Carry Me Home Tonight

Oh the guys were getting pissed off at me and Kenzie. We would be at each other’s side every moment of the day and night. We’d kiss and be cute, getting under everyone’s skin. I loved feeling like this with Kenzie. It has been a long time coming.

Currently, Kenzie and I were spending my free time in the front lounge with everyone. Kenzie was in my lap, curled up to my chest as she traced my skeleton tattoo on my left forearm. I loved her touch on my tattoo, it gave me chills but also set my skin on fire where she touched.

“You guys are unbelievable,” Zack groaned.

“You’re just jealous,” I teased him.

“No I’m not,” he replied with a glare, “You guys are being too cute for us.”

“Good,” Kenzie smirked at him, “That’s what we were aiming for.”

“Seriously,” Matt added in on the complaints, “You guys are making me and Tess uncomfortable.”

“Hey,” I looked at both of them, “I haven’t felt like this in five years. I am entitled to being cute with my girlfriend.”

“He has a point,” Rian added as he put his phone away, “After everything he and Kenzie have been through, they should be allowed to rub in that they’re happy now.”

Everyone sighed and nodded, knowing Rian was right. I smiled and kissed Kenzie softly. I was going to milk every chance I had to enjoy her. She was in pain and tormented by fear for five years because of me. I needed to make it up to her by being the perfect boyfriend. And I had a plan on how to do it.

The guys and I just finished out set on stage. I was exhausted and coated in sweat. I needed to get back to the bus to shower and get ready for my plan tonight with Kenzie.

I was taking her to dinner tonight. It’s been three weeks since we had sex, and I wanted to take her out for a nice dinner date to celebrate that I got all of my emotions back. It was going to be at a nice restaurant, and I was going to wear a tie tonight.

I got dressed into a white button-down shirt, a black skinny tie, and a pair of black skinny jeans. I wore my black high tops since I didn’t bring my dress shoes with me on tour. Once I was dressed, I styled my hair quickly, keeping it in a messy look that still looked tamed.

I went to the back lounge, where Kenzie went to get ready. I opened the door to find her slipping on her wedge heels that went with her nice black sundress. It was a halter dress with an open back. She looked beautiful. Her red hair fell in soft curls against her back. When she looked up at me, her chocolate eyes shined as she smiled at me.

“Wow,” Kenzie blushed, “You clean up nicely, Alex.”

“Thanks,” I replied with a smile, “I know when I was a teacher I didn’t go all out on showing how dapper I can be.”

“Let’s go eat,” Kenzie smiled as she latched onto my arm.

When we got to the restaurant, I was all gentlemanly for Kenzie. I held the doors for her, and I even helped her out of our taxi. I was laying on the charm, since I had a good feeling she enjoyed it when I did it.

“Wow Alex,” Kenzie gasped at the nice restaurant we had pulled up to, “You pulled out all the stops.”

“Oh you don’t know the half of it,” I smirked as I led her inside.

“Reservations,” the hostess asked as we walked up to her podium.

“Gaskarth part of two,” I told her as I placed my hand on Kenzie’s.

“You’re table is ready, Mr. Gaskarth,” she replied with a smile as she got us our menus, “If you would please follow me.”

I guided Kenzie through the restaurant until we got to our table. I got one that was isolated from the rest of the diners. I wanted to be able to hide that I wasn’t eating a lot due to my being a vampire.

“Here is your table,” the hostess smiled as she placed our menus on the table, “Your server will be by shortly.”

I pulled out Kenzie’s chair and got her settled in first before I took my seat. I looked over the menu quickly, acting like I was going to order something. Kenzie took her time though.

“Hmm,” Kenzie was thinking, “I think I’ll go with the alfredo sauce on the linguini. What are you going to have?”

“I’m just going to have some wine,” I told her, “I’m not hungry, as you know.”

“Oh I know,” she smiled softly, “Did you already eat?”

“No,” I told her, “But I’ll just wait until we get back to the bus for my meal. This is all about you.”

“Okay,” she looked at me intently, “Do you want to have some of me?”

“No,” I told her, getting serious with her, “I will stick to steaks.”

“Well I am always yours,” she replied.

While we ate, I noticed Kenzie was eating slowly. She took a couple bites of her pasta before she covered her mouth. Before I could say anything, she ran off for the restroom. I was left in shock at how quickly she had ran off. I was worried about her.

I was about to go after her, but I decided against it. I knew she’d come out when she was okay. But I wanted to know what had happened to her.
