It's now Monday, and it's the only day of school we have this week, due to winter break starting tomorrow. They should've just let us have Monday off too, but whatever, it's stupid shit.
I was getting ready; straightening my hair and trying to style it to my best ability. I have to look extra good today, I'm gonna ask Tay to come over to my place.
I have a little surprise for her, and then I'm gonna ask her out on a date, and basically I'm planning on spending as much of winter break as I can with her leading up till Christmas.
When I thought my hair looked decent enough, I headed downstairs, grabbed my bag, and headed out. I have to hurry up, I had told Jack to pick me up today.
Jack was already waiting outside in his truck. I got in, and helped myself to a cup of coffee he bought from Starbucks on the way here.
I've gotten two tickets already in only the past year, therefore I've been grounded from driving my own car for like, 2 months. But it's cool, I get my keys back in like 3 days. I've been a patient, good boy. Soon I'll be behind the wheel of my Mustang baby once again. Usually, I'd just ride my bike to school, but it's like 20 below outside.
"Wassup my friend?" Jack greeted me as he started driving down the road.
"I'm inviting Tay over today. I've been working on a little something.."
"Something?"
"Yeah, I wrote her a song. It's a lot cooler than it sounds, really."
"Yeah, I bet. Hey, we're all gonna go hang at Rian's tomorrow. His mom is making those cookies again, and I can't miss out on that." He looked really excited about it. He's seriously such a child, not even kidding.
"So, you comin'?"
"Uh, I don't know..I really want to hang with Tay-"
"Dude. Bro time. Come on, you've got the whole break!"
I thought about it for a second before giving in.
"Well, I guess I can just wait till Wednesday..that's when I get to drive again anyway. And I mean, Mrs. Dawson's sugar cookies are the bomb."
Indeed they are.
"Ha, cool. Good to know you won't be breaking the tradition this year." Jack joked as he put the car in park.
"Well, I'm gonna go find Tay. See ya." I shrugged my bag onto my shoulder and went inside, heading for Tay's locker.
I waited for her there for about 5 minutes, then I finally saw her walking my way. She had her hair up again, I love it like that. My face immediately lit up, and I held out my arms for her to hug me. She smiled back at me, and walked into my embrace.
Her hugs really make my day, I just...I love how close she is to me. She smells so good..
Tay eventually pulled out of the hug, and went to unlock her locker.
"So Tay, I was wondering something.." I started. She looked at me, giving me a questioning look.
"Hm?"
"Wanna come over to mine today?"
"What for?"
"You know, just to hang. I also have a surprise for you."
"Ew, surprises." She stuck out her tongue at me.
"Why are you surprising me?"
I shrugged. "Maybe I wanna repay you for my AMAZING birthday gifts."
"Ah, I see you're enjoying them." She nodded to what I was wearing.
I have on the Blink hoodie she got me, and the OM&M bracelet.
"Ha, yeah. Thanks again."
"Ha, no problem."
Just then, the bell rang.
"So, see ya in algebra!" I waved at her, then headed to class.

When algebra came around, I remembered that I needed to ask her for a ride to my place this afternoon (Yeah, I know. It's an embarrassing punishment.)
Our teachers pretty strict and she happened to be writing something on the board at the moment, so I ripped out a sheet of paper, wrote on it, and passed it to her.
Hey. Not to be a bother, but could you give me a lift to my place?
She wrote back.
You can't drive?
I'm forbidden at the moment.
Do I even wanna know? :P
Not really. But can ya?
Sure, just come with me after music.

She just nodded, then returned her attention to whatever the teacher was writing.

The day went on with me getting a little nervous about hanging with Tay this afternoon. But a good nervous, I think. In music today, I heard some loud squeal, and when I looked over, I saw some bright-haired girl smiling my way while Tay was smacking her arm a little, trying to get her to shut up. That must be Hayley.
After that class, I went to my locker, then met Tay at her's. We went out to her little red car.
"Punch buggy!" I gave her a soft little punch on the arm.
She rolled her eyes and laughed.
"You're such a kid. Now, where to?"
I gave her the directions to my house, and we just listened to the Enema Of The State CD she put in on the way there.
We got to my house, and she gazed up at it.
"Wow, pretty."
I scoffed. "Well, my room is manlier so come on."
I led her into the house and up that stairs to my room. We sat on my bed.
"Oh shit, sorry..you're a guest! Would you like anything to eat? A drink? Snack?" I offered.
Her face fell in a way. She shook her head no, and deeply sighed.
"You alright?"
"Y-yeah, I'm..I'm fine, thanks."
I'm kind of concerned about her..
There was a bit of an awkward silence for a while, but then she perked up.
"So! How about that surprise you have for me?" She smirked.
"Oh, right! I almost forgot!" I got up, grabbed my guitar, and sat back down.
"I wrote a little song for you!"
She looked surprised. "Seriously?!"
"Yeah! I'm gonna play it for you. This is called, Six Feet Under The Stars."
She flashed me a smile, as I strummed the first chord and began to sing.

When the song ended, I looked up at her to see tears in her eyes. I quickly put my guitar away and sat closer to her, placing my arm around her shoulders.
"Hey, you okay?"
She broke out into the biggest smile, and hugged my middle.
"That was really beautiful Alex, thank you." She sniffed.
I hugged her back.
"You're welcome."
We sat like that for a moment, then she pulled away and sat back upright.
"Wait, isn't there a Thames Street here?"
"Ha, yeah..that's the point, actually."
"Oh?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out on Thames Street with me on Wednesday. They have a ton of stuff over there, and uh..do you wanna go with me?"
"Alex...are you..asking me out on a date?"
Oh shit.
"Uh...no. I mean- maybe? I-I dunno, do you want it to be?" I awkwardly scratched the back of my head, nervous that she'll say no.
She just looked down and sighed, playing with her fingers.
No! I will not be rejected right now! This can't happen!
Before she could respond, I added:
"Or, we just go as friends, ya know? We could just hang and go get coffee, maybe look in the shops, or whatever you wanna do. It'll be nice."
She looked back up at me, and her lips curved upward into a smile.
"That does sound nice, I'd like that."
YEEESSSSSSS!!!!!
"Ha, cool." I smiled back at her.
For the next two hours, we just stayed sat on my bed, and watched Adventure Time. Then, we ended up just talking about our favorite bands, and what's been going on at school and such. It was really nice. But the whole time, one thing wouldn't get out of my head:
I'm going on a date with Tay Jardine.

Me on the other hand, I think I'm doing a really bad job on this. Like, I feel like I'm a pretty good writer, but then compared to other good writers, I'm terrible at it xD
But yeah, I honestly think I suck. I should really just stop writing, but I've already come up with all the plot twists so I guess I'll just continue to the end. If you all could stick with me till the end, that would be awesome, I love you all so much <3
