Kiss Me Again

"Oh my gosh! First we went to the beach, and now we're going ICE SKATING! LIKE.. ICE SKATING!!"
Hayley wouldn't shut up, as we walked into the skating rink.
"I know, Hayley. Can you believe it?" Tay rolled her eyes and smirked, sarcastically.
"But I LOOOOVE ICE SKATING! IT'S SO FUN..AND GRACEFUL..AND ICY.. AND-AND.."
"Whoa! Don't hurt yourself, kid!" Tay laughed.
Jack and I offered to go get all of our skates, while the girls sat down on one of the benches to chat about whatever the fuck girls talk about.
"Dude, what the fuck. Ice skating?? Why'd you have to get me into this shit?" Jack complained to me, as we stood in line.
"Hey, actually, YOU got ME into this shit!" I argued.
"Me? How?"
"Because YOU don't know how to make a move and fucking ask Hayley out by yourself! Apparently, you needed some assistance, so we helped."
"What? So you mean like...this is some sort of..date?" Jack cringed with unease.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you've never been on one of those.." I rolled my eyes, earning a glare from Jack.
"Shut up! I know how dates are supposed to go, and this is NOT my ideal first date with Hayley!"
"But it's hers.." I teased, before turning to order our skates.
"Goddammit, man! I'm gonna look like an idiot!" Jack smacked his hands onto his face.
"Good. Cause when you're an idiot, you amuse her. Now, come on. Let's do this."
We walked over to the girls, and tied on our skates.
"You guys ready for this?" Tay laughed, looking back at us while we struggled to balance on the huge blades, to get to the ice.
"YESSS! I AM SO SO SOOOO READY!!" Hayley confidently screamed, as she tiptoed past us all, and out to the ice.
She began skating with ease, not even grabbing hold to the railing, or anything!!
Jack turned to look at me, with his eyebrows raised, and his jaw practically hitting the floor.
I nervously chuckled, as he narrowed his eyes and gave me a look that said: "When this is over, you are so dead."
We slowly and carefully stepped out onto the ice, when some guy who looked like he played hockey flew right past us, causing us to lose our balance, and lean back and forth, swinging our arms like crazy people.
"ALEX!!!" Jack screamed, grabbing onto my back, wobbling his long legs around, causing me to miss the railing, and I sent us tumbling down onto the ice.
The girls skated up to our pile, gasping as we painfully scrambled to untangle our limbs, without slicing each other with the blades on our skates.
"Oh my gosh!" Hayley giggled, holding her white gloves to her mouth.
Jack and I barely got to our feet, and slowly tried to move, holding onto the railing for dear life.
"I'm so fucking going to kill you." Jack angrily whispered, from behind me.
"Go skate with Hayley, we're only here for you guys, anyway. You should be talking to her!" I quietly argued back.
"SKATE? YOU WANT ME TO FUCKING SKATE?? News flash, Alex..I CAN'T SKATE!!"
"Just try, man! Believe in yourself!" I chuckled, giving words of encouragement.
"You know what, Alex? Kiss. My. A-"
"COME ONNN, JACK! COME SKATE WITH ME!" Hayley hooked her arm around Jack's, and started skating out farther away from the barricade.
"Uh..uh HAYL!" Jack was really fighting to keep his balance.
Hayley tightened her hold on his arm, and stopped. The railing was out of his reach now.
"Relax, Jack. Just follow my foot movements. Up..and out..lean forward...there you go, see? Just keep on doing that!" She coached him.
He was kind of getting the hang out it. Not completely, but kind of.
The sight of those two together made me smile.
Now that that's out of the way...
I tried following Hayley's technique, while still holding onto the railing. I kept moving further around the rink, until I got closer to Tay, who was now skating over to me from the center.
"Our plan is working!" She clapped a little bit, obviously proud of herself.
"Yeah, it is..I'm not having too much fun here, though. Maybe you could help me out." I half grinned, flirting with my girlfriend.
She giggled and took both of my hands.
"Whoa!!" I tried to adjust my legs so I wouldn't fall.
This is fucking scary. And cold.
Cold and scary.
"Relax, Lex. I got you!" I smiled at the name she gave me. Only Jane calls me that. I missed her a lot. But the nickname has always put me at ease.
"Uh..is this even safe for you? You can't even see where you're going!"
She was still holding my hands, facing me, and skating backwards.
"Then you'll just have to be my eyes!" She smirked, pulling me along.
I began to try to skate like I was before, and I was really getting the hang of it, pretty quickly.
"You're doing it, babe!" Tay clapped, now skating beside me.
"But I can't go too fast, so don't try to race me or anything.." I warned.
And just as I said that, she flew right past me, about 7 feet ahead, before turning around and laughing.
I shook my head and laughed, as well.
I kept going my slow pace, and just watched her from a distance.
She looked like an angel, just skating so gracefully across the ice, with no effort at all.
She had her hair up in a ponytail again, which I thought was super hot.
She was wearing the big pink sweater I bought her on our first "date" on Thames Street. I looked down and realized that I was wearing the super cool, black American flag jeans she had gotten me for Christmas.
Funny how that turned out, huh?
We've been together for a month now, and I think it's safe to say, that I am 100% in love with Tay Jardine. I just love everything about her. When I'll actually tell her that? I don't know. But I want to tell her soon. I want her to know how I need her, and care about her, and enjoy being with her. I just love that beautiful, skating angel so much.
She was quickly skating over to me now, with an excited look on her face.
"LOOK! ALEX, LOOK!" She pointed over across the rink, to Jack and Hayley.
Jack was on the ground with Hayley on top of him, making out. They must've had some collision and decided it was the perfect moment.
I applauded them, before turning back to Tay, and leaning down to kiss her.
When these perfect moments come, you've just gotta take them.
She smiled into the kiss, before a group of little kids flew past us, causing us to grab a hold of each others arms, trying to keep our balance.
Once we were secure, we laughed, then continued skating hand in hand.

"Tonight was really fun, guys! Thanks for inviting me!" Hayley smiled, as we dropped her off at her driveway.
"Wait, Hayl! You forgot something." Jack quickly got out of the car, before wrapping his arms around her waist, and smashing their lips together.
Tay "aww"ed at it, but I was pretty fucking sick of it. They've been sucking face the entire ride here!!
An eternity later, they said their goodbyes, and Jack got back into the car.
I started driving to his place, while he sat in the back and grinned to himself like an idiot. He thought no one could see him, but I could see through the mirror.
"Oh, I just can't get enough of you lovebirds!" I yelled, sarcastically.
"Shut up, Alex. Not like we haven't had to watch you guys be all 'lovey dovey' every single fucking morning.. makes me want to throw up!"
I shut my mouth after that, and felt my cheeks heat up. I glanced over and saw that Tay was also blushing.
Once we got to Jack's house, he told us goodbye and got out of the car. But right when he was about to shut the door, he leaned back in and grinned.
"Thank you guys...a lot. It went a lot better than I expected it would." He chuckled, before shutting the door and walking off to his front door.
"And our work here is done." Tay had a smug grin on her face as I pulled out of his driveway.

"We...are geniuses." Tay wrapped her arms around my shoulders from behind me, as I was standing in the middle of my bedroom.
I turned around and grinned, wrapping my arms around her waist.
"We are, aren't we?" I chuckled.
"Oh my gosh, we're like..relationship gurus or something!!"
"I don't think that's the right word for it, but okay, babe." I rolled my eyes and smirked.
"Shut up, Gaskarth!" She laughed, giving my chest a little smack.
"No you, shut up...Gaskarth.."
She giggled, and then we both leaned in for a long, sweet kiss.

And there goes yet, another perfect moment that night.
Man, I love her.
