Kiss Me Again

I dragged myself out of homeroom, still in a shitty mood from earlier this morning.
I'm fat. No one cares about me.
I was staring at the ground when I was walking, so I didn't even notice that I walked right into Alex.
"Oops! S-sorry..I wasn't paying attention.."
He cupped my chin and lifted my head up. He looked into my eyes, scanning my sad face.
"Please tell me what's wrong, Tay."
"I'M FINE, ALEX. PLEASE JUST BACK OFF!"
I didn't mean to snap at him, I'm just sort of a bitch when I get in my moods.
Alex quickly placed his hands back to his side, and had a hurt look on his face.
"S-sorry. I didn't mean to yell, I just..I'm just having a bad day. I just need a bit of space-"
The second I said that, he backed up a little and looked down at his shoes.
"A-and hugs?" I tried to lighten the mood, not wanting him to feel unwanted.
He looked up and smiled at that, then held out his arms. I walked into his embrace, and instantly felt all warm. I started to feel a bit better knowing that someone cared.
When the hug ended, I looked up at him and smiled.
"Thanks, Alex."
"No problem. Come on, let's get you to class."
When we got to my English class, I gave him another quick hug, then I went inside and walked over to a seat by Jack and Zack.
I sat beside Jack, and Zack was sitting turned around in his chair in front of Jack.
"Hey, J and Z!" I smiled, feeling a lot better because of Alex.
"Hey Zack, she called us Jay-Z!" Jack chuckled.
Zack just shrugged and said "That's fine with me, as long as I get Beyonce."
We all laughed at that for a while, until the bell rang and class started.

At the end of class, Jack stopped me and Zack stood beside him.
"Hey, Tay. So..Alex's birthday is Friday, and we're throwing a party for him. You've gotta be there." Jack grinned.
"I didn't know his birthday was this week!"
"Well yeah...it is. ANYWAAAY..we're having it at Zack's place. It's really nice, and his parent's are gonna be out the whole weekend."
Zack nodded in agreement.
"I'll text you the address later. You in?"
This sounded like fun, of course I wanted to be there for Alex's birthday.
"Yeah, I'll try to make it!" I grinned.
They both grinned back.
"Cool."
"But wait- what do I wear?!" I started panicking- I don't know why, but I just felt that I needed to look my best for Alex.
"Just wear something sexy." Jack winked.
I gave him a little death glare.
"Hey! You've gotta dress hot for Alex, it's his birthday! Am I right?"
They both shared a little fist bump. I rolled my eyes.
"You guys are too much.." I laughed, then made my way out of the classroom.

The rest of the day went by fine, I wasn't really in a bad mood anymore.
At lunch, though, I spent most of my time staring down at my sandwich.
I wanted to eat it, but I knew I shouldn't, on account that I'm fat enough already.
The guys were having some big debate on who's better- Blink-182 or Green Day. I just tuned out of the conversation when my stomach started to upset me, and my ham sandwich was practically mocking me.
Just eat it. You know you want to..
But no! I can't! I'll get even fatter!
Oh God, I'm such a pig!!
I was at war with my thoughts.
Alex turned for a second and looked at me, skeptical of why I hadn't eaten any of my sandwich.
"You okay? Aren't you gonna eat?"
I just shook my head no.
"I'm just not really that hungry.." and RIGHT on time, my stomach makes a huge, disturbing noise that could be heard by Alex, even over the guys's loud arguing.
"Huh, that's funny. I think you are." he gave me a stern look.
I rolled my eyes and sighed, giving in and taking a bite of my sandwich.
He smiled, then turned back into the guys's conversation.
I hope he's happy. I grunted, then continued eating my sandwich which in that moment, after not eating anything all day, tasted absolutely golden.
