Anything But Ordinary

"Care to dance? Alex asked me all of a sudden. I looked at him and raised my eyebrows. He was pretty drunk, especially since he'd had way more to drink then I had. I was only on my second drink.

"Sure," I said with a nod and a smile, so I set my drink down and let Alex pull me into a crowd of dancers.

Turns out, dancing with Alex was actually pretty fun. He would sway his hips to the beat of the song, making me laugh as he held my hands in his. He let go of my hands, seeing that I wasn't dancing nearly as much as he was, so he grabbed my hips and moved me side to side until I gave in and did it myself. I felt like a fool, but everyone was more drunk than myself, so they most definitely wouldn't remember my dancing with Alex.

I only stopped dancing when I got a cramp in my side. I left Alex in the crowd of people, holding up a finger to assure him that I'd be back, and I walked over to where my drink was sitting. I picked it up, and I took a huge gulp, emptying the glass. I took a few steps back in Alex's direction, and I started to feel a little dizzy. The only thing I remembered after that was hitting the floor with a heavy thud.

I woke up with a pounding headache and no sense of time or where I even was. I blinked a few times, adjusting to the light of where I was, and I looked around slowly, taking in the features of the room I was in. I looked to my right, and laying there was a lump the size of a human. But who? I didn't remember anything after I fell. Did I sleep with this guy? Or was it something else?

I went to stand up, and I felt a sharp pain rip through me. I walked painfully out of the room in search for the bathroom, sighing when having found it. I sat down on the toilet to pee, and when I looked down, I pulled my eyebrows together. There was blood in my underwear, but I wasn't due for a period yet. I still had two weeks for that.

"What the fuck?" I whispered. I finished my business and flushed, quickly washing my hands and leaving the bathroom. I didn't know who's house this was. I didn't recognize it.

"What are you looking for sweetheart?" A masculine voice asked from behind me. I spun around, eyes meeting a guy I didn't recognize.

"Who are you?" I asked, suddenly aware of the fact that I was scared of him. He smiled, and he approached me, but I backed up, holding my hands up in front of me.

"I hope I didn't hurt you too much last night. You were quite the fun, darling," he said, his voice velvety smooth. It was so smooth it was scary.

"What?" I asked. He smirked, grabbing my hand and yanking me forward.

"I'm actually quite glad you were asleep for it. Made it so much better," he went on, dragging me back to his room. I struggled to get my hand out of his grip, but he was obviously stronger than me. He pushed me into his room, locking the door behind him, and he pushed me on the bed rather roughly.

"What are talking about? What are you doing!?" I asked as he started to undress. He didn't say anything. He just kept going until the phone in another room rang. I groaned and pulled his clothes back on, and he left to answer it. I took my chance to gather what little I had, and I opened the window, slipping the screen out, and I climbed through. I closed the glass, and I set the screen down so it was leaning up against the house, and I took off running. I.still didn't know where I was, but I'm quite sure that guy, whoever he was, raped me last night, thinking he could do it again this morning. I bolted down the street, spotting a street that I recognized. It was the street Jack and I lived on. I sprinted home, knocking furiously on the door, because well, I didn't have my keys or anything. The door was yanked open fast, and I was pulled into Jack's arms before I could say anything. He led me inside, closing the door behind us.

"Oh my god, Claire! Where were you!?" Jack asked as he let me go. I looked up at him.

"I don't know where I was. I woke up in some guy's bed," I said. I looked over, spotting Alex. He looked worried.

"I think someone spiked her drink last night," Alex said, "look at her. She looks pale."

"I think I got raped last night. But I don't know, because I can't remember anything," I said miserably.

"What makes you think that?" Alex asked, a panicky tone to his voice as he stepped forward.

"Because I woke up bleeding, but I don't get my period for two more weeks," I said, and I sat down in the nearest chair. Alex and Jack exchanged looks, and they nodded at each other.

"We're taking you to the hospital. C'mon, let's go," Alex said, and he helped me up onto my wobbly legs. I followed them out of the house, and we got halfway down the driveway when the guy I'd woken up next to looked over at me. I shrieked and hid behind Alex, hoping he'd go away.

"Oh! Hey Alex! Hey Jack!" The guy exclaimed as he walked up the driveway.

"Hey. What's up Oli?" Jack asked, shaking his hand. Oli approached Alex, shaking his hand as well, and he looked at me, smiling.

"I'm Oli. You are?" He asked, putting on a charming personality. I stepped on the other side of Alex, tucking myself in his side.

"Sorry. I'm taken. Alex here is my boyfriend," I said, executing the lie perfectly. I even smiled to make it more believable.

"Well, it's nice to meet you," Oli said. I cringed when he took my hand in his, pressing a kiss to it and grazing his teeth over the skin, making me pull my hand back reluctantly. I glared at him, resting my hand on Alex's chest as Jack stared at me like I was a lunatic.

"So, where were you guys headed?" Oli asked as he turned his back on me.

"We were just going to take Claire to the hospital. We think someone spike-"

"No! Shut up Jack!" I interrupted loudly, earning another quizzical look from my brother.

"Why?" He asked slowly. I sighed in frustration. I pushed away from Alex, and I shoved Oli from behind.

"What did you do to me last night!?" I asked with tears threatening to spill over. Alex grabbed my hand, but I pulled it back. Oli looked at me.

"What are you talking about?" He asked.

"You know damn well what I'm talking about!" I yelled. Jack looked a little surprised.

"If I know my sister well enough, and I think I do... she will not stop until she gets what she wants. So, I'd answer her question Oli. She doesn't lie either. Unless she had to," Jack said with a shrug. Oli looked at me and shook his head.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what you're talking about," he said, and he walked away.

"Okay, so the test came back. There was definitely some sperm. I ran a DNA test on it, and it belongs to Oliver Sykes," my doctor said. I looked at Alex and then at Jack, both of whom had their eyes wide and their faces red with rage.

"I told you, I just wasn't sure if he did or not," I mumbled.

"I'm gonna fucking kill him! That's my sister!" Jack yelled, and he left the room with a slam of the door.

"Oh my god," I muttered as Alex and I both stood up.

"Thank you," I said, and my doctor nodded. She followed Alex and I out the door, and Alex and I walked after Jack.

"So, why did you have to tell Oli that we were together?" Alex asked. I shrugged and crossed my arms, feeling gross. Alex was carrying the test results for me, and he handed them to me when we got in the car.

What was I supposed to do now?
