CHPT#4

“Morning Ky!” Jack says says as I get up from where I fell asleep.

“Morning.” I walk into the bathroom and look at the horrendous thing that I call my face.

“I went and got us some apple cider and doughnuts for breakfast. I hope that’s okay.”


God he’s perfect.


“Awesome. Excuse my morning face.” I say, sitting down at the table.

“Why are you apologized for being beautiful?” He smiled.

Blushing, “So Jacky, what are your plans for today?”

“Well I have recording with the guys, what about you?”

“Well, I’m going to go quit my job, and then no idea, I’ll probably start packing. I don’t know.”

“Um.. do you like Pierce the Veil?”

“Do you even have to ask? Of course! Why?”

“Well we were thinking about hanging about with them tonight. Would you wanna come?”

“Holy shit, that would be amazing! Definitely!”

“Awesome, well I’m off see you soon.”


I can’t believe I just quit my job to go on tour with All Time fucking Low! And that I’m about to go to Jack Barakat’s house to hang out with ATL AND PTV! This has got to be a dream.


*knocks on the door*

“Hey Kylie!” Alex said, hugging me, gesturing me inside.

“Hey Alex! How was recording?”

“Rough, Jack-a-boo couldn’t concentrate for the life of him, I swear to God. I’m going to kill him one day” He laughs.

“Alex grabs my hand and pulls me into the living room where I’m greeted by the bands.”
“Guys, this is Kylie!” Alex announces.


God, this is can't be reality. It has to be a dream.


“Hey!” Jamie says, pulling me into a hug. “I’m Jamie, and that’s Vic, Mike, and Tony” he says pointing to the guys.

“Hi” I smile.

*Vic hugs me.*

“Sit by me?” Vic asks.

“Totally, Hey, where’s Jack?” I ask.

“The asshole is taking a nap.” Rian says.

“Oh okay.” I say, pulling at my sleeves so Vic doesn’t see my cuts.

“So Kylie, how did you and the guys meet?” Vic asked.

“Oh. Um. I play the drums and sort sing, so I as playing at a coffee shop the other, Jack was there and he came to talk to me when I finished.

“Yeah, she’s fucking amazing!” Jack suddenly says, walking out smiling. “Hey KyKy.” He hugs me, pulling me down onto his lap as he sits in my spot.

“So Kylie, you said that our music saved you.. may I ask what your story is?” Mike said.

“um.. yeah. So I guess I’ll start from the beginning, I had a really tough time in high school, between all of the drama with my friends, and everything with my family. I didn’t have an escape form it all so I started cutting. It progressively got worse and worse, to the point where I attempted to commit suicide. Of course, it didn’t work. But I still thought about it constantly. Then I found you guys, on the days I felt like cutting I’d listen to PTV, it always seemed to help me get through it. Days I was feeling down and just wanted to be happy, I’d listen to ATL. Seeing these guys faces just seemed to perk me up,” I laugh, “and um.. a couple months ago. I lost my brother. He was my biggest hero and inspiration in my life and its been pretty hard for me. Your music has helped a lot with it, also knowing that Alex had to deal with that has helped too. I don’t feel as alone with it. So I.. I guess I should saw thank you. Because if it weren’t for you guys, I’d be long gone.”

“I’m sorry you had to go through all of that, but we’re here now. You're stuck with us. Always. And ha, no problem.” Alex winks.

“yeah. Thanks for telling us Kylie. Um, wanna watch an movie?” Rian asked.

“sure. Which one?”

“STAR WARS” Toy yelled.

“HOME ALONE” Jack yelled.

“Nightmare before Christmas?” I suggested.

“Yes!!” Everyone agreed.

Jack went in and made us all popcorn. Alex picked me up and claimed me. We cuddled all night. I even got everyone’s number from PTV. I just had a really good time with the guys. I could get used to this.
