Anything But Ordinary

If I called you up, it was just to say, "I liked you the other way."

I was dying to tell people I was pregnant, but Alex and I agreed that we wouldn't tell until he was back in town, which would be in about a month for one of their stops on the tour.

Cass, however, was pregnant as well, and she had no idea how to tell Rian. So I told her to tell him when the guys got back, and to see how he'd take it from there. She'd nodded and thanked me for the advice.

"Cass, Rian is one of the most thoughtful and caring guys out there. Hes not going to leave you. Trust me," I told her. She'd come over to hang out and vent, and I couldn't blame her. It was stressful. We were totally disregarding the movie we had on as we talked and snacked out if the popcorn bowl I had set between us on the couch.

"I know... I just can't escape the feeling that everything's going to go downhill when I tell him," she said, immediately stuffing her mouth with popcorn.

"Cass, Rian loves you. Why would he give you up?" I asked. She shrugged and we both returned our attention to the movie.

When the movie ended and the popcorn was gone, I shut the tv off and cleaned up the popcorn mess in the kitchen. Cass had followed me to help, and soon we were lounging on the couch again, not knowing what to do.

"What do you want to name it if it's a girl?" Cass asked me thoughtfully. I thought for a minute, not coming up with anything.

"Huh... I don't know.." I answered.

"What if it's a boy?" She asked.

"Maybe Reese or something like that," I replied, because in all honesty, I'd been thinking about boy names far more than girl names. I just felt like it was a boy even though I was only two months along now.

"That's actually really cute," Cass giggled, and I smiled and looked over at her.

"Thanks," I said with a grin. She nodded and sighed. All was quiet until Cass' phone started ringing. She pulled it out of her pocket.

"It's Rian," she said.

"Answer it!" I urged. She answered and held her phone up to her ear.

"Hey," she said, her voice a little shaky.

"Yeah I'm fine... watched a horror movie with Claire and got a little scared. What's up?" Rian must've heard her voice shake, because we did not watch a horror movie. I smiled and grabbed my own phone off of the coffee table. I turned it on and scrolled through Instagram until Cass hung up. I looked over at her as she set her phone down.

"They'll be here tomorrow," she said. I nodded.

"Yeah, I know. Alex called me this morning and told me," I said.

"But they weren't supposed to be back yet. Do you think something happened?" She asked. She was right. They weren't supposed to be back in town until next month. And I didn't even ask Alex why because I was too excited to see him.

"I don't know," I said. She nodded and stood up.

"Well... I gotta go. I've gotta hide the sonogram pictures or else Rian will find out before I get the chance to tell him," Cass said as she collected her belongings.

"Alright. Ill see you later," I told her and she left rather hurriedly, leaving me by my lonesome.

I woke up in an amazing mood, because I was getting to see Alex today. I threw the covers off of me as I stood out of bed, and I rushed a shower. I got dressed after showering and then had something for breakfast before Alex texted me saying he'd be home in twenty minutes. I didn't know what to do for twenty minutes. Stand at the door looking out the peephole? Stand at the window and look out of it until he pulled up? I was filled with too much excitement, so I sat down on the couch and pulled my phone on front of my face. A great way to pass the time.

And it was. The key jiggled the lock and I looked up, setting my phone down. I stood and rushed over to the door as it was pushed open, and I was greeted by Alex. He set his things down and smiled wide at me, pulling me into him to hug me tightly. I laughed and pulled away from him, allowing him to kiss me.

"God.. I can't believe it actually happened!" Alex exclaimed. I nodded and gazed into his eyes happily.

"I feel like it's a boy," I said.

"You do? How can you tell?" He asked. I just shrugged.

"I dunno... it just feels like it's a boy... and if it is... I want to name him Reese," I said. Alex smiled and kissed me again, his right hand on the back of my head.

"If it's a girl... I want to name her Rose," Alex said.

"I think I'd like that," I said. Alex grinned and I stepped away so he could pull his things inside and shut the door.

~~

"Rian thinks there's something wrong with Cass," Alex told me a few hours later. I furrowed my brows together.

"Whys that? Is that why you guys came home so early?" I asked.

"No... uh we came home early because the bus broke down and we couldn't get a new one. But anyway, have you noticed anything off about Cass?" Alex asked. I shook my head even though I knew.

"No... so were we going to tell everyone?" I asked. Alex grinned.

"We arranged a hang out day tomorrow," he said, and I smiled and nodded. I really couldn't wait.

Notes

Yay I'm back! I hope you guys enjoy! :)

Aw, figuring out baby names. Hmm... I'm pretty tired right now so I can't really give any good suggestions, lol, but I'm sure you'll come up with something. Or if you really do need suggestions, let me know; I'll try and give some when I'm less tired maybe, lol.
But great job with the update! :)
