Anything But Ordinary

The walls explode with the sound of a fight.

"I'm gonna fucking kill him! Who does he think he is, anyway!?" Jack exclaimed angrily as he paced back and forth in our living room. Alex was standing next to me.

"Jack.. can we just drop it? I don't remember it," I said. Jack looked at me.

"Claire! This is serious! I'm not just going to drop it! It's been three weeks. You need to tell the police," he said.

"What good will it do me? I have hardly any evidence!" I shot back.

"You have the test results, Claire. That's enough evidence as it is," Alex said.

Telling the police about what Oli did was not just a simple task. There were forms I had to fill out for a court date to prove him guilty, forms I had to fill out about myself, and others about the incident itself. The police had gone over to his house to take him into custody until the court date, which was very soon, and I don't think I'd be well prepared for it.

Alex and Jack were on my side, though. They gathered up all of their friends at the party who had seen me fall, which was quite a few, and they told them about the court case, also telling them to be there for support.

It wasn't all rainbows and butterflies the day of, though. I was nervous, I felt like I was going to vomit, my stomach was upset, and I was sweating. I was on the verge of tears as well, that's how scared I was.

We all filed into the court room, Alex and Jack both hugging me. I sat down next to my lawyer, looking behind me at all the people who had shown up to show their support. I only recognized about ten of them, and they were the ones I'd met.

Little did I know, Oli had more evidence than I did. All I had was a stupid piece of paper with stupid test results on it. What good was that going to do for me?

My nerves only grew once the trial started. I sat there, listening to Oli's side of the argument, listening to the BS he was spitting to the judge. I wanted to desperately call him out on it, but I knew that would do me no good either.

"Miss Barakat. What have you brought with you today?" The judge asked me.

"Test results, your honor," I said, my voice wavering. My lawyer stood up and handed my test results to the judge, and he looked them over.

"Mr. Sykes, this appears to be your sperm that tested positive on Miss Barakat. Please explain," he said to me.

"Well, I went to the hospital the morning after to get the test done because he had spiked my drink at a party the night before. I'd woken up in his bed, not knowing who he was or why I was there. I had gone to the bathroom, and I noticed I was bleeding, which stopped hours later, and I had a feeling he'd raped me-" the judge held up his hand to silence me. I sat there, my cheeks heating up.

"I've heard enough. I find the defendant in question guilty," he said. I looked back at Jack and Alex, too shocked to even respond. We won. I looked over at my lawyer, and I shook his hand. Court was adjourned, and I walked with Jack and Alex. We exited the court room, all of the people who came to support me followed us out as well.

"Thanks. All of you," I said nervously. Vic stepped forward, giving me a tight hug.

"You're welcome," he said. Every single one of them hugged me. The last guy to hug me was a tall guy, black hair and blue eyes.

"Never liked that guy anyway. He likes llamas more than he does my band," he said, his voice deep. I laughed slightly, looking at Alex.

"I'm Andy Biersack. Congratulations on winning," he said.

"Thank you," I said, and he gave me a hug before leaving.

Returning, home I still felt the urge to vomit, but I held it back... that is until I puked all over myself while getting out of the car.

"Oh shit!" Alex exclaimed, and he got out of the car, helping me inside. He helped me to the bathroom, and I cleaned myself up, feeling now extremely embarrassed that I'd just done that.

"I'm sorry,".i groaned, looking up at him. Alex shook his head with a small smile.

"Nothing to be sorry for. Everyone feels shitty every once in a while," Alex said.

"But usually I don't vomit any way," I muttered as Jack stepped in the doorway.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Now I am," I said.

"Never seen you do that before," he said. I blushed, and I pushed past both of them.

"Do you two want anything to eat? I'm starving," Jack said.

"Sure," Alex said, and I nodded. I could eat.

"Cool. I'll make nachos," he said. He disappeared into the kitchen, leaving Alex and I alone.

"You were really brave today," Alex said, nudging me a little bit. I smiled, sitting down on the couch. He sat next to me, and I leaned against him.

"You know, I really don't know why I had to tell Oli we were dating two weeks ago," I said. Alex laughed.

"I don't know why either... but I wouldn't mind if we were. You're really pretty," Alex said shyly. I smiled and blushed, looking down at my lap.

"You'd date me even after seeing me puke like that?" I asked with a laugh as Jack made ungodly noises in the kitchen. He always was a loud cooker. Alex laughed, making me look at him.

"Of course I would. We've all seen someone throw up their guts before... doesn't change the way you see them," Alex said. I heard the sizzle of beef in a pan on the stove, smelling it only seconds later.

"Excuse me," I said, covering my mouth with my hand, rushing to the bathroom. Alex followed me again, holding my hair back as I emptied my stomach once more. He rubbed my back, soothing me.

"It'll all be alright," Alex said softly as tears filled my eyes. I had a tendency to cry after throwing up. I don't know why. I just did. I cleaned myself up again, flushing the toilet as well. Alex pulled me into a gentle hug, rubbing my back, making me feel better. We sat on the couch together until the nachos were ready. Once I sat down at the table with my food, I knew I couldn't eat it. I was probably going to throw it up. What was wrong with me? I pushed it away from me, looking up at Alex and Jack who were looking at me incredulously.

"What's wrong?" Jack asked, chewing his food slowly.

"I can't eat this," I said, "it's too much." Jack shrugged.

"Hell, I'll eat it," Jack said.

"Wait, Jack," Alex said, still eyeing me.

"Something is definitely wrong. Usually, you'd eat this, right?" Alex asked me. I nodded.

"It's the smell. It's too much," I said.

"It's been six weeks. What's wrong?" Alex asked himself. I gasped and cursed.

"I was supposed to get my period four weeks ago!" I exclaimed.

"We have to make another trip to the doctor," Alex said, grabbing my hand and pulling me up. Jack was too invested in his food to care. Alex and I just left and headed out to his car.

Aw, figuring out baby names. Hmm... I'm pretty tired right now so I can't really give any good suggestions, lol, but I'm sure you'll come up with something. Or if you really do need suggestions, let me know; I'll try and give some when I'm less tired maybe, lol.
But great job with the update! :)
