Sacrifice

Alex's POV

I woke up on the sofa and Jack asleep sitting up, my feet resting on his lap.
I moved to get comfy and fall asleep when I realized I had work.
"Fuck!" I said loudly waking Jack up.
"What's up?" He said with his eyes still close.
I got off the sofa and was running round trying to find my things.
" Fuck sake!" I muttered.
"Alex what's up?" Jack said getting of the sofa and streached.
"I have work, and I'm fucking late, I'm going to lose my job this time Jack!" I said in a rush still unable to find my things.
" For fuck sake where's my fucking stuff!" I said loudly.
"Its here Alex." Jack said handing my stuff.
"Jacky your a bloody life saver!" I said and kissed his cheek.
"Jack i dont know the way can you show which way to go so o can get to work!" I said pulling my boots on.
"Sure." Jack said putting his shoes on and going off somewhere.
"Hurry up!" I said getting impatient.
"I'm coming!" Jack shouted back.
"Well done wake Oli and Hannah up in the progress!" I snapped.
" They won't hear us, the sleep like logs." Jack said coming back fro where ever he was from.

While walking to work I couldn't help but think about the stuff I was told.
"Don't think too hard can't see the smoke come from your ears." Jack laughed.
"I'm trying to get head round things okay." I said.
" Like what, I'm sure we'll have all day ask me questions." Jack said.
"I have work remember." I said as we rounded the corner.
" Fuck." I muttered .
"What's up?" Jack asked
"My boss is outside waiting for me, I'm in the shit for sure now." I said preparing myself to argue with Vic.
"Alex where the fucking hell have you been!" Vic shouted.
" Um." I said but before I could get a word I .
"Your fired Alex! I'm sorry." Vic said walking away. But stopped when I started shouting.
"What the fuck man! Who was the fucking one who helped you with this shit? Who was the fucking one who worked here when you couldn't find no one? Your fucking firing me! Some fucking mate you are Vic!" I shouted.
He turned round to walk away from me. I grabbed his shoulder and punched him hard in the stomach and face.
"You are not my friend anymore!" I growled.
I turned round to Jack and started to walk.
"Come on Jack let go." I said sadly.

I lost my only friend. Vic been my friend since I moved here.
How could I of been so stupid.
"He was your friend wasn't he?" Jack said.
" Yeah, he was." I said quietly.
"I don't want to talk about it Jack." I said looking at Jack.
Then i remembered that i dont have a job
"What the fuck am I going to do Jack? I don't have a job, I hardly have enough money as it is, Jack I said I was going to see my parents next year when I saved my money, I can't do that now I haven't seen them for four years." I rambled.
Jack was just listening thinking about the stuff I just said.
"Where do your parents live?" Jack asked.
"The UK." I said sadly.
"You'll think of something." Jack said for support.
"Don't think so Jack, I spent most of my savings moving over here and buying my house and shit." I explained briefly.

By the time i talked about this mid-life crisis i was having we made it back to Olis and Hannahs.
"Jack do you actually live in your own house?" I asked.
"Nope, I crash here most of the time." He said walking through the front door.
"Alex why arent you at work?" Hannah asked walking down the stairs.
" I got fired." I said.
"Oh Alex I'm sorry." Hannah said.
"Not your fault Hannah, don't blame yourself." I smiled.

I walked over to the sofa still thinking.
"Hannah can I speak to you?" I shouted.
" Two secs Alex." She shouted back.
She came in the room.
"What you want to speak to me about?" She said in a huff.
"How long has Jack been living here with you and Oli?" I asked.
"Umm about 3 years why?" She looked confused.
"How about I take Jack to live with me, you and Oli can have the house back to yourself, I need someone to help pass time with. Since Jack has bonded with me I think its only fair that I bond with him as well." I said looking at Hannah.
She smiled wide.
I also knew that Jack was listening to us.
"Alex that would be lovely!" She said jumping up from her seat and crashing me into a hug. "Thank you Alex." She whispered.
Oli came down the stairs and cleared his throat.
" Oli, Alex said that Jack could go and live with him." She smiled at Oli how smiled over to me.
"You sure Alex?" He questioned.
Oli questioning something both Hannah and Jack looked shocked.
" Sure as I'll ever be!" I smiled and looked at Jack.
Jack smiled wide at me.
"Get your shit then, we don't have all day." I said.
Once I knew Jack was out the way and busy I nodded to Hannah and Oli.
"Your both welcomed back here anytime, if you need help on understanding Jack and Spirit you can always come round and ask and we'll help you." Hannah said bring me into a hug.
"Thank you." I said.
" Alex keep your hands of my girl." Oli growled.
" Oliver stop!" Hannah gave him a warning glare.

Jack came back into the room with his stuff, which wasn't much.
"Ready Jack?" I asked
He nodded.
Hannah went up to Jack and whispered something in his ear, me being the nosey person of what I am I slipped into Jacks head.
"He's the one Jack, look after him like he'll look after you and he'll one with you quicker than what you know."
With that I pulled myself from Jack mind and waited for him by the door.
"Your both welcomed back anytime you know that?" Hannah said looking sad to see Jack going.
"We know." Jack said pulling Hannah into a hug.
"Don't cry." Jack whispered into her ear.
She smiled at him.

We made it to my house.
" My house is a bit of a mess, so try and ignore it until I can clean it at some point." I said locking the door.
"Make yourself at home." I smiled and watch Jack walk inside.
" A bit of a mess, Alex it looks like a bomb has exploded in here." Jack said looking round at me.
"I never got time to clean it when I was working which is why it looks like this." I gestured round the place.
"Upstairs isn't like this ita more cleaner than this." I chuckled.
Jack just stood in one spot.
"You can move you know." I said starting to clean the sitting room.
"Yeeeah I know, do you need a hand with it?" Jack asked picking up a pair of dirty trousers.
" You'll be a star." I smiled at him.

After 3 hours we finished cleaning the place.
"How does one person make so much mess?" Jack said flopping down onto the sofa.
"Its call having no time and I'm a messy person so suck it up." I said flopping down next to Jack.
"What have I got myself into?" Jack chuckled.
" I dunno." I said yawning.
"Tired?" Jack asked.
" Yeeeah." I said resting my head on Jacks lap.
"Here's the TV control find something to watch." I said handing Jack the remote. With that I fell asleep using Jack as a pillow.
