Ok, so maybe Alex was a little bit scared of the note. Who was his kidding? He was petrified! He didn't want to get beat up but he needed to tell Jack. He had to tell him what his so-called 'friends' were like without him, though Alex was pretty sure Jack had a rough idea already, judging by the bruise on his eye which still hadn't got any better. Alex sighed and cuddled up to Jack. He knew Jack was smiling.

"Hey Lex?" Jack asked. Alex giggled and his cheeks turned bright pink.

"Yeah, Jacky?"

"You wanna come back to mine? I mean, we can't sit in the school parking lot all night." They both laughed a little.

"Yeah sure, Jack-"

"And why did you blush when I called you Lex?" Jack smirked. Alex's blush became brighter.

"I dunno... I don't normally like being called Lex... But I kinda like it when you call me it. It fits right..." Alex could tell that his entire face was burning red and he knew that he sounded like an absolute girl but this was Jack. He knew he wouldn't laugh. Well, he hoped anyway.

"Awww, Lex! That's cute." Jack said, a blush forming on his own cheeks. They sat there for another few minutes, before getting up and into their own cars. Alex followed Jack back to his house, which wasn't far from his own, only 2 or 3 blocks away. For some reason, Alex found that rather comforting, to know that Jack was only a 5 minute walk away. They pulled up outside Jack's house. Alex climbed out of his car and met Jack at the door. Jack opened the door to let Alex in but when he turned to face the boy, he realised that Alex had taken about 6 steps back, away from the house.

"Hey, Lex, it's fine. I know we haven't know each other for long but I feel like I know you," He smiled, "And I have double chocolate chip cookies." He added teasingly. Alex's eyes turned from wary to extremely excited in a matter of milliseconds. Jack laughed.

"I knew you'd be happy when I told you." He smirked with a cheeky raise of his eyebrows. Alex laughed and walked into the house. It was nice. Modern, yet homely. Jack closed the door and led Alex into the kitchen. He opened a large tin and revealed hundreds (exaggeration) of cookies. Alex shyly dipped his hand in and pulled a giant cookie out of it. He grinned from ear to ear. Jack laughed.

"You're such a kid!" He joked.

"As if you're not!" Alex yelled, almost swallowing the cookie whole. Jack ate two cookies within seconds of each other and Alex just rolled his eyes.

"Wanna go up to my room and watch a movie?" Jack suggested. Alex nodded and they quickly made their way to Jack's room. Jack pushed a movie into the DVD player, sat on his bed and pressed play. Alex sat on the floor at the side of the bed.

"Hey!" Jack said, drawing his eyebrows together. He sounded offended.

"What did I do?" Alex replied sadly. Jack smiled. Alex looked confused.

"I must smell! Do I smell?" Alex shook his head, "Come sit next to me then!" Cautiously, Alex sat down next to Jack on the bed.

"Why so wary, Lex?"

"I dunno Jacky... Just.... We're sitting on your bed..." He put emphasise on the word 'bed'.

"I sit on my bed with my cousins! You're my friend, Alex. You're allowed to sit on my bed with me." Jack explained. Alex frowned.

"But I thought we weren't friends, Jack..." He looked away from the screen.

"What?" Jack mumbled, "I thought we were getting along, Alex. I invited you to my house-"

"We kissed, Jack. I thought that maybe that changed something... Don't worry. We are friends. It's fine." Jack nodded and they carried on watching the film. But Jack hadn't realised what Alex had been hinting at. Alex had kissed the little fucker! And the little fucker had kissed back! He'd initiated the kiss in the first place! Alex wanted, needed more. But clearly Jack didn't want that. And that broke Alex's heart a little. He really liked Jack. Like a LOT. And he'd thought that maybe Jack did too. Apparently not.

Jack was a little taken aback by Alex's friend comment. Yeah, Jack wanted more than a friendship with the extremely attractive guy that his was currently cuddling with, but Jack didn't want to go into anything before Alex was ready. And apparently they weren't friends now?! It hurt him, it really did. He was very attracted to Alex and he thought that Alex could return the feeling but maybe Jack had got it wrong? Maybe Alex didn't like Jack in the same way?

A sudden explosion came from the screen making both boys jump and hold on to each other slightly tighter.

"Jacky..." Alex whispered, "I don't like this film... It's really scary..." Jack could tell that Alex was being genuine.

"I don't like it either, Lex." And he turned the film off. The room was plunged into darkness. Jack quickly leant over and turned his left bedside lamp on and then the right. A yellow glow enveloped the room. Alex curled into Jack's side. Jack smiled to himself and wrapped his arm around Alex's waist.

"Alex... What happened earlier?" He asked slowly. Guess now is as good a time as any, thought Alex. He took a deep breath.

"I went to my locker after school and... And I found a note at the bottom. It, erm. It said... Here," He mumbled, pulling the note out of his pocket and handing it to Jack. Jack read the note slowly and thoroughly.

"Lex, I... I'm so sorry. They're freaking fucktards with an appetite for bullying. They're idiots and you know it. Don't listen to them. I won't let them get to you. I won't let them hurt you, Alex." Jack said, holding Alex's face in his hands as if to prove his point.

"And I don't want them hurting you either, Jacky. I don't want to ever see you like how you were at lunch ever again! It was painful to look at what they'd done to someone I care so much about, even though we barely know each other. I don't want to have to go through that heartache again, Jacky. I can't deal with it. We need to do something about them. Get someone with authority involved. Like the principle or someone." Alex stuttered.

"I dunno, Lex..."

"Dunno about what Jack?"

"I dunno what they would do if we told someone like that. They might flip out. Dammit, I know they will! They'll be a hundred times worse if we tell someone," He paused, "I do have an idea though..."

"What is it Jack?"

"No, it's a stupid idea... I thought that maybe... Maybe we could tell the principle about other people they've bullied. Get them into more trouble. Maybe even get them in isolation. Or get them expelled!"

"I dunno about that last part, Jacky, but I think it's worth a shot!"

"Ya thank so?" Jack said, eyes burning bright.

"I do, babe," Alex stopped, embarrassed about his use of the word 'babe', "I mean... I do, Jack..." An awkward silence fell across the room. Then Alex lifted his head and looking up at Jack.

"I'm going to kiss you." He said simply. Jack smiled.

"Fine by me. Babe." And their lips crashed together. This kiss wasn't like the one under the tree. This kiss was needy and hungry and just perfect. Somehow, Alex ended up straddling Jack, using filthy little grinds to keep Jack (and himself) moaning. He had his fingers wound tightly in Jack's hair and Jack held Alex's hips, urging him to continue grinding. Small moans of pleasure tumbled out of both boys' mouths.They both knew that this had to go further. It had to, needed to. They needed it to! Alex broke the kiss and started to work at Jack's neck, kissing, sucking, biting, anything to leave his mark. Jack was moaning rather loud by this point and the obvious tent in his jeans also added to the suggestion of his pleasure. Alex continued to give Jack a hickey as he removed one hand from Jack's hair and let it travel down Jack's chest, arriving at its bulging destination fairly quickly. Jack groaned loudly as Alex started to palm him through his jeans. And that was when Jack's mom decided to come in from work.
