Jack's third and forth lessons could not go any slower. Maybe it was because he was excited about why Alex wanted to see him after school. I mean, technically, they'd only known each other for two days and that's not very long at all. It's not like Alex was gonna invite Jack round to his house already, right? Maybe, Jack thought, he might just. He had seemed pretty into the kiss earlier that day. Maybe he would invite Jack around. Nar, he corrected, Alex was too shy to ask that after only two days. But what if he wasn't? The thousands of questions Jack could ever ask about it would be answered at 3:30. Man, that clock just would not speed up! And Jack had even resulted in using his ultrasonic telekinesis powers to try and run that damn clock hand round but it just would not work. By 3:00, Jack was ready to just bunk off and wait for Alex outside in the sun but he knew that if he did that it would lead to an automatic detention. And Jack really didn't want that after school. He decided that if he concentrated on the lesson, then maybe it might go quicker. He blinked about 182 times before he finally regained some sort of consciousness where he could possibly learn. And within minutes, the lesson was over. Damn, Jack thought, Mom was right all these years. He quickly stuffed his belongings into his rucksack and practically propelled himself out of the classroom. He managed to dodge Zack and Rian by the lockers as he threw himself down the stairs and he pushed open the front doors with ease. But Alex wasn't out yet. He sat on the steps and waiting, patiently. Ok, so not the patiently part but he did wait. He waited for 10 whole minutes.

Alex sat patiently through his maths and world studies lessons, knowing fully well that Jack would be dying to know why he'd asked him to meet him after school. And to be honest, Alex wanted to know why too! He hadn't quite thought through his plan correctly and so far he'd had only planned up to meeting Jack at 3:30. To say he was panicking was a slight understatement. He wanted to do something with Jack and he had mentioned his arse, but what exactly did he want to do? The bell rang for the end of the lesson and Alex's panicking only got worse. He didn't start packing up his stuff until the rest of the class had left and when he did start packing, he did it very slowly. He slung his bag over his shoulder and cautiously left the classroom. To burn more time, Alex decided to stop by his locker. He punched in his combination and opened the door. The corridors were empty. Alex glanced into his locker and his eyes were instantly drawn to a folded piece of lined paper laying on the floor of his locker. He bent down to pick it up and unfolded it as he stood back up. The note wasn't what he'd expected it to be at all.

You've changed our friend Jack. He's not the same. We liked Jack before. We don't now. Why? Because he gets all defensive over your little faggot arse. He's our friend, Gaskank, not your's. If you don't back off within the next week, we'll get you. And we'll get you so bad, you'll be having nightmares for months. Alex read the letter once, twice, eighteen times. If he'd got the note this morning, he'd confidently be able to say that they were empty threats but after what they'd done to Jack today, he wasn't so sure if they were. He blinked back several tears before stuffing the note in his jean pocket, slamming his locker shut and running out of school, bag hung safely over his shoulders.

Jack was just about to leave school after getting bored of waiting, when Alex came running out of the building in floods of tears. He almost fell over Jack as he ran for his car.

"Hey, Alex!" Jack yelled after him, "Alex! What's wrong?!"

Jack ran after Alex and pinned him up against his car door once he reached him. Alex looked up into Jack's eyes and burst into tears again. Jack wrapped his arms around Alex, balling him up into his chest and stroking his hair.

"Hey, it's okay. It's okay. Shhhhhshhh shh shh shh. It's okay Alex. I'm here. It's fine. Shhh." He said, trying to as comforting as possible. Alex's tears began to subside and he curled up against Jack's chest.

"Thank you." He whispered with a sniff.

"It's nothing Alex. We're friends, it's the least I could do," Jack replied with a friendly smile, "You gonna tell me why you ran out of school crying or...? You don't have to, I mean, if you don't want to-" Alex pressed his lips against Jack's.

"You waffle on a lot." He said with a small smirk. Jack grinned. Alex was okay. Jack frowned.

"What was wrong though-" Alex pressed his lips roughly on Jack's again.

"Seriously. You talk to much." And he cuddled up against Jack with a sigh.
