We'll Be A Legend Tonight

"I'm around if you need me." Alan said for the billionth time. "Come find me or Austin if you need anything, alright?"
"Funny how I'm actually older than you but you still act like my father." I said coolly. "Go. Be free, Alan. I'll see you around."
It was summer again so my cousin Alan and I were hitting the Warped Tour; he with his band, me as a merch girl.
"Hi, Vinny!" I grinned at my coworker as I came onto the bus we were sharing with All Time Low.
"Chloe!" He greeted me. "The guys just left, no idea where they-"
"We were looking for our missing merch girl but it looks like you found her for us." Alex's voice said from behind me.
I jumped. "You scared me!"
"We already claimed bunks. You're underneath Jack." Rian smirked at me.
"Guys!" I cried. "You'd really throw me to the lions like that?"
"Every man for himself on this bus, Clo." Jack laughed. "Don't act like you don't love me."
"We were going to go to the party tonight if you wanted to come with."
"Of course. Alan left his wallet in my bag so I'll have to go over to his bus." I said, heading for the door.
"I wanted to talk to Austin so I'll come." Jack followed me. "Are you excited to spend the summer on tour?"
"Hell yeah I am." I laughed. "Nice to do something different."
"It's going to be a fun summer." He agreed.
"Hey Alan, not to lecture you about responsibility or anything. . . but stop fucking leaving your wallet around." I said, throwing it at him.
Alan smiled sheepishly. "Thanks, Chloe."
"Hey, C!" Austin hugged me tighly, lifting me off my feet. "So great to see you!"
"Omf- Hi, Austin." I said, my voice muffled because of his bear hug.
"You look good." He said, eyeing me appreciatively. "It's been too long."
"We'll have to make up for lost time." I grinned, fluttering my eyelashes at him.
Jack and I left shortly later and he smirked at me. "You and Austin, huh?"
"What on earth are you talking about?" I asked, playing clueless.
"You were totally flirting with each other!" Jack said.
I'd had a huge crush on Austin since I'd first met him, when Alan joined the band. We'd always flirted but nothing happened until last year, when we hooked up after a party. Alan had no idea. I was beyond ecstatic to have him on the tour.

What have you been up to lately?" Alex asked me at the party that night. "You haven't been to see us in forever."
"I've been in school. We can't all be rock stars like you!" I joked.
"Are you still dating that guy?" He asked.
"Uh, no. No, we're not together anymore." I said, feeling rather warm.
"Yeah? Jack was dating a younger girl but they didn't really work out either." Alex shrugged. "Me and Lisa are great, thanks for asking."
"Asshole."
"It's good to have you. I'd rather have a friend tour with us than just a random, ya know?" He smiled.
"I brought you two shots since you're having trouble finding them on your own." Jack interrupted us, thrusting a shot glass at both me and Alex.
"Oh dear. Trashed already, are we?" I asked, giggling.
"Just drink, sass queen." Jack replied. "Here's to a kickass summer!" I'd drink to that any day.
