Alex had never met his brother. Well, that's not entirely true. He just couldn't remember ever meeting his brother. He didn't remember much of England which is where his mother said his brother was flying from to be reunited with them once again.

"We just couldn't take him with us when we moved to America." Isobel had explained, "We dreaded not taking him, but your grandmother wouldn't allow it. It was either one of you or neither. She knew we were too young to take care of two children especially when we were moving to a whole new country. Your father and I just... tried to block everything about him out. That's why you never heard about him." She had sighed while giving him an apologetic look.

Alex had always blocked out England too. He really should have some sort of memory of his brother because it wasn't like he was a baby when they moved to America, but all he could really, honestly remember was how he got lost at the airport and had cried until his father found him. He could remember that it was around that time his father started acting different. Could it be because of the lost of one of his sons? Maybe he had liked Tom better.

"There's one more thing about Tom, Alex." Isobel said as they stood waiting at the airport -giving her son a small smile at how he excitedly glanced around the building -watching every British-looking person (or what he figured was British-looking) walk by while hoping it was his brother. He was tapping his foot impatiently, tugging at his shirt, and fiddling with the sleeve of his coat but stopped instantly to give his mother a questioning look causing her to continue, "He's going to be going to school with you."

"How old is he?" Alex asked, figuring he was a younger teen.

Isobel hesitated, a grin growing across her face as she looked forward like she was watching something in the distance, not meeting Alex's gaze, and said, "He's eighteen."

Alex gave his mother a questioning look, "Eighteen? I'm eighteen..."

He watched Isobel nod as she began walking away from him and forward to a young man. Alex couldn't see his face because Isobel stepped in front of him. He could see his arms wrap around his mother's waist and some dark brown hair over her shoulder, but it wasn't until she turned around and pulled him back over to Alex did he really get to see his brother for the first time.

Alex felt like he was looking in a mirror for a minute. He blinked, his mouth opening in awe as he stared into his own face. Tom gave a shy smile, averting his eyes to his feet while mumbling, "Hello, brother."

"Uh, hi... Um... I... God." Alex breathed, still in disbelief of how similar they looked. The only difference that Alex could find so far was their hair and their height. Tom's hair was kept slightly shorter and much darker. He seemed to put a lot more effort into it than Alex who had let his grow out to his shoulders. It was kept trimmed, obviously, and dyed. Alex's roots were starting to show in his. Tom was also about two inches shorter than him. Suddenly, Alex felt something he never felt before. He felt somewhat whole with his long lost brother standing in front of him; like their family was whole now. But a piece was missing and would be for a while. Still, Alex felt a long lost bond in their family clicking together for all of them.

"It's really been too long." The Brit chuckled quietly, giving his brother a soft smile as his eyes finally reached his once again. Alex felt a smile creep onto his face.

"Hell yeah it has! Where the fuck have you been hiding?" He laughed -moving forward to give Tom a tight hug. Tom tensed before he awkwardly wrapped his arms around his brother's waist while chuckling nervously and mumbling, "Just across an ocean."

Alex pulled back laughing, looking his brother up and down just to get a feel of him finally being in front of him, and being his fucking twin. Alex turned to his smiling mother and gave a playful glare, "Why didn't you tell me I had a twin?"

"Like I said," Isobel mumbled as she reached forward to bring both her boys in for a family hug, "We were devastated not to bring Tom and never wanted to speak of it again. I'm so sorry to both of you. I never want you two to separate. You're twins! You deserve to know of each other and be close!" She squeezed them tightly before letting them go. Tom blushed as he nodded and looked down at his feet while Alex draped an arm over his shoulder.

"Well, this is going to be fun to explain to everyone at school!" He laughed.

"Right." Tom mumbled, "When will I start school again?" He asked, looking up at Isobel.

"Whenever you're settled in and we've got all your information from England, darling. Which should be within a week. So soon. Alex will surely show you around, won't you, Lex?" She asked.

"Duh! I'll show you every single closet that locks for any of your sexual needs!" He winked.

"Alexander!" Isobel scolded, slapping his arm and making him frown. He could see a deep shade of pink on his brother's cheeks making him chuckle and say, "We're boys. We need our privacy times! Not to mention there are a lot of hot guys and gals at our school!"

Tom's blush deepened as he looked down at his feet. Isobel rolled her eyes at Alex who stuck his tongue out at her. Isobel suggested they leave and the entire time from the building to the car (about a whole five minutes, maybe less) Alex didn't stop asking Tom questions about his life in England, and barely let his brother finish an answer before he was asking another. Alex could tell he was the talker between the two. He suggested Tom sit in the front with them since there was a middle seat Alex could sit in, but Tom denied and said he was much more fit in the back. He didn't seem to like being around people much. Alex assumed he was just really shy.

"I'm gonna call my boyfriend." Alex said as he pulled out his phone.

"Put it on speaker." Isobel said, giving him a stern look. Isobel liked Jack, sure, but she did not want her son having sexual conversations in the car with them, and she also wanted to see how nice the boy actually was to Alex as well.

Alex rolled his eyes and dialed Jack's number. When he answered he put the phone on speaker and cried, "You're on speaker motherfucker!"

"Kay." Jack answered. Alex turned to smile at his mother sweetly while singing, "Mom is here and my dearest brother, Tom."

"I didn't know you had a brother." Jack mumbled.

"I totally do, and that's not it. Bitch, I have a twin brother."

Jack scoffed, "Liar."

"It's true!" Alex exclaimed while glaring at his phone. He turned around and held the phone out towards Tom, "You talk to him, Tom."

"Er... Hi..." Tom mumbled, blushing as he looked down at the picture Alex had saved Jack's contact as. A boy with no shirt on.

Alex pulled the phone back only to hear Jack say, "That's just you putting on an accent. A really bad one, might I add." Tom blushed in embarrassment of his accent.

"No!" Alex cried before looking at his giggling mother, "You tell him, Mom."

"It's true, Jack. He has a twin." She giggled, sounding sarcastic to Jack because of her laughter.

"Getting your mom to lie for you? That's low, Gaskarth."

"Shut up!" Alex cried before angrily hanging up. He was going to prove he had a twin to his dumb, annoying, adorable boyfriend.

Notes

Before I say anything just know I know Tom is not Alex's twin irl. Alex doesn't have a twin irl at all in case it confuses anyone xD.

Secondly, if you get confused about Tom I'll show you how I imagined both him and Alex to look in this fic.

This would be Alex:

And this would be Tom:

There both pictures of Alex, of course. "Tom" just has darker, shorter hair. It's just to give everyone a feel of what he looks like as well as what I imagine Alex to look like in this fic.
