Thinking of You

Arianne’s Perspective

After literally kissing Zack goodbye before he had to get to his bus to drive to Birmingham, which was two hours away from Brixton, where we were, I went back up into mine and Cora’s hotel room, moping a little.

“What’s wrong?” Cora asked.

I sighed.

“Zack left for Birmingham,” I told her.

“Oh hon. Well at least now you have his number,” she pointed out.

I nodded.

“You’re right. We’ll keep in touch. It’ll be okay.”

“Did anything else happen?” She asked.

“Oh yeah. He asked me to be his girlfriend.” I grinned ear to ear.

She squealed, jumping up and down and clapping her hands together.

“That’s great! I’m so happy for you!” She gushed.

“Thanks.” I smiled.

“Hey, let’s go shopping to keep your mind off it,” Cora suggested.

“Now you’re talking!” I laughed.

We shopped for a few hours, grabbed lunch, and then went to the bookstore and just read for hours until we got hungry for dinner and went to dinner. When we got back to the hotel, I was exhausted, so I took a hot shower and went to bed.

The last two days of the trip were spent sight-seeing and enjoying our short time in England. I tried to keep my mind off of Zack and keep things in perspective. In two days, I would be home and I could text him to my heart’s content.

Since we were only going for three days, we didn’t get an international plan for our phones, so I kept mine on airplane mode. But since Zack traveled so much, he had an international plan, so even if he was in the UK when I was in America, we could still text since we both had iPhones.

Soon, it was time to get on the plane to go home. The flight was just as long, but it felt like it was going on forever. We finally landed and Cora drove me home. It was late at night, so even though I was jet lagged, I was going to try to get some sleep.

I sent Zack a quick text before I drifted off, letting him know that I’d gotten home safely and was thinking of him.
