Sacrifice

Alex's POV

Cant believe that Jack just pushed me into all off these Creatures.
I felt someone grab my hand.
I looked down.
"Hey Alex." Annie said and smiled.
"Hey Annie." I said back I was trying to think on how to get everyone's attention.
" Need to get peoples attention?" She said tilting her head a little.
"How do you know?" I smiled.
"I read peoples minds and their body language." She smiled seeming proud off herself.
"That's awesome." I said getting down to her level.
"Yeah but its not as good as yours." She said.
"What do you mean?" I questioned her I wanted to know how good she was.
"You can see dead people. You can also get inside Jacks head." She smiled a really sweet smile and looked at Jack.
"Your good." I said smiling at her.
" I'm only 6 but daddy said by the time I'm 10 I'll be even better." She smiled wide.
"Bet you will be." I smiled and got up and ruffled her hair.
"Don't do that. It took ages to sort out." She whined but giggled at the end.
"You want me to sort it out for you?" I asked.
I had no idea what I was doing.
"Yes please." She nodded.
I got back down on my knee and sorted her hair out.
" There you go good as new." I smiled.
"Thank you." Annie smiled and hugged me and ran off.

I got up and everyone was watching me.
"Fuck." I muttered to myself.
They all looked at me shocked.
I looked for Jack and I found him and I pleaded for his help through my eyes and mouthed help to him.
I saw Jack shake his head and come over to where I was.
"Thank you for coming. If you don't know then this is Alex. Alex is my mate and he his human. We are bonded. You older ones know what that means. But for you younger ones I shell explain. You all know I'm Spirit and with this I can bring people back from the dead. That is what I have done with Alex. That means he is bonded like the ones we all know about. He is a shadow-kiss. Yes he sees the dead and can talk to them. So I'll let Alex explain this."
"Over to you." Jack whispered in my ear and kissed it.

All eyes fell on me.
Fuck.
"So as Jack said I'm shadow-kiss. We traveled to England not so long ago and one night i was woken up by seeing a ghost. This ghost was called Lily and she will communicate with me by writing words down. She warned me that there will be danger. Then she left. Not long after she left someone came and they had a spell on them..." I said loudly but then stopped by someone asking a question.
"What type of spell?" They asked.
"It was like a witches spell. I'm not entirely sure. Ask Jack she should know. I don't understand spells and that stuff. Dead people and demons trying to kill you are my specialty." I smiled.
"So what you saying is that they are after us?" Another voice said.
"Yeah pretty much." I said finding hard to breath and my hands were starting to get really sweaty.
"How do you know this ghost?" Someone asked.
Shit.
This is all I need.
I moved my head back hoping I might calm down.
But I didn't.
"Excuse me." I said and rushed out the room.
I got to the kitchen and got myself a glass off water.
"I cant do this Jack." I said as I heard Jack come into the room.
"Just calm down Alex." I heard Jack said and I suddenly felt calmer.
"I know I said I wouldn't compell you but you need to do this Alex." Jack said quietly.
I looked up at Jack and smiled.
"Thank you. But how am I going to get over this?" I said quietly.
" Walk into the room and say what the person asked. Make you dramatic entrance." Jack winked and kissed my nose.
"Go." He said and pushed me out the room.

"I know this ghost because she was my sister." I said as I walked into the room and everyone watched me.
"What do you mean was?" Someone asked.
Fucking hell they where stupid.
"My sister killed herself." I said sadly.
I looked down and tried not to cry.
"She warns me when the Demons are going to put us in danger. Not long after we left England demons found my parents and tortured them." I said.
I looked round the room.
Eyes where following and looking at me.
"Last night Lily visited and wrote down something. She was warning me that every single Creature is in danger. Someone was watching and sent a message using Pegasus blood. You all know about Pegasus's. I also had a visit from my mum. She told me to run and that they are after us." I said and watched them.
"I need your help to stop them from wipping Creatures out. You all know how vulnerable you all our because off the numbers." I said hoping this may help them think about it.

The room was quite.
" How we going to do that?" Someone asked with a Russian accent.
I had to think.
"We fight." Oli said somewhere in the room.
"How do you suppose we do that?" Someone else said.
"I know a few Creatures who will help us." Someone else said.
I smiled at this as people where actually taking this seriously.
" I can't put my little girl through this. We've lost her mother and I not going to let her lose me or get her killed." Someone said who I guessed was Annie's dad.
"I'm not expecting you too put your family at risk." I said.
They all looked at me.
"I know what its like losing your family. I've lost mine. But I'm guessing Annie lost her mother to the Demons? Surely you want pay back for that?" I said.
Annie came rushing over to me.
"Alex." She said pulling at my trouser leg.
"Yes." I said bending down and picked her up.
"They need to pay. They killed mummy. We have to stop them before they hurt someone and take their family away like they did to you and me." She said messing with the edge off my T-shirt.
I looked at her and I could see the hurt in her eyes.

I looked up and saw everyone staring.
"This little girl understands the pain which Demons have put people through when they kill someone. Maybe you shouldn't think about why we should fight but think about who is affected by it. There could loads more Creature children who have lost their parents because off these demons." I said looking at Annie.
"Okay they need to pay but whose going to help us with fighting. We all don't have gifts like some off the people in this room." He said.
"I know someone who can help those who are not gifted. I also know someone who will help those who are gifted get more power out off their gifts." Oli said sitting on the stairs.
"So does that mean everyone is in?" I said still holding Annie.
They all looked at me and I got a load off yeses shouted at me.
I smiled.
I looked down at Annie.
"We're going to get pay back." I whispered in her ear.
She giggled.
"About time too." She said sadly.
Then she snuggled into my neck and fell asleep.

I looked up and saw Jack walk towards me.
"Your cute with her." He said quietly as he got to us.
"Kids love me really." I chuckled.
Jack looked at me.
"She looks a lot like her mother." Jack said sadly.
"How did you guess that demons killed her mom?" Jack said.
"She has the same sad look in her eyes like she lost someone. The demon side off it was a guess." I said back looking at Jack.
"She's to young to be going through this." I said.
"Yeah she is. But she tough." Jack chuckled.

Annie father came over.
"She likes you Alex." He chuckled.
"Maybe its because we have a lot in common." I said looking up at him.
I gave Annie back to him.
"Keep on going how you are Alex. It'll get better soon." He smiled.
"I'm sorry about your sister and your parents. No one should lose their whole family like that." He said.
"I have Jack and that's all I need." I smiled and looked at Jack.
He smiled and left with Annie asleep in his arms.

Not long after everyone left.
"Good job Alex." Oli said patting my shoulder.
I looked at him and smiled.
"Annie seemed to like you." Hannah said.
"Since her mom died she never really spoke to people." Jack said.
"Like I said we have a lot in common." I said and went out to the kitchen.
