Anything But Ordinary

Jack's house was freezing. Cass and I were wrapped up in thick jackets, while the guys themselves lounged about in t-shirts and swim trunks. Of course, I had my own bathing suit on under the jacket I was drowning in, and so did Cass.

"Guys, it's fucking f-freezing in here," I said, my teeth chattering, "can we go outside?" They all looked over at me.

"Sure," Jack said. I sighed and followed them all to the backyard, right behind Cass. The pool glittered in the sunlight, and Alex winked at me as he pulled his shirt off. I blushed, removing my jacket and my shorts. Cass tugged me over so we were out of earshot, and I smiled at her.

"It's going to be fine... besides, you're not even showing yet. No one can tell," I reassured her.

"Are you sure?" She asked, and I nodded, hugging her tightly.

"Now let's go. Alex is waiting for me," I said. We walked over, and I slipped into the cool water, right beside Alex. Cass hesitated before copying me, and she made her way over to Rian.

"My pool is not a place for love!" Jack yelled from atop the diving board. He then ran and dived off in the direction of Alex and myself, for he had placed a kiss upon my lips. Jack swam up between us, surfacing and immediately wrapping his arms around Alex.

"You can't have him," Jack said. He then puckered his lips and barely touched them to Alex's cheek. I just rolled my eyes and moved over to Zack.

"Fine. I'll just have Zack if you get Alex," I said. I crossed my arms as Alex pushed Jack away.

"Nope," Alex muttered, kissing me dead on after breaking away from Jack. I pulled away and laughed, shoving Alex gently.

"So Alex and I have something exciting to say," I announced, catching everyone's attention. They all advanced so they were closer, and the grin on my face was undeniable.

"What is it?" Rian asked, holding Cass tightly by his side. She looked petrified. I looked at Alex and he kissed my forehead.

"I'm pregnant," I said. Jack laughed excitedly.

"That's amazing, Claire!" He exclaimed, hugging me tightly. Rian and Zack both hugged me as well, and Cass cleared her throat. We all looked at her, and she took a step away from Rian.

"I'm pregnant too," she said quietly. I had a large grin on my face as everyone took the news in. The water around us slowly calmed the longer we stood there, motionless. Rian was gazing at Cass; it was hard to gauge what he was feeling. His face was emotionless.

"You're pregnant," Rian said breathlessly. She looked at him and nodded. He then picked her up and she wrapped her legs around him as he twired her around, disturbing the water around us. They both were laughing and Rian stopped moving, gripping Cass' thighs to keep her up. She cupped his face, a smile wide on her lips.

"I love you," he said to her. She sobbed and kissed him desperately. I looked up at Alex and he kissed me delicately.

"Did you know?" Alex asked me.

"Duh. We're girls. We tell each other everything," I replied. Alex shook his head and wrapped an arm around my waist.
