Sacrifice

Jacks POV

Alex went out to the kitchen.
"What's up with him?" Oli asked.
"Seriously Oli!" Hannah said.
"What I don't have a fucking clue!" He snapped.
"Alex has been living here for what a month now and you don't think about studying him?" Hannah said.
"Um. No. At the end off the day he's human and I don't need to study him." Oli said sounding pissed off.
"Well maybe you should. You can learn a lot from him." I said.
"Meaning?" Oli said hoping either me or Hannah would finish the sentence.
"Just use your fucking head Oliver! Maybe you'll actually get somewhere! Oh wait I forgot if you had a fucking brain you'll be fucking more deadly than what you are already!" I snapped and walked out the room.

I walked into the kitchen and Alex was sat on the floor back resting against the cooker.
"Hey." He said quietly looking at me.
"Hey." I said and sat down next to him.
Alex rested his head on my shoulder and sighed.
"You okay?" I asked resting my head on top off Alexs.
I could tell Alex was thinking.
"Yeah. But I can't stop thinking about how alike me and Annie are." Alex said.
Alex was holding something back.
"Annnnnd." I said hoping he'll tell me.
"Do you ever give up?" Alex chuckled.
"Nope. Can say the same to you now tell me what else is wrong." I said.
"I can't help but think about how they all looked at me with Annie. It was like they where waiting for me to hurt her or something." Alex said.
"They just don't remember how gentle humans can be." I said.
"Gentle? Jack have you seen what we can do to each other?" Alex said looking at me shocked at what I just said.
"But where they live humans are gentle. They look out for each other and shit." Jack said.
"Jack you do realize hardly anyone looks out for anyone but themselves nowadays don't you?" Alex said.
"Yeah. But it nice to think that there some places where humans live where they look put for each other." I said sadly.
"There is but there like Spirit users there rare." Alex chuckled.
"It could also be because they have seen a human for ages." I said getting off that subject.
"Meaning what? I thought Creatures lived among humans to protect them?" Alex said sounding confused.
"There are some Creatures who would rather live in tribes and live like we did in the past. Which means they would not have any contact with humans. The only time they may have contact with humans is when they need a new feeder or something." I explained.
" Feeder?" Alex asked confused.
"A human who gives creatures blood." I said briefly.

We sat in silence for a few minutes when Alex broke the silence.
" Why did they look at me like I was dangerous? Out off everyone I would off thought they would off be watching Oli." Alex said think aloud.
"Gee thanks there Alex." Oli said walking into the room and joining us on the floor.
"Sorry I didn't mean like that." Alex said sheepish.
" Its fine." Oli smiled at Alex.
"They all look at you like your dangerous because in our world you are dangerous." Oli said.
"What?" Alex said confused and shocked.
"Well you both are. I mean come one what creature can bring a human back to life and be bonded to them?" Oli said raising an eyebrow.
"Um. Its called being a Spirit user." I said sarcastically.
" Yeah I know Jack but what you did you should it hasn't happened for a long time." Oli said getting a point across.
Alex sat in front off me with his back to me indicating that he wanted Oli to answer his questions and not mine.
"Why do they think I'm dangerous Oli?" Alex asked.
"Because off what you did to Robert." He said.
"What about him? He was going to kill us so I did what I had to do to protect me and Jack." Alex said quickly.
"I know. But they don't. Robert was like royalty too us creatures. We don't have royals but because off who Robert was it made him think he could rule us. He wanted us to live by his rules. We werent to go anywhere near humans let alone bond with them like what Jack has with you. When we start training and that it'll be you time to show them that you are not dangerous. You have to show them that you are kind and all that shit what humans are. You got to prove yourself now. If not then no one will follow your lead." Oli said.
"What so you mean 'follow my lead'?" Alex said confused.
"And you call me fucking thick Jack!" Oli said looking past Alex too me.
"That's because you are and Alex is human and he doesn't understand as much as we do." I said.
"Shut up will you!" Alex said waving his hand at me.
"Oli what do you mean by 'follow my lead'!" Alex said looking firmly at Oli.
"Considering your the only one who can connect to ghost and that you are our only way to work out what is happening and also you have good plans as well so people are likely to follow you lead." Oli said.

We left the kitchen and went to annoy Hannah in the sitting room.
Alex got up and walked round the room.
"Fuck my head hurts now." Alex moaned holding his head.
"Have we over loaded your brain?" Oli chuckled.
"Yes." Alex said.
"I need food." Alex said and walked out to the kitchen.
"The fuck guys! Who brought all the fucking rabbit food!?" Alex said as he walk into the sitting room holding two carrots.
He threw one at Hannah and started to eat the other.
"What's that for!?" She said loudly.
"Where's the junk food!?" Alex said as he sat on me.
"Shit I forgot." She said looking down.
"Its fine Hannah. I'll just have to live like a rabbit for a few days. Say when you go shopping and I'll join you." Alex smiled.
Hannah smiled at him and started to eat the carrot while reading a book and cuddled up to Oli's side.

I looked at Alex who was sat on my hips munching on his carrot he had.
"Enjoying that rabbit food?" I said smirking at Alex.
Alex slapped my chest.
"Does it look like it?" Alex said chuckling.
" From here it does." I winked.
Alex stopped eating the carrot and forced it in my mouth.
"Eat it then let's see if you enjoy it?" Alex said sitting back and raising an eyebrow.
At this point I knew Hannah and Oli was watching us.
I bit some off the carrot and started to eat it.
I pulled a displeased face.
"And that my dear friend is how much I don't enjoy rabbit food." Alex whispered in my ear and took the carrot away from me and bit it and started to eat it again.

Alex had finished his carrot and we where watching a movie.
We must off been onto our 4th movie.
Hannah was on top of Oli slowly falling asleep.
Alex was on top off me sound asleep.
Oli looked over and smiled.
I smiled back.
"I'm glad you bonded with Alex." Oli said quietly so he didn't wake Alex or Hannah up.
"So am I." I smiled and looked at the sleeping Alex.
"I don't think anyone could understand you better than him." Oli said.
"Is that with or without this bond?" I said.
"I would say without. I mean you bonded with him before you made him a shadow-kiss. That must mean something." Oli said.
"True." I said back.
"Even if everything is a mess because off it. You deserve to be happy as much as all the other creatures even of Alex is human." Oli said looking like he was getting comfy to go to sleep.
"Thanks Oli." I smiled.
"Its alright mate." He said quietly.

Before long the room was full off soft snores from Alex and Oli.
Alex seemed to try and get deeper into my chest.
"You cold?" I said quietly.
Alex nodded into my chest.
"Give me a sec." I said as I pulled the blanket off the sofa and put it over us.
"That better?" I asked.
Alex nodded into my chest and signed and went back asleep.
Not long after I soon fell asleep.
