Kiss and Sell

Show Me Your Love

Alex moved his head down to kiss Jack softly while his fingers traced over his chest. They were really supposed to be down for dinner with their families in about five seconds. Jack had asked to invite Alex's family over for what he had called an "early graduation celebration" but it was really to inform their families of their somewhat interloping. They really didn't know how either of their parents would take it. Jack's parents didn't even know they were dating. Alex's mother was positive they didn't even have sex.

So, obviously, they both were putting it off as much as they could. It wasn't exactly easy, of course, because Isobel and Tom would be over any second now and dinner was already finished long ago, but kissing each other nervously was their way of comforting one another and forgetting their worries for a second.

"Are you nervous?" Jack asked, grabbing Alex's hand to play with the ring around his finger like he did ever since he slipped it on. He loved to just feel it there, knowing it meant that soon Alex would officially be his for the rest of their lives.

Alex bit his lip and nodded, "A little bit. I mean... My mom's probably going to freak out in front of your parents. And I feel like your dad is going to be so angry with me, probably thinking I fuck you in the ass all night every time I sleep over."

"Oh wow." Jack laughed, "Of course you're worried about Dad thinking that. I'm pretty sure it's obvious I'm the top around here."

"Whatever! I could be a top!" Alex exclaimed, rolling on top of Jack and pinning his arms down against the bed while cocking an eyebrow and smirking smugly. Jack chuckled at him while rolling his eyes which only had Alex scoffing, "I could be top."

"Power bottom at least." Jack said, giving a curt nod and making Alex snort. For a moment all they did was stare at each other as they fell silent. Really neither knew what to say and neither really cared to start a new conversation. Jack leaned up and puckered his lips making Alex burst out laughing, "Don't laugh, kiss."

"You're just stupidly adorable that I can't help it." Alex laughed, leaning down to press his lips to Jack's briefly. Jack kept his lips puckered, his eye cracking open as he waited for more. Alex rolled his eyes and leaned down to kiss him again. Jack hummed against his lips quietly before they heard the doorbell ring and Alex suddenly jumped up and ran out of the room.

"What the hell?" Jack called.

"MY FAMILIES HERE GET THE FUCK UP, YOU DISRESPECTFUL ASS." Alex screamed, laughing as Jack jumped up and suddenly tumbled out of the room and ran straight into him. Alex squeaked in surprise, rushing down the stairs while Jack tried to pull him back into his arms for a kiss. He managed to get his arms around Alex's waist as they got to the end of the stairs just as Joyce was opening the door for Alex's mother and brother. Alex struggled in Jack's grip, laughing as he tried to push him away, "Get off me! Oh gross! You smell like sweat!"

Jack kissed his cheek and kept his arms wrapped securely around Alex's waist while hooking his chin over his shoulder. In his ear, Jack whispered, "I love you so fucking much."

Alex blushed as he whispered back something about love and reached out to Tom when he walked closer, "Wanna see Jack's room?"

Tom shrugged and Alex pulled both boys back up the stairs quickly. He pushed Tom into the bedroom, letting Jack close the door behind them, and said, "I'm gonna tell you first."

"Tell me what?" Tom asked.

"Because you're my brother and I love you-"

"Oh my god, you're pregnant." Tom cut off.

"What?!" Alex blushed and looked down at his stomach, "N-no! I was going to tell you the real reason you and Mom are here, stupid!"

"It's because you're pregnant?" Tom asked.

"Alex is definitely not pregnant." Jack said, wrapped his arms around Alex's waist, "We wouldn't do that to ourselves right now."

"'Do that to ourselves'?" Alex asked, looking over his shoulder at Jack who frowned. He was a little offended Jack was obviously implying being pregnant was a bad thing, and he wondered if Jack would say it if he Alex was.

"Well, it's kind of early for kids, Lex."

Alex was about to argue when Tom cut in, "What are you telling me if you aren't pregnant?"

"Oh shit, um... We're kind of maybe getting married?"

"What?" Tom gasped, looking at the couple with shock, "I really expected you to get pregnant first."

"Oh whatever." Alex rolled his eyes. Their names were called and Jack detached himself from Alex to go downstairs. Alex smiled at Tom before running out of the room and down stairs after Jack. He jumped down the last few steps, landing loudly right beside Jack making the taller jump.

"Douche." Jack muttered, grabbing Alex's hand instantly and running his thumb over his ring on his finger. Alex giggled and leaned over to kiss him on the cheek before they walked rather slowly to the table where everyone was already pretty much sitting. Joyce and Isobel were engaged in a pretty serious discussion about Jack and Alex's future.

Tom sat down beside Jack and Alex who were practically sitting on top of each other and gave his brother a worried glance.

"So," Alex started about half way through the dinner with a little blush, "I guess I'm just going to say it... Jack and I are getting married."

Everyone fell silent. Jack squeezed Alex's hand tightly, eying his parents and hoping for their approval. Joyce looked shocked.

"Married? I... When... When did you two start...?" She trailed off, her mouth opening and closing with confusion, "Jack, honey, you never told me you were... I mean... I just didn't know you were dating. I thought... I guess I can see it now if I think about it, but..."

"Well congrats." Bassam said, shrugging, "I don't really approve of getting married so young, but maybe a nice boy like Alex will straighten you out, Jack. Settle you down."

Sure, "settle me down". Jack thought, trying not to laugh. As if Alex could settle or straighten himself out let alone anyone else.

"Alex," Isobel whispered, "I don't know what to say. I-I'm happy for you two, but this isn't what I wanted. Don't you think it's a little early?"

"We want to get married as soon as possible. We're moving in together in New York which is where I'm going after high school with Jack. I'm going to apply to the same college as him and if it's too late to get in I'm going to go to the public college there so we can still live together." Alex explained.

"All the way in New York?" Isobel choked, "Honey... I don't know how to feel about this. Couldn't you have at least told me before now? Graduation is in less than a week..."

Alex frowned, "I'm sorry, I don't know, I just thought this way would be easiest. Quick like a band-aid, I guess." He glanced over at Jack who smiled sadly at him.

Joyce still seemed to be in a state of shock over the entire thing. A part of Alex worried she was going to end up hating him. He really did like Joyce and in a way she was like a second mother to him. He bit his lip and scooted a little closer to Jack, "We just really love each other..."

Jack nodded in agreement. Joyce stood up with tears in her eyes and whispered, "I'm sorry. I just need a little while to think about this."

Isobel nodded her agreement and got up herself, sighing quietly, "I guess it's your choice, boys. You're both adults and old enough to take care of yourselves. I just hope this is what you two really want."

They both nodded and Isobel smiled sadly before calling Tom and leaving. Bassam simply smiled at them, patting Jack's back and saying, "I knew you'd marry the man of your dreams before your sister the minute you were born."

Jack blushed and laughed, "Oh thanks, Dad."

As soon as Bassam left the room Alex turned to Jack and sighed, "Well, at least your dad is okay with it."

"Your mom seemed okay-ish."

"My mom is pissed. I can tell." Alex sighed, rubbing his temple, "As soon as I get home she's going to be like 'this is exactly what your father and I did and I thought you understood I didn't want you to follow in my footsteps and make the same mistakes as me' blah, blah, blah."

Jack frowned, "So loving each other is a mistake?"

"No," Alex sighed, "Getting married young is a mistake. My mom loves my dad but she regrets not realizing sooner that she could have done better and could have lived her life differently without a kid and a husband messing it all up." He groaned and leaned forward, pressing his forehead against Jack's shoulder and mumbling, "Maybe we shouldn't have told them."

Jack ran his fingers through Alex's hair, "Yeah, but it's too late now."

Alex sighed, "Now we just have to tell all our freaking friends."

Jack laughed, "I doubt our friends are going to react the same way as our parents, Alex. They'll probably be the only people who absolutely freak in a good way."

Alex chuckled, "I guess you're right."

"Mostly, I see Cass absolutely going full out fangirl on us."
