Wendy, run away with me?

Wendy's POV:

Saying I wasn't excited was an understatement. I was trying my best not to jump in my seat as I drove my sister and I to Alex's house. Yeah, a week had past since the announcement and rumors said that they were already in town. I knew where Alex lived since our parents were really close. It's been a while since I had visited Alex's parents. I felt bad, they'd always ask about me when my parents visited them but I wouldn't dare to go, it reminded me too much of Alex.

"We're here!" I cheered as I parked my car right in front of the blue coloured house. It was just like any other house in Baltimore, nothing special.

"Finally!" My sister, Holly, let out an a loud sigh of relief as she exited the car. I followed her actions and ran to the door. Holly chuckled behind me as she caught up. I stood in front of the door, this door was just a small barrier between me and my Alex. Behind it, a key to my past and lovable life was standing. Every happy moment, every funny moment would be back into my life. I closed my eyes, let out a breath and knocked the door. Here goes nothing.

"Oh Wendy! Holly! Come on in, the boys are in just hanging out at the pool." She greeted us. Pool? The had a pool?

"Um.... Where's the pool?" I dumbly asked. "Oh, in the backyard honey. I'll get snacks later."

I felt so stupid. Where else would a pool be, the bathroom? I mentally face-palmed at my own thought. I felt Holly chuckle beside me. In the corner of my eye I saw her giving me a are-you-serious? face. I ignored her and made my way to the backyard. One more step, I thought to my self. I stepped outside to face four of my best friends. Oh, nope, four of my favourite rock stars.

They all were laying down on the beach chairs (i dont know its name) . I cleared my throat to get their attention. Alex just said without turning around, "Just put the sandwiches on the table mom. We'll eat them later. By the way when is Wendy coming?"

"Well, you'd know when if turn to us." I responded. They all turned around and screamed our names as they came to us. Zack and Rian hugged me first, which kinda hurt, I expected Alex to hug me first. After they hugged me, Jack came over and gave me a bone-crushing hug. I struggled for breath as he let me go and mumbled an apology. Alex then came over and whispered as he hugged me, "A kiss for those hungry lips?"

I chuckled as I nodded. I instantly felt his warm lips on mine. Just like it was a year ago. Sparks flew, butterflies, no, dragons erupted in my stomach. We pulled apart, panting for breath. I hugged him again, "I missed you so much Alex. This place was hell without you."

"I missed you too Wendy. I won't leave you again. But now, I'm starving and I need those sandwiches." He chuckled as he let go of me and intertwined our hands and led me to the sandwich table.

"Hey, look! The love birds have united!" Holly laughed as she saw us coming. I brushed her off as I sat down with all of the others. We talked, laughed at jokes and recalled memories from the past. I looked at them, nothing has changed much. They just became louder. I truly missed them. I knew that the next 3 months would be perfect. But after that? I'd have to go back to college. What would I do then?

Alex gave me a kiss on the cheek, snapping out of my thoughts. "Come on, we've got swimming suits since last year. We have to swim!" He cheered as he led me and Holly to his room and pulled out my old swimming suit. We put them on in the bathroom ,alone of course and joined them.

We swam for hours non-stop. It was so much fun. We each took a shower when it was getting dark. Later on we decided to go out for dinner. I chose that we'd go to the new restaurant that was just down the block. They all agreed. We went with my car as Alex's car was out of gas. Who would've guessed?

After dinner, Alex said he's take me alone to some place he used to go when he was feeling down or just wanted some privacy. I accepted thinking its just us trying to catch up.

We went there walking. I gave Rian my car keys, I trusted him the most. We kept walking for fifteen minutes. He led me through a forest. We stopped right next to a lake with two huge stones. He sat on one of them and patted the stone next to him. I joined him after falling twice.

"I'd come here alone to relax or write songs. Some times after we fight, I'd come here to cool down." He whispered. He threw a rock into the water, it splashed twice before sinking. He chuckled and continued, "I really missed you Wendy. After we left, I had to change my number, hence the reason I wasn't able to call you. But we're back now and all I want is you. So, I hope I'm not too early with this but..... Wendy, will you be girlfriend?"

Did he just ask that?

He did!

What do I say? Oh god......
