Kiss and Sell

Hell

Alex was trying to avoid going home. His mother had told him yesterday while he stayed home that his father had been upset she got high and that Alex had also. Apparently, he blamed it all on Alex because Isobel said it had been Alex's fuck buddy who brought the drugs and that Alex had offered them to her.Alex was pissed to say the least. He had yelled at his mother who could only pathetically apologize as if she was really all that upset she had betrayed her son. She had said something along the lines of, "At least I warned you about Peter." Which only set Alex off. He had broke nearly everything in his room -including smashing one of his older guitars he could care less about -and breaking his window with one of the many blunt objects in his room.

He ran off after that and had to get up extra early to walk to school and get there on time that day which somehow was too early. He had been at one of his buddy's, Brendon's, for the night. Brendon was different from all of his other fuck buddies. He told him countless times he loved him, he cared about him, he needed him, he'd marry him. Alex almost believed it for a long time. He'd always count on Brendon to let him in when the rest of the world shut him out, but Brendon was abusive, and Alex was sure he didn't really love him. Though, he told him he did he didn't make a move to actually ever show any affection towards him until they had sex. Alex would always wake up alone -he'd always be kicked out in the morning.

Still, Alex returned to Brendon a lot. He comforted him which is something he rarely felt towards anyone. Brendon knew all of his secrets -whether Alex told them to him or he just guessed correctly and Alex never bothered to deny it -and was probably as close to a boyfriend as Alex had ever been. Alex tried to distant himself from Brendon a lot because he just didn't like being so close to him, but he'd always come crawling back it seemed. He had no actual idea why he was like that with Brendon and no one else -probably because Brendon sweet talked him a lot. Though, Brendon told him he cared and loved him he knew it was nothing compared to Jack. Jack really cared. Alex would chose Jack over Brendon in a heartbeat.

The rest of the day, though, was mostly Alex following Jack around which meant Jack was annoyed to no end. It wasn't that Alex was touchy because to be honest if Jack wasn't so awkward about everything he'd be the touchy one -it was just that he never shut up. He talked, and talked, and talked.Jack just liked to be quiet but Alex was loud and talked and tried to get Jack to talk back. Jack just didn't want to talk -he liked to observe and think. Well, obviously he couldn't do either of those things without ignoring Alex and Alex would notice right away because he wanted Jack to talk back so he'd slap him in the chest to gain his attention and Jack would glare at him. Eventually, Jack was trying to get away from him. Alex didn't seem to take the hint, though, so he either stopped him or followed after him when he started to get away. Even though they didn't have any classes Alex still seemed to just end up back at Jack's locker despite his own not being anywhere near Jack's -knowing Jack always went to get gum after every class -either that or he'd be around his classes somehow.

Jack felt like Alex was stalking him. He would groan when he noticed Alex standing exactly where he needed to go and try to dodge him somehow, but then he'd purposely get in the view of the boy. Jack had to admit -seeing Alex's face light up and him bound up to him happily like he wanted to be around him was pretty great -so despite being so horribly annoyed by the boy he wanted Alex to see him and greet him and come up to him and annoy him -he loved it.

Alex had gotten into the habit, since Jack kind of allowed it and initiated it before, of holding Jack's hand or touching it or something. Alex would admit he really liked the feeling of Jack's smooth skin under his fingers, but probably not to Jack. He had already pretty much blurted it out to Danny and Evan at lunch about how much he liked the guy all of a sudden and how different it was and how weird he felt and everything about him. They listened but if either said anything he'd shake it off and deny it -especially the alleged love the bad boy had for the blond.

But right now -school was ending and Alex was following Jack out -talking about god knows what that Jack just pretended to hum and agree to. He was taking in big breaths -trying to calm himself down because he didn't want to hurt Alex's feelings as he talked -and could feel the anger bubbling over as he continued to follow him to his bike. Instead of being rude like he'd usually be Jack whipped around making Alex stop talking and shrink a little. He thought he was about to get yelled at -not realizing how mad he was making the younger until he could see his face. His eyebrows were knitted together in frustration -face already pretty red -and his thin lips were turned down in a frown. Alex noticed him shaking and shrunk even further as he opened his mouth to apologize for talking so much as Jack flared his nostrils, but Jack stopped him -holding a hand up and taking a deep breath as he hissed, "Do you want a ride home or what?"

Alex seemed to freeze even more than he already was. He gulped as he looked down at the motorcycle Jack was now straddling and asked, "On that thing?" As he pointed at it. Jack had never offered Alex a ride home before -in fact, this was as close to Jack's bike Alex had ever been. He wasn't even sure if Jack knew where he lived, and if he did that would be kind of creepy and Alex's little crush might actually disappear then. He watched Jack start it up -revving the engine a few times and pressing his foot down on something on the side Alex wasn't on as Jack scoffed, "No, on my other motorcycle I have lying around the school parking lot." With an eye roll.

"Uh, s-sure..." He rubbed the back of his neck as Jack looked up at him -ready for him to sit down behind him making him blush and ask, "Do you have a helmet?" Honestly, Alex was kind of a safety freak. He would be one of those guys that never went a mile over the speed limit -usually always five under -and wore knee and elbow pads whenever he rode his bicycle around with his helmet he kept under his bed.

"No." Jack muttered -this time not even a bit sarcastic. Actually, he thought the elder was being sarcastic. He only looked up to see Alex's wide, fearful eyes searching his for any sign of joking -hoping Jack would just hand over a helmet he'd practically pull out of his ass and Alex would happily oblige to be on the motorcycle then, but Jack wasn't showing any sign of joking or sarcasm and Alex was again gulping down his fears.

Alex chewed on his nails for a second -a horrible habit that caused his nails to practically disappear -and glanced around as if maybe he'd find a free helmet in the parking lot or maybe even the answers to life. Jack was feeling his anger that he had somehow pushed down bubble back up in his stomach -his blood starting to boil in annoyance, "Do I... Do I just sit behind you or...?"

Jack bit back a groan and some rude comeback that would surely offend the poor boy he's already hurt enough in the past week as he calmly hissed, "Yes, Alex, you sit behind me. Now, get on before I leave your ass here."

Alex hesitated before climbing onto the motorcycle -grabbing Jack's shoulders for support. He could feel Jack shift and adjust in front of him as he placed his hands on his sides to hold on as he quietly asked, "Shouldn't we be wearing helmets?" only to see Jack shrug. Jack could feel Alex squeeze his sides nervously as he muttered, "Just hold on and you wont need one." He pushed his foot off the ground -the bike automatically beginning to move forward. His stomach flipped as Alex wrapped his arms around his waist and placed his head on his shoulder blade as the speed picked up and smiled a little -thankful Alex couldn't see it from his place behind him.

As they picked up the speed -Alex grew nervous -and began pinching the shit out of Jack's stomach where his hands rested. At first, it was really small -just pinching what little fat Jack had in places near his belly button -but then it grew into a painful stinging which made Jack slow the bike down and whine at the feeling as he softly elbowed the younger.

Alex glanced around the familiar streets he had to walk everyday since his car was on the side of the road still -it usually taking him about thirty minutes to get home now. He had to admit -despite being totally fucking terrified of Jack's driving abilities and crashing -that the bike was pretty fun to ride on when Jack wasn't speeding. It was cold -much colder than he expected -but Jack's body more or less shielded his from the wind. Jack could feel him shiver so he slowed down even more -hoping it'd help the slightest. He was going to have to remind himself to get Alex a jacket if he was going to drive him places now.

Alex liked Jack's motorcycle -he had always admired it when Jack drove on it when he left school which was the only time Alex actually saw him driving it -and now that he was riding it it was like a dream come true. He had always wanted to ride it -or at least have Jack drive him on it. Ever since Jack got it he had secretly wished Jack would take him on a ride. It was surreal that he was finally doing it. He wanted it to last forever. It was a race bike -one that was meant to go fast. It was sleek and black and looked only big enough for one person but surprisingly Alex fit -though it very snuggly which meant he was pressed right against Jack's back -not that he minded.

Alex looked up -seeing his neighborhood on the right and noticed Jack's head turned towards the left. The left was the richer, nicer part of town. Obviously that's where Jack lived. Alex didn't, though, so he pinched Jack's shoulder and said over the wind while pointing towards his neighborhood, "I live over there."

Jack nodded -wishing he could rub the pain from his shoulder because, fuck, Alex pinched really hard, and turned a single on his bike on to turn right into the neighborhood. They passed a small park -the blue and red paint of the slide and swings being chipped off and eroded away -and a few houses. Jack had started going slow when they entered the neighborhood so Alex could talk normally now and quickly said, "I live at the end of the street. The little... Little blue house."

Jack nodded again -finding the house with no problems whatsoever. It was a small pale blue house like Alex had said. The grass was dead -mostly mud with tire tracks ruining what little grass they probably had from what seemed to be the very car parked in the drive way seeing as its tires were muddy as well -it being parked a little crooked and only half way inside the carport beside the house. The paint on the white shudders and railing on the porch was chipping off, and despite the ugly yard and thrown down trashcan -probably ran over -with trash all over the yard, it could have been a pretty cute house. The chain linked fence that sat to the side and wrapped around the back yard was broken -railing bent like it had been ran over or smashed by a fallen tree -but it could still hold in possibly a small dog or something.

Alex gulped as he saw his father's car parked in their driveway -almost wanting to ask Jack to take him somewhere else because he just knew if he went in there he was going to get his ass beat -but he almost didn't want help from anyone. He wanted to suck it up and take whatever was coming to him or deal with it on his own. It was dumb because Jack was right there and out of anyone Jack would surely help him with anything he was trying to get away from, but he ignored the little, piercing voice in the back of his mind that said, "Just ask to go back to his house, anywhere but home!" and instead hopped off the motorcycle nervously and looked at him sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck and said, "Uh, thanks for the ride..."

Jack forced a smile at the boy -one Alex had never seen him actually pull before. Alex wasn't even sure he'd ever seen Jack smile or even laugh for that matter. He waved a little -Jack unmoving. He wanted Jack to leave, but if he waited around any longer Peter would notice him outside and come out and beat his ass -Jack there or not. He glanced at his house -seeing his mother peeping through the curtains in their window and bit his lip as he said, "So, bye."

Jack cocked an eyebrow, "Do you want me to walk you up there or something?" He asked as he looked up to Alex's house making Alex frantically shake his head and hold up his hands, "N-no. No. I mean, no its okay. I just... I'm going. Bye." He turned and walked up his weeded sidewalk -turning back around at the door. Jack was watching him -probably making sure he got in safely -if only he knew what kind of hell was waiting for him on the inside. He took in a deep breath and opened the door to walk in.
