"A-about me?" Jack spoke, nervousness evident in his voice.

Alex slowly opened his eyes, looking up at Jack with his chocolate brown eyes. "Yeah."

"Lex... I...," Jack began, but his voice failed him.

Alex shook his head. "Just forget it Jay. I was stupid to think-,"

Jack leaned down, quickly connecting his and Alex's lips. Alex froze, closing his eyes again and this time, kissing Jack back. It was slow, sweet and left Alex wanting more.

"Jack...," Alex whispered once they pulled apart, breathing heavy and with their foreheads resting against each other.

Jacks hands came up to cup Alex's jaw, his thumb running along the elders bottom lip. "I've been wanting to do that forever Alex."

"Then why haven't you?"

"I was scared, honestly, I thought you'd reject me."

Alex laughed a bit at that. "Jay, I'd never reject you. I love you to much."

Jacks heart fluttered at that. "I love you too Lex."

They kissed again, and this time, Jack rolled so that Alex was underneath him. The elders hands rested on Jacks neck, the bandages that adorned Alex's wrists rubbed against the skin there, making a shudder course through Jacks body.

The rest of the day was spent like that, the couple upstairs in Jacks room, kissing and laughing and just being cute.

Eventually though, darkness fell outside and the couple settled into bed, Alex's back pressed to Jacks chest, the youngers arm wrapped around Alex's waist.

"I love you Lex." Jack whispered, pressing his lips to the back of Alex's neck.

"I love you too, Jay. Always."

When Jack woke up the next morning, Alex wasn't beside him.

"Lex?" Jack called out, rubbing at his eyes.

When the elder didn't respond, Jack got out of bed and stumbled through his room, nearly tripping over the discarded clothes that covered his bedroom floor.

Note to self, Jack said in his head. Clean room.

He stepped out of his bedroom and called Alex's name again, louder this time.

Still no answer.

Jack moved down the hallway that lead to the bathroom, hearing the water running again.

No. Not again. Please not again. Jack repeated in his head as he laid his hand on the bathroom doorknob, turning it and opening the door.

Inside, the water was still running and Alex's voice filled his ears as he sung a song that Jack had never heard before.

"My ship went down, in a sea of sound, when I woke up alone I had everything, a handful of moments I wished I could change, and a tongue like a nightmare that cut like a blade." Alex sung and Jack stood mesmerized by the amount of emotion behind those lyrics.

"In a city of fools, I was careful and cool, but they tore me apart like a hurricane, a handful of moments I wished I could change, but I was carried away. Give me therapy. I'm a walking travesty, but I'm smiling at everything. Therapy, you were never a friend to me, and you can keep all your misery."

Jack didn't realize he was crying until he felt the tears rolling down his cheeks. He reached over, grabbing a handful of tissues and wiping at his eyes.

Alex hummed the melody and Jack instantly wished he knew the song Alex was singing.

Jack was so caught up listening to Alex that he didn't hear the water shut off. So when the shower curtain opened and Alex stepped out in all his glory, eyes landing on Jack and he nearly screamed, grabbing a nearby towel and covering himself.

"Jack! What the hell?!" Alex exclaimed.

"Holy shit. Lex, I'm sorry, I woke up and y-you weren't beside me and I got scared so I came looking for you a-and well.... here I am." Jack gulped.

Alex sighed, shaking his head, water droplets splattered on Jacks face. "Dude! You're getting me all wet!"

Alex smirked. "I bet you like being wet."

Jack rolled his eyes, ignoring Alex's laughter. "Asshole."

"Love you too, sweet cheeks."

Jack sighed, backing out of the bathroom. "Get dressed, dick wad. I'm fixing breakfast."

Alex pouted, causing Jack to cock his head. "What?"

"I didn't get a good morning kiss." Alex whined, sending butterflies through Jacks stomach.

Jack sighed, a smile teasing his lips as he walked back into the bathroom and leaned down, pecking Alex on the lips.

"Morning." Jack whispered, lips ghosting over Alex's.

"Morning." Alex said back, kissing Jack again.

"Alright you had your kiss. Now get dressed." Jack said, patting Alex's ass, causing the elder to gasp and glare at Jack.

"You're lucky you're cute." Alex muttered as Jack left the bathroom.

"Same to you babe." Jack called, heading downstairs.
