Paige stood in the bathroom, anxiously awaiting the results of the pregnancy test she had just violated. Bella was standing outside waiting for her, which made Paige even more anxious. Silently, she prayed that it would be a positive result. She didn't care how stupid she sounded, she was ready for it. She knew it, she felt it. She wanted it. Paige paced the bathroom as she waited for the result to show up. The information leaflet had said to leave it afterwards for approximately three minutes, so she had put the timer on her phone and suddenly, it seemed like she was waiting for hours. Paige took her place in front of the mirror, playing with her hair and debating putting more makeup on. Well, she needed to pass the time somehow. - - - - - - - - - - Bella stood outside the bathroom door, pacing backwards and forwards, nervously nibbling at her nails as she waited for Paige to come out. She remembered how it seemed like only yesterday, that she was in this same situation. Except she didn't have anybody standing on the outside of the bathroom door waiting for her. And whilst it hurt her to know that Paige had thought that Bella wouldn't care, Bella was still happy that Paige had finally told her everything and let herself be helped by her best friend. She sat down right outside of the door as she waited. Paige did look somewhat.. plump. And like she had said to Bella earlier.. she hadn't had her period in like two months. And she was being very hormonal. This could surely only mean one thing. Bella started to get excited, biting her lip to keep herself quiet as she continued to wait. - - - - - - - - - - The timer on Paige's phone started ringing. Finally. Three minutes was finally up. More like three hours. Paige put down her makeup and hair accessories and walked over to the counter where she had set down the test. Wincing slightly, she picked it up and dared to look. - - - - - - - - - - Bella heard the timer alarm ring. She squealed in excitement as she stood up and brushed herself down, waiting for her best friend to open the door and tell her the good news. Two minutes passed though and Paige was nowhere to be seen. Bella checked her watch and then her phone to check that they both said the same time. Bella and Paige had both synchronised their watches and phones so where the hell was she? - - - - - - - - - - Huge, salty tears began to form in Paige's eyes as with one hand, she covered her mouth. With her other hand, she held the test. Barely. Her hand had an extreme case of the shakes and she thought she was going to drop the test. She walked towards the door. Everything was silent and as she reached for the door handle, she heard Bella tell her to "hurry up". Opening the bathroom door, Paige revealed a clearly excited Bella who had the world's biggest smile on her face. - - - - - - - - - - "Hurry up!" Bella squealed. "Come on, open the door!" She heard the lock click and watched as the handle started to tilt. She tried to contain her excitement and calm her nerves as she watched her best friend walk out of the bathroom with her hand clasped over her mouth and tears in her eyes.
