The Tournament
Chapter 1
Once a month we have the tournament. The entire vampire kingdom comes to an old football stadium and watches the "human hunger games." We stick 50 humans on the field and split them into two teams, with 25 people on each team. The living 25 have to fight to the death. The last one alive becomes a servant for the kingdom.
We were now down the the last four alive. There's a small little girl, probably 15, a scrawny little boy that's probably only 16, a tall girl who can run very fast, and the most muscular teenager I've seen yet.
The crowd cheered as the muscular teenager decapitated the fast girl. Down to three now. I sigh and turn toward my boyfriend and kiss him on the cheek.
"Stop I'm trying to watch." He groans, pushing me away. I sigh turning back to the tournament. The muscular guy stabs the last remaining girl. She's still alive but can't move. The scrawny boy steps in front of her, holding a knife. The crowd just laughs. The boy Dodges each blow, running and hopping away from the muscular one. The small boy has several opportunities to stab the other one, but refuses. He slashes his ankles until the muscular one falls. The girl whom was stabbed reaches over and stabs the muscular one, before dropping the knife and clutching her wound.
Two left
The boy clutches her shoulder, obviously crying. They must have known each other. Now amused, I lean forward in my seat. The entire crowd is screaming different things at this point. This is one of the best games so far.
The boy kisses her forehead before taking the knife, and pointing towards his stomach and closing his eyes.

This is more of an intro than a chapter but oh well. I have this story written up to the 17th chapter, so updates should be constant. Posting chapter 2 now :)
