Alex

I held Wendy close to me, she was still and shock and shaking softly. She was scared and I don't blame her. I was still scared too but I wasn't going to show it. Jack was currently on the phone with the police about Nate. He'd escaped and they were looking for him. He was giving them where they were. He had his arm around Kara's waist, pulling the sleeping girl into his side. If you didn't know Jack you'd think they were dating, they never would, Jack doesn't do relationships.

"Alex, why'd you try so hard to prove to me that Lisa started this," Wendy asked softly.

"Wen, I love you, I would do anything for you. I need you in my life," I whispered softly.

"I love you too Lex."

I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her into my side. She laid her head on my shoulder and stared at the wall. Music was playing softly, I wasn't sure what band was playing but it was good. I slowed my breathing down to match Wendy's, I felt her smile softly against my shoulder. I pulled her closer to me, her face was against my shoulder.

I looked over and Jack was cradling the sleeping Kara in his arms, it wasn't late but it had been a long day. He mouthed that he was going to bring her upstairs. He felt something for her, it was obvious. It seemed to be more of the protective big brother thing though. Wendy was worried about it and neither was I.

"Look's like Jack's still taken a liking to Kara," I joked.

"I trust him, don't know why but I do," she said.

"Well, that's one of us."

"If he tries anything with her I'll rip his dick off."

"Remind me not to piss you off."

She threw her head back and let out the most beautiful laugh. She pecked my cheek softly and curled back into my side. I listened back to the song, I had heard it before but I still had no idea where. Oh well, I wasn't going to let that bother me. I had this beautiful girl by my side who trusted me again, I didn't need to be worried with menial things like that.

She yawned beside me, I looked down at my phone to see the time. I was only about ten but I understood why she would be tired. I picked her up in my arms, I wasn't about to make her walk, and begun to climb the stairs. I stopped for a minute, hearing Jack and Kara talking.

"Why did you stay Jay," Kara asked softly.

"I can't leave you like that, you needed us Kar," he whispered.

"Promise me you won't leave Jay, I need you."

"I won't leave until you make me. You're like my sister, I need you like you need me."

"What about when you go on tour?"

"We need someone for merch."

I smiled softly at them, it was cute in a way. They got along like they'd always known each other. It was pretty cute, I'd always wanted a friendship like that. I continued to bring Wendy up to her room; she had fallen asleep already in my arms. I laid her in her bed and curled up beside her. I truly loved her, with all of my heart.

Notes

I finally updated guys, I've been busy with work and stuff so I haven't really had any time at all. I'm probably going to throw up another update to one of my other stories tonight. I won't be able to throw up any updates next week due to the lack of Wifi.
