Zack’s Perspective

I couldn’t believe it. Arianne had the nerve to not call me back, blow me off at every opportunity, go on a date with another guy, then show up, not only to my show, but to my Meet and Greet.

“Dude, you can’t say that to a fan.” Rian nudged me.

“She’s not just a fan. That’s Arianne!”

“I know, man, but you just have to be professional about this. Let her explain.”

“Yeah, please Zack?” Arianne pleaded, giving me the puppy dog eyes.

I sighed.

“Fine.”

“Okay, so you wrote your number on my hand in magic marker. And I woke up the next morning and I was hungover, so I forgot it was there and took a shower, only realizing it when it was too late and it had washed off my hand. I really liked you and that was the only way I knew how to get in contact with you,” she explained.

“Obviously not,” I pointed out, gesturing around the room.

“I didn’t know you were in a band until a few weeks ago when I saw you on TV because you never told me!” She defended.

Matt was giving me a look that said, ‘Move on to the next fan,’ so I turned to Rhiannon.

“Look, we clearly have a lot to talk about, so how about you and I go get dinner or something after this?” I suggested.

“Sure. I’d like that,” she said, smiling slightly.

Rhiannon’s Perspective

So I didn’t exactly make things right with Zack, but at least I got a promise that we’d talk after the show. The reassurance that Zack would hear me out allowed me to enjoy the rest of the Meet and Greet. I had fun talking to Jack, who squeezed me in a bone crushing hug and declared me his “best friend.”

Soon, the meet and greet was over and we headed into the venue. The show was amazing. I could see why they were so popular. Soon, it was over, and everyone flooded out of the venue, but I took my time. Cora headed out with the crowd and I promised to meet her back at the hotel once I was done talking to Zack.

I headed out of the venue. Jack and Alex were standing around, meeting fans. I approached them and some girls in line gave me dirty looks, but I ignored them.

“Where’s Zack?” I asked.

“On the bus,” Jack replied and beckoned for me to come closer, which I did.

He bent down to whisper in my ear.

“Door’s unlocked, just go right in,” he whispered and stood up straight again.

“Thanks!” I smiled widely and walked towards the bus, waving to Jack and Alex, who waved back at me.

I found the bus easily and climbed on. I walked through, glancing around for any sign of Zack. I reached the bunk room and found him sitting on the bottom bunk, his hands folded between his knees.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

“Alex and Jack said I could find you here,” I explained.

“Yeah, well, you found me.” He threw his hands up.

“Zack, listen. I’m so sorry. I had the time of my life that night, with you. I never meant to lose your number,” I said.

“Well, you have to understand my perspective. I didn’t know what was going on. For all I knew, you woke up and realized that that night was a waste of your time,” he replied.

“I know. I know how it looks. But trust me, I searched everywhere for you,” I told him.

“You mean that?” he asked.

“Yeah.” I nodded and smiled at him.

He slowly rose to his feet and walked to me. He cupped my cheek in the palm of his hand and leaned down, bringing his lips to mine softly. Butterflies erupted in my stomach as he kissed me sweetly. He broke off and smiled at me.

“I’ve been waiting to do that.”
