have the chance to be heartbroken again. Yes, I do love him. This is a chance I’m willing to take. For me. For Alex. For us.

“I love you, too, Alex.” I spoke softly. I watched as his small smile turned into a huge one. Kara got off my lap and walked over next to Jack, as she stopped crying, and I looked over to her and saw she also had a smile on her face, as did everyone else. Alex put two fingers under my chin and turned my head back so I was looking at him again. He placed his lips on mine, a soft, passionate, loving kiss. There was nothing hungry about it. It’s like he put all the love he had into the kiss. He pulled me onto his lap and laid down, even if we were in the driveway still. He pulled me down onto him, not one time did we break the kiss.

“Okay guys, can we at least go inside before you continue this?” Zack asked. Making everyone laugh, and Alex and I break the kiss, laughing as well.

“Yeah, I think we should.” I said, still laughing. I tried to get off Alex, but he held me down. “Alex.”

“No. I’m not moving.” He spoke with a smile.

“But doesn’t the driveway hurt your back?” I asked confused.

“I could be in physical pain for the rest of my life, as long as you are by my side.” He spoke. I blushed a bit and placed a small peck on his lips, rolling off of his and onto the driveway.

“That was the cutest fucking thing I have ever heard.” Kara spoke.

“Watch that mouth, Kara.” I spoke with a smirk, making everyone, even Kara laugh.

“Come on lover-boy, let’s go inside.” I said as I stood up, and held my hand out for Alex to take so I could help him up, which he gladly took. We all walked to the front door and I opened the door, as they all followed me in.

“I’m tired.” Kara complained. I didn’t blame her one bit, it is 1am.

“Go on up to bed, you should have been in bed hours ago.” I said with a smile as I walked over and gave her a hug. “I’m sorry for earlier.”

“It’s fine Wendy, I understand.” She spoke, as she returned my hug.

“Wait, before you go to bed Kara, I need to say something.” I spoke as I removed my arms from around her and looked at everyone. “We need to be more careful. Tomorrow morning we need to call the police.” I started, but Jack cut me off.

“Why? Why would we need to do that?” He asked confused.

“Because of Nate.” Alex spoke for me.

“What?” Kara asked sounding worried.

“When I found Wendy, she was being cornered by Nate. I kicked his ass, but we don’t know how or why he is out of jail.” Alex continued.

“Oh my gosh! Wendy! Are you okay?! Did he touch you?!” Kara asked quickly.

“Kara, calm down, I’m fine. Alex found me before anything happened.” I spoke, giving her a reassuring smile. She looked over to Alex and rushed over to him and threw her arms around him.

“Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!” She kept repeating.

“It’s fine Kara.” Alex spoke with a small chuckle, as he returned her hug.

“Okay Kara, go on up to bed. Jack, Kara has a queen sized bed in her room if you want to sleep up there. But I swear if you do anything I will murder you in a heartbeat.” I spoke as I glared at him. I watched as Kara’s eyes lit up as she ran over to Jack and grabbed his hand and took off up the stairs. “I mean it, Barakat!”

“Don’t worry! I wouldn’t dream of hurting her!” Jack shouted back down to me as he ran up the stairs with Kara. Gosh, those two better be going to sleep, and not staying up all night jamming out to music or something, they are too much alike for their own good.

“Rian and Zack, you guys can sleep here on the couches, or you guys can go upstairs and take the spare room, there is also a queen sized bed in there.” And with the words ‘queen sized bed’ Rian and Zack both took off up the stairs. I let out a sigh and a small laugh.

“And where will I be staying to night?” Alex asked with a smirk as he walked over to me and put his hands on my waist.

“The couch.” I said, trying to keep a straight face, but failed and ended up laughing. “Just kidding. You are coming with me.” I spoke as I grabbed onto his hand and pulled him with me. We went up the stairs and into my room, as soon as I shut the door behind us, Alex pinned me onto it, hungrily placing kiss lips onto mine. I giggled a bit, and kiss back. He picked me up and brought me over to the bed, placing me down and hovering over me, as he placed his lips back onto mine. I smiled into the kiss and pushed him back a bit so I could speak.

“Not tonight.” I spoke giggling.

“That’s fine. But it will happen again one day, because it was the best I ever had.” He spoke with a smile as he placed another peck on my lips and lifted himself off of me. I moved so that I was laying in the bed. I watched as Alex took off his shirt and pants, leaving him in only his boxers. I rolled over facing the other way when he got into the bed with me, I felt his arm make it’s way over my waist and pull me closer to him, in a spooning way. Which I loved.

“Good-night, Lex.” I spoke as I closed my eyes.

“Good-night beautiful.” Alex spoke, as I felt him place a kiss in my hair.
