"Hey, guys. Everything going good?" Alex asked when the guys came over to the merch table todo a signing the next day.
"Great." I nodded.
"Really great." Vinny said, looking at Alex and Jack. "Like, I'm talking record highs in sales today.""It's 'cause we have a cute merch girl." Jack said, winking at me.
"What's up with you and Barakat?" Vinny asked me as they walked away.
"Nothing." I said automatically.
"Am I picking up some sexual tension there?" He asked, grinning.
"How the hell should I know what you're picking up?" I asked, growing irritated.
"Alright. I'll just ask him then." Vinny shrugged.
"Fine."
"Fine."
"Vinny!" I exclaimed. "Don't say anything! He's going to think I like him or something!"
Vinny rolled his eyes. "What are you, Chloe? Five? Come on, let me ask him."
"What the fuck ever." I huffed, crossing my arms.
"Chloe, why is it that whenever I find myself in a five foot radius of you, I hear profanity?" Rian asked. The signing was over. "Think of the children."
"Hey, Rian? Fuck off." I replied.
"Okay, ice queen. Hey, what's this I hear about you and Carlile?" Zack asked.
I looked at Jack, my mouth dropping open. "You didn't."
"I merely. . . how should I phrase this? All I did was state my observations." Jack shrugged.
"I hate you." I glared at him.
"No, you don't."
"Yes. I really do."
"Nope."
"Whatever! There's absolutely nothing going on between me and Austin." I told the other guys firmly.
"That's not what he said this morning." Alex said.
"Oh my god." I moaned, putting my head in my hands. "What did he say?"
"All good things. Very vivid description though." Rian said.
"I'm going to kill him!" I said angrily.
"It's time for your break, so if you were planning on murder today then now is the perfect time." Vinny said.
"I'l be back in a few." I said, marching off to find Austin. I caught him just as he was leaving his bus.
"Hi, gorgeous. How are you today?" He asked smoothly.
"Why the hell have you made it your mission to tell everyone every detail of our. . . relations?" I asked, still angry.
"We're guys. It's what we do. I'm sorry." He said, seeming genuinely apologetic.
"It would make me happy if you would. . . not do that." I said finally.
"I won't. Promise. Do you want to come watch our set today?" He asked.
"Can't. I'm on break now. I have to work. Some other time." I shrugged. "I guess I'll see you later."
"Hey, Chloe?" He called as I was leaving with a smirk on his face. "Let's do it again sometime and I'll show you how well I keep my promises."

It was blazing hot outside; Vinny and I were ecstatic when it was time to clean up and go back to the bus.
"Long first day." Vin said. I merely nodded in agreement.
"Alex says you have," Rian looked down at his watch whenever Vinny and I came in, then moved his eyes back to me, "Three minutes to get to the back lounge before he kicks your ass."
I groaned, wondering what could be in store. "What is it, assbutt?"
"Did you just call me an assbutt?" Alex asked without taking his eyes from the screen where he and Jack were playing Call of Duty.
"Yeah." I shrugged, sitting down next to Jack.
"I need you on my team." Alex said.
"I don't wanna be on your team." I replied.
"Please?"
"Jack, can I be on your team?" I asked.
"Of course you can. Alex, you can have Zack." Jack said.
"I don't want Zack, he's terrible." Alex whined. "I want Chloe. How come you get Chloe?"
"'Cause he's not an assbutt." I answered for Jack. "Are we going to play or not?"
"I hope you lose." Alex huffed. We didn't. Jack and I completely murdered Alex and Zack.
"Good work, partner." Jack grinned at me.
